Rate the Legends Team - Day Six: Blue Barracudas

Just like the other Legend related "rating" topics, we will rate every team that appeared on the show. Since there are only six teams, this rating topic will be done by the end of the week. For the first day, we will start off with the Silver Snakes. Here is some background information:

I shall give the Silver Snakes a 4. They are probably my second least favorite team to enter the temple. They have a bunch of bad episodes (Golden Cricket Cage, Snow Cone, Nathan Hale, Lost Hammer, and Mata Hari) are some episodes I refuse to watch. And while there were a lot of wins from this team, most of them are average or just suck. I like Sultan Saladin, Galileo's Cannonball, and Bandit Queen - that is pretty much it. Other than that, most of their episodes were weak and featured weak teams. Hell, the Silver Snakes in "Sir Edmund Hillary" were the only SS team to sweep the temple games. Most of their episodes are not at the top of my "Go back to watch" list. Overall, they are my least favorite team on the show.

I gave them a 5, they are also my second least favorite team. It seemed like they always made it to the temple in Season 1, especially after beating the Red Jaguars. And that just boring really fast. Didn't care about them in the latter two seasons either. But they DID have some solid runs, "Sultan Saladin," "Golden Earring," and "Bandit Queen," to name a few. They're not even an interesting team to look at too, must be their plain team colors.

I almost forgot to update this last night. Either way, the Silver Snakes end with a score of 5.00.

Next up is the Green Monkeys.

I am going to give the Silver Monkey a 9. There is no denying that this was the most dominant team on the show. They probably have the best set of wins on the show: Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress, Emiliano Zapata, Pirate Captain, and Apanuugpak. They also have a bunch of solid episodes that weren't wins like Ivan the Terrible and Empress Eugenie. A lot of my favorite episodes featured the Green Monkeys going to the temple. I did dock one point though because I was tired of seeing them going to the temple in S3. Other than that, they are one of the best teams if not the best team on the show.

I am going to give the Silver Monkey a 9.

Anyways, Green Monkeys get a 9. Great team with great episodes, whether it was a win or a loss. My only complaint is that they went to the temple way too much in Season 3. But even then, they only had maybe three bad runs and that's it.

Silver Monkey?

The Green Monkeys get a 9. They were the most dominant team and had some of the greatest teams ever on the show (David & Candice, Gator & Amanda, Jarrid & Jessica, Travis & Elise...) they only had three shit runs (William Tell, Robert the Bruce, Cosa Rara) of all the 6 teams, they were the best.

I would have said "Xerxes" was the crap run, but Cosa Rara was bad too I guess.

I personally don't mind Robert the Bruce at all. The temple run did have a bad outcome, but the team made just as much progress as the "Hans Holbein" team. It's not very exciting to watch, but not a terrible run. I agree with Cosa Rara though, that temple run is so boring and sucks. And William Tell and Xerxes are easily the worst Green Monkey runs.

This. Cosa Rara was a boring run, but not terrible like the latter two runs.

That's what makes the Green Monkeys a great team. Almost all of their runs were strong. They're my third favorite team on the show behind the Blue Barracudas (second) and the Purple Parrots (first).

I think this is a good stopping point for the Green Monkeys. They will finish with a 9.00.

I am going to give the Red Jaguars a 6. Even though they are one of my favorite teams (after the Green Monkeys), I have to admit that a lot of their episodes are just not good at all. Blackbeard's Treasure Map, Alhambra, Queen Nzinga, Charles Lindbergh, and Frederick Douglass are probably are bottom tier episodes on the show. And as many temple appearances they have made, only four of them resulted in wins. And in the episodes that they did win, the wins ended up being pretty easy except for one. But this team is memorable to me because red was my favorite color growing up and I remember their episodes more distinctively than other teams. Some of my favorite Red Jaguar episodes include Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Montezuma, Queen Boadicea, and Catherine the Great.
