Rate the Legends Team - Day Six: Blue Barracudas

I am giving the Blue Barracudas an 8. They were another pretty solid team on the show and there is a lot of stuff I like about them. Two of my all time favorite episodes are Barracuda episodes - Map to the Lost Gold Mine and Annie Taylor. Both of these episodes are in my top 5. Also, I love the colors of their shirts and they probably had the best shirt designs on the show. There is absolutely no reason to hate them either. They didn't have many bad episodes (Amelia Earhart, Stone Head, and Jean Lafitte are the only real bad ones). So I don't have a problem with them at all. Cool team design with a couple of my all time favorite episodes.

I give it an 8, for all the same reasons as TRJ. The Blue Barracudas are my second favorite team behind the Purple Parrots. And I also liked their team colors, very interesting to look at. My two favorite runs from them (being John Sutter and Annie Taylor) are some of my favorite episodes of all time. It's too bad they never won again after Annie Taylor.

8! Great wins, solid losses, my 3rd favourite team after the PPs and the GMs

I'll give the Barracudas an 8 as well. 3 of their 5 wins are in my top 20 (The Belly Button of Buddha, John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine, & The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor). And it was very rare to have them suck in the Temple. Only 2 temple runs are in the bottom 20 of mine (Jean Lafitte, & Mary Shelley). They are my Tied for3rd favorite team with the SS but behind the GM & RJ and ahead of the OI & PP. The Blue looks the most neonish of all the team colors as well.

My thoughts:
None of these rankings surprise me at all. All of these rankings pretty much make sense.

  : The most dominant team with some of the best wins.

  : The underdog team that everyone wants to root for and see succeed.

  : The team with some classic episodes that is hard to hate.

  : Another pretty successful team in the temple with some gems themselves.

  : The forgettable team that is filled with a lot of boring and bad episodes.

  : The team that went to the temple too many times with either lame wins or bad temple appearances.

There are some surprisers though, everyone knew the Green Monkeys were the best but to have the 2nd best be the Purple Parrots They went to the Temple the least but they got 5/11 artifacts grabbed which was good. It reall should've been 7 with Annie Oakley and the GET THE PEPPERONI. Really, even if the Purple Parrots are my least favorite team. They still do really good.

Although my second least favorite team the Orange Iguanas and my 2nd favorite team the Red Jaguars totally bombed it with runs like One Eyed Jack, Blackbeard, Alhambra, Grandy Nanny, and so on...

I do agree with the Silver Snakes and the Blue Barracudas rank.

I think the Purple Parrots are fine at #2. Even though they had the fewest temple appearances, it wasn't like they weren't advancing past the other rounds. They did lose the temple games 30+ times, so there was 30+ additional tries they had in the temple. And not to mention, a lot of those temple game losses were tiebreakers too. And they don't have a plethora of bad temple runs like the Red Jaguars, Silver Snakes, and Orange Iguanas did. There only real bad runs were Little John and Sultan Suleiman. Oracle Bowl kind of sucked too, but at least Jackie and Shane won two pendants.

But yeah, Annie Oakley and Blackfeet Chief should've been wins for sure. And Golden Pepperoni should've been an artifact grab, but we know the ending to that one.
