Thanks guys. Those two truly were good players. The reason I gave Damian an N/A for the Steps is because he never attempted to ring in and he never answered anything. Jennifer did the work there.

Better that than a 0.

I usually give a player that does not answer a "6" or "7" at the Steps. If they get an answer wrong, I will deduct for them. But I have never given any player a "1" on the Steps so far. The lowest one I gave was to Ashlie from "The Bonnet of Dolley Madison", where I gave him a "3" because she got 3 answers wrong. But she still got one correct though, so its not like she was totally a wash out there. The only one I would probably give a "1" to is for that Silver Snake boy in "The Trojan Horseshoe". Seriously, that kid was terrible and he almost blew it for his team. But then again, that whole steps round was pitiful.

I don't know, maybe THK had a reasoning behind giving some of these contestants a low score. But to me, it just makes the contestants look worse than what they really were. Contestants like Jackie, Chris from "The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson", and Damian all got low scores for no reason at the Steps.

Its been a while since I have done rankings, but here are my rankings for the "Hans Holbein" production day.

THE DISCARDED SEAL OF IVAN THE TERRIBLE

Elisa
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 8.5
Team Game: 8.5
Temple Run: 9
Overall: 8.5

Travis
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 8.5
Team Game: 8.5
Temple Run: 9
Overall: 8.1

Ashley
Moat: 8.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 6.5
Team Game: 7
Overall: 7.63

Jimmy
Moat: 8.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 6.5
Overall: 7.5

NOTES:
I loved this episode, Elisa's enthusiasm makes it a very fun episode to watch. Plus, both teams were competitive even though the Green Monkeys swept the temple games.

Travis and Elisa sort of struggled in the earlier rounds, but they shined in the temple games and temple run. The Orange Iguanas were good too, but Travis and Elisa were the better team in the end. Travis in general did exceptionally well in his individual game.

We all know the story behind the temple run. Travis and Elisa were amazing in the temple, and they really didn't do a single thing wrong. Travis was fast, made it back to the platform, tried all available shortcuts, and still made it to the Shrine with a minute remaining. Elisa races to where Travis was taken out and assembles the monkey. Unfortunately, she caught an unlucky break in the Ancient Warriors where the first suit of armor was the one that unlocked the door, and that was the one she passed! Had she chose that one first, then I think they would've reached the Seal at least.

Looking at the rankings for Travis and Elisa, its such a tragedy that such an amazing team loss. The producers should feel ashamed for making a layout that was not winnable for any team. They truly are the best losing team in the temple.

THE MYSTERIOUS MANUSCRIPT OF MARY SHELLEY

Kate
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: 4.5
Overall: 7.3

Larry
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: 2
Overall: 6.3

Ashlie
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 7.5
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 6
Overall: 6.63

Clyde
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 5.5
Overall: 6.63

NOTES:
We have another enthusiastic girl that makes it to the temple, but this time around it seems staged. Although I have to admit that some of Kate's antics made me smile.

But really, I don't have much to say about this episode. The Blue Barracudas were pretty dominant up until the temple run. They finished second in the moat and swept the Steps of Knowledge. The Silver Snakes felt more like an average team to me and were nothing special at all.

Even in the temple games, the Blue Barracudas were the better team. In the first temple game, it ended in a tie. But I gave Kate a slightly higher score because I felt she put in a better effort. And what is with Kirk in this temple game? He was making bad literary puns right and left. The second temple game was very close and almost ended in a tie as well, but Clyde fell off a couple of times towards the end and allowed Larry to edge out. The Silver Snakes looked mediocre in the team temple games though and the Silver Snake boy kept missing rings around Franky's head while the Blue Barracudas had good accuracy. And was Kirk high during this temple game? He kept calling Larry a "She"...

And after a relatively strong pre-temple round performance, the Blue Barracudas blew their load during the temple run. Kate was really not that great and she moved slow and hesitated in a lot of rooms. She only made it to the Shrine with a little over a minute left. Larry fails though for not making any progress after Kate is taken out. Nobodu butchered the monkey like Larry did and he didn't even have any of the three parts in the right direction. Plus, he ran like a retard in the temple.

Overall, this was a good episode until the temple run. The Blue Barracudas should've done better and made it farther though.

THE DRIED APPLE HALF OF WILLIAM TELL

Brett
Moat: 5.5
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 9
Team Game: 6.5
Temple Run: 4
Overall: 6.4

Lauren
Moat: 5.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 6
Temple Run: 1
Overall: 5.7

Desiree
Moat: 3
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 3
Overall: 5.0

Chris
Moat: 4.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 4
Team Game: 4
Overall: 5.13

NOTES:
Another episode with a loud girl. But this time around, this girl sucked and was annoying plus obnoxious.

Unlike the previous episodes, the moat for this episode sucked. The kids in this moat were really having trouble, and both Green and Silver were third and fourth respectively in the moat. The Green Monkeys fell in once due to Lauren's incompetency and the Silver Snake girl was even worse! She fell in twice at least and almost fell in a third time. What a pathetic performance.

The Silver Snakes kind of redeemed themselves in the Steps with a near sweep of it. The Green Monkeys almost lost to the Jaguars, but they made it due to a lucky guess by Lauren.

Nothing special about the temple games either. They were the same temple games as "Mary Shelley". The first one ended in a tie like the previous episode. Once again, I gave Lauren a slightly better score since she was ahead more. I have to admit that Brett impressed me very much in his temple game. He moved fast on the wheel and at the same time was able to stay on and only fell off at the end once. The Silver Snake Boy was also trying to move fast too. Except unlike Brett, he kept falling off and Brett clobbered this kid,

And WTF Silver Snakes in the final temple game? The Silver Snake girl had trouble throwing the hat up to her partner. And her partner had terrible aim when throwing it on the pole also. Lauren also kind of struggled when she was throwing a hat up to Brett and Brett did have some bad aiming too, but the team still landed two hats. How pathetic.

And oh God, the temple run was one of the first runs of the entire season. The temple layout was downright brutal and no way these kids would've won. However, these two sucked from the start anyways. Brett was okay, but he moved slow in the temple and struggled to complete the central shaft. And word of advice Lauren: STFU! She didn't even make any effort when it was her turn in the temple. She only made it to the King's Storeroom and had 57 SECONDS to herself. The layout was a bitch, but the "Belle Boyd" team had a similar layout and they made it really far. These two failed miserably.

Overall, this episode sucked and both teams were pretty mediocre. Looking at the rankings for the Silver Snakes makes me wonder how this team even made it to the temple games.

THE MISSING PORTRAIT OF HANS HOLBEIN

Rachel
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 6.5
Individual Game: 6.5
Team Game: 7.5
Temple Run: 5
Overall: 6.6

Keith
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: 5.5
Overall: 7.3

Danielle
Moat: 5.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 3
Team Game: 5
Overall: 5.63

James
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 3
Team Game: 6
Overall: 5.5

NOTES:
This episode was MUCH better than "William Tell". The Purple Parrots barely scraped by in the moat, but it was good enough for them to go to the temple games. But the Purple Parrot girl did a great job in the Steps, so they sort of redeemed themslves here. The Blue Barracudas were very close to not going to the temple games either, but they barely beat the Jaguars to that last question.

And is it me or does that Purple Parrot boy look like Chandra from "Annie Oakley" brother?

The temple games featured another temple game sweep. The Purple Parrots looked like they were not match for the Barracudas. The Purple Parrot girl looked pathetic in her temple game. She could not get her giant wheel pass the middle ramp after destroying her first painting. Keith kind of struggled early on, but he beat his game relatively quickly. The Purple Parrot boy looked pathetic in the second temple game also where he only got one body part up while Rachel got four of them up. It looked more like though that the two contestants were just jumping around the entire time. But Rachel did do a more decent job too. As for the final temple game, the Purple Parrots performed well, but Keith did an awesome job when it came to catching the boulders and knocking down his soldiers. This Blue Barracuda team was not match for the Purple Parrots.

This temple run featured ANOTHER impossible layout. However, the Blue Barracudas could've made it further if they didn't make so many mistakes. Rachel did not try all three books in the Crypt, so she was forced down into the Ledges. Plus, she moved a little slow on top of that. Keith was not much faster either, but he made some progress at least. Its not like this team would've won anyways, but they would've made it to the Jester's Court if they weren't such slowpokes.

Overall, it was a slightly above average episode with a disappointing temple run ending where the team loses due to the producer's high expectations.

FINAL NOTE:
Every team in this production day won two pendants in the temple games. The temple layouts were pretty much a bitch for each of these also. I wonder what the producers were thinking? The only episode I really liked was "Ivan the Terrible" and "Mary Shelley" for the earlier rounds. Aside from "Ivan the Terrible", most of the temple runs were average or mediocre. I thought the "Hans Holbein" team put a decent effort in the temple at least. But really, the only episode you should watch for this day is "Ivan the Terrible".

The Discarded Seal filming day. The one with all the bitchy layouts. Anyways, my thoughts:

Nothing more needs to be said about the Discarded season episode. Great episode, great players, and Travis and Elisa were robbed, enough said. Plus, notice how all three games ended before time was up? That's amazing.

Mysterious Manuscript was an.... okay episode. The Silver Snakes were nothing special and the Blue Barracudas dominated nearly every round until the temple run. For someone who was soooo enthusiastic, Kate was way too slow and hesitant in the temple. I guess just because you're so excited about being on the show doesn't mean you're a great player. And don't even get me started on Larry. Also, notice how Jennifer from "Tussaud" is the Orange Iguana who lost at the moat in that episode? I can imagine Kate and Jennifer being stuck in the same room together.

Dried Apple Half was a terrible episode. Poor performance by almost ALL the teams in the moat, mediocre steps round, unexciting temple games match, and a pathetic temple run. Brett was pretty slow, but he did okay. Lauren's performance in the temple was just sad. I think TMH put it perfectly on his website. If you run your mouth all temple run, but waste a MINUTE just getting to the King's Storeroom, you don't belong on the show. She definitely "fails as a human being" indeed. Just pathetic players and pathetic teams all around.

And Hans Holbein was an average episode. Not much else to say about this one other than it was yet another impossible layout. Rachel moved pretty slow, it took her a minute to even enter the first room after leaving the Pit. Keith was faster, but it was clear there was no hope for victory for this team. I don't think they would have gotten past the Jesters' Court even if they moved faster.

Also, one thing I find interesting is that not only was "Mysterious Manuscript" and "Dried Apple Half" on the same day, but both teams won the temple games 2-0.5 AND beat out the Silver Snakes. Plus, they had all three temple games in common. When it comes to "Discarded Seal" and "Hans Holbein," they outright swept the temple games. So the teams either swept the temple games or won 2-0.5. And regarding James, (the male Purple Parrot from "Hans Holbein"), I thought Denise (the female Silver Snake from "Dried Apple Half") looked more like Chandra than James did. Same facial expressions, same hair, only Denise had shorter hair. Overall, great rankings all around. Which filming day do you think you're gonna do next?

I agree about the "William Tell" episode being terrible. Easily one of the bottom 5 episodes for season three. That was an uneventful episode with pretty piss poor teams. And TMH perfectly sums up the temple run also. Who takes a minute to get to where there partner leaves off anyways? Not even Kerry from the "Spanish King" temple run was that slow and terrible. And she didn't even make it into the King's Storeroom either. I also like how TMH mentions Brett having herpes too.

And yeah, I agree that the "Hans Holbein" team would've made it into the Jester's Court or even the Tomb if they put their butts into gear. I thought Keith was kind of slow and hesitant myself. But Rachel did waste a lot of time in the beginning. But still, that layout was impossible.

And I never noticed the similarities between "Mary Shelley" and "William Tell". I think I need to make an update to the episode similarities thread for both Ivan the Terrible/Hans Holbein and Mary Shelley/William Tell comparisons. And I don't even want to imagine Jennifer and Kate in the same room, they would duke it out for the most feisty girl. Unless you were trying to suggest something sexual was going to happen between them... ;)

And for my next set, I want to go back to season two for a little bit. I want to do "The Milk Bucket of Freydis" production day next. I guess that includes "Henry Morgan" with a strong Silver Snake team and another exciting temple loss, "Freydis" for Purple Parrots dominance and Tarrah's exciting temple run, "Golden Pepperoni" for another competitive episode with an infamous ending and terrible legend, and finally "Nathan Hale" with an awkward early format and piss poor temple run.

At least "Freydis" and "Henry Morgan" are great and exciting episodes, so I know this will be a good set of episodes. "Golden Pepperoni" is decent also for some rounds, but "Nathan Hale" is NOT a good episode.

I can't believe I forgot about the Brett having herpes bit on TMH's site. But seriously, what was with his upper lip there? And no, I did not mean anything sexual went on between Jennifer from "Tussaud" and Kate. My mind isn't THAT far into the gutters. XD And Nathan Hale wasn't on the Freydis filming day, besides the temple run being in S2, L5. The only other episode on the Freydis filming day is your personal favorite, Missing Weather Maps. I can't wait until you rank the infamous Kim. ;)

Okay good, I don't want to imagine what the room would sound like if Kate and Jennifer were doing something sexual. :o

And as for the Brett part, I always thought his lip was swollen from maybe something happening in an earlier round where he might've busted his lip. Either that or acne, which I am surprised more Legends contestants didn't have any. And I don't even wanna know how a 12-14 year old got Herpes in the first place if that is the case.  :o

Oh wait, I read nicklegend's site wrong. He has the entire "Nathan Hale" episode listed under S2L5, but he probably did that because he separates his episodes by temple layout rather than episode number. I noticed he did the same thing "Belshazzar" too. I should've known better though anyways on account that "Nathan Hale" was early on in season two.

But still, "Charles Lindbergh" is still a lousy episode and I can't force myself to watch that temple run. It really is that painful to watch Kim piss it away. But then again, the Jaguars did sweep the temple games in that episode I believe. So it will be interesting to see Kim's ranking. :o

And oh yeah, "Charles Lindbergh" is NOT a personal favorite of mine. ;) If anything, that is one of my least favorite Red Jaguar episodes after the other infamous ones ("Alhambra", "Blackbeard's Treasure Map", and "Frederick Douglass"). Maybe I will do your personal favorite Purple Parrot episodes "The Lost Lion Tail of Little John" and "Sultan Suleiman" after these sets. :mrpurple:

As much as Kim basically makes Missing Weathermaps hard to watch, let's not forget that Nick was pretty good.

Maybe I will do your personal favorite Purple Parrot episodes "The Lost Lion Tail of Little John" and "Sultan Suleiman" after these sets. :mrpurple:

And as luck would have it, they were filmed on the same day, along with "The Jeweled Necklace of Montezuma" and "The Plumed Headdress of Cosa Rara".

Its been a long time since I have done rankings, so I finished mine for the first production day of S2L5. Most of these episodes were great, but I think we know which one was the odd man out. ;)

THE GOLDEN PEPPERONI OF CATHARINE DE' MEDICI

Aqila
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 6.5
Temple Run: 4.5
Overall: 6.4

Chris
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 7.5
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 7.3

Tara
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 6.5
Overall: 7.5

Michael
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 7.5
Individual Game: 6.5
Team Game: 6
Overall: 7.00

NOTES:
People think this episode is bad because of the temple run. But the whole episode itself was enjoyable, at least in my opinion anyways.

This whole episode was Green-Purple until the end. Both teams were first in the and second in the moat respectively and they answered almost all the questions in the Steps. Oh yeah, the Orange Iguanas sucked at the Steps and got three wrong answers. Plus, that boy looked like a girl

The temple games were very close in this episode. Aqila and Tara tied their temple games, but Aqila got hit by one of the swinging columns so I had to give her a lower point. Chris got the raw deal in his temple game. He clearly got all four pieces of Merlin into his bucket first, but two of them fell out when he put them in. Yet, the spotters made him pick them up in order for them to count. The Green Monkey boy kind of struggled to climb up his pole. He only won because Chris dropped a couple pieces of his Merlin.

The last temple game was very close and Chris got the third crown on during the last two seconds of the temple game. Good job that he did, or else the Green Monkeys would've went to the temple with 2-1.5 pendants. Although I still think Chris should've won his temple game.

And we all know the story of the temple run. Chris didn't last long, but it easy to tell that he knew what he was doing and he was fast for sure. So I gave him about a slightly above average score. Aqila was kind of slow though and she took her time in some rooms. And of course, at the end of the run she misses the Golden Pepperoni and runs into the Mine Shaft elevator. Other than that, she did find the half-pendant and still made it to the room of the artifact. So its not like she was completely clueless as a certain contestant that you will see later in these rankings...

Overall, it was a competitive episode that was good until the temple run. Even then, the temple run still ended in memorable fashion. It was obvious that Chris was the better Purple Parrot here.

THE MILK BUCKET OF FREYDIS

Tarrah
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: 8.25
Overall: 7.75

Chris
Moat: 6.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9.5
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: N/A
Overall: 7.88

Jennifer
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 2
Team Game: 6
Overall: 5.25

Joshua
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 6.5
Team Game: 6
Overall: 7.00

NOTES:
Another Purple Parrot episode! But this time, this Purple Parrot team was much more competent then the last one.

Tarrah did great in the moat. At first I thought that Chris was the one that crossed first, but it was Tarrah that went across first. And given her short stature, she did the best job out of all four contestants.

Poor Chris in his individual temple game. He was so tall that most of the time he had to lay flat to avoid the swinging obstacles. One of his horns also fell of the statue, but lucky Kirk counted it and the temple game ended in a tie.

Oh wow, that Silver Snake girl was AWFUL in her temple game. She kept touching the ground while climbing up the horse and had to start over. And she didn't do this not once, but during the whole temple game! She also ell down a couple of times trying to climb up. Tarrah was a little slow climbing up, but she never touched the ground once, so I gave her a small point boost for that. Also, Kirk was very annoying in this temple game.

The team temple game was quick, so I don't think I need to say much here about it

Some people might think Tarrah's temple score it too high, but I think she did a good job considering the circumstances she went through. I mean she had to complete seven rooms on her own on the way to the artifact, plus her short stature gave her some trouble in some rooms like the Jester's Court. But she wasn't entirely slow like Jennifer from "Buddha" was. And I have to give her credits for bringing back that huge artifact to the temple gates after taking a nasty hit in the Pit. She was a real trooper in the run and it was a well-deserved solo win. She did just fine with her layout and not every contestant has to be a Gator or Zac to be good.

Overall, great episode and easily the best episode during this production day. Did anyone else notice that during the team temple game, they had to place a "stone marker" on the platform? And one of the earlier episodes of Legends was "The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson". And Leif Erickson was suppose to be related to Freydis. I wonder if the producers made this reference intentional? Would've been awesome if they actually used the real Stone Marker from the "Stone Marker" episode. :mrred:

THE GOLDEN EARRING OF HENRY MORGAN

Ashley
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 8.5
Team Game: 7.5
Temple Run: 7
Overall: 7.8

Shem
Moat: 6.5

Tiebreaker: +1
Temple Run: 9
Overall: 8.2

Shannon

Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 4
Team Game: 8
Overall: 6.88

Raymond
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 9
Team Game: 7.5
Overall: 8.13

NOTES:
Another good episode! Rewatching this episode brings back memories on why I love this episode. Shem and Ashley were a very exciting team to watch in the episode, and Shem was a funny guy too like when he rubbed Kirk's head during the tiebreaker win. :P

Nothing to say much about this episode, the numbers can do most of the talking. Ashley and Shem were very good in the first two rounds, and the Orange Iguanas were strong also.

I swear if I see that swinging obstacle temple game again I am going to cry! But Ashley did the best job so far at this temple game, and almost brought back all pieces of her map. Was the Orange Iguana girl mentally challenged though? I mean really, she delayed at the beginning of the temple game and she made no effort to dodge the swinging obstacles.

The second temle game was very close and both male contestants were great. I gave them both good scores because they both put up a good effort collecting the bags of gold. Of course, Shem won in the end due to his load being heavier.

The last temple game was also close. It looked like the game could've almost ended in a tie! The main problem for the Silver Snakes was that it looked like their buggy stalled while turning it around. Otherwise, I think they would've tied it or even won. But at least they got the tiebreaker correct and went to the temple because at the end of the day I thought they were a better team.

The temple run was a very exciting loss despite the ending. Ashley was fast, but she made a very critical mistake of not using the key in the Dark Forest when she found it. She could've had a solo win if they had done so. Shem was also very fast, but he did miss the Room of the Mandarin Hand door from the King's Storeroom. But the team was still excited to even reach the artifact, so it was good enough for me. :mrsilver:

Overall, this episode was a classic and it was my second favorite of this set.

THE MISSING WEATHER MAPS OF CHARLES LINDBERGH

Kim

Team Game: 6
Overall: 6.75

David
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 7
Overall: 7.25

NOTES:
After three good episodes, we get this abomination of an episode. Well, it was an okay episode up until the temple run but pretty uneventful though.

I have to give Red Jaguars Kim credit for the temple games. She got two answers correct without Olmec revealing all three choices. Also, I noticed one of Kirk's quotes were "Suddenly, the Jaguars are one step away from the temple guards" during the temple games.

Not much to say about the temple games, the Jaguars swept them. Jaguars Kim did great in her temple game and destroy the other Kim 15-9. Nick also won his temple game, although the Orange Iguana boy was pretty competitive also.

Temple run... don't even get me started on this one. Nick was great in the temple! He wasted a little time at the beginning of the run due to encountering a deadend, but he really hauled ass after the Crypt. He made it TWO rooms away from the Dark Forest with about two minutes left. One would think that this would be enough time for Kim to reach the artifact and bring it out, right? Wrong, this girl was a lost cause. She wasted time looking clueless in rooms with completed objectives and kept backtracking to unentered rooms like the Observatory. She was also slow as hell and even when she completes the Shrine of the Silver Monkey... SHE RUNS PAST THE DARK FOREST! This would've been a Dark Forest win if Kim was not so awful.

Looking at the Red Jaguars rankings, there is no reason why this team shouldn't have won. What happened to Kim? She was doing great before the temple, but she really blew her load once she got there. This would've been a legendary victory had she got her act together.

What a coincidence that I was just thinking about this thread and if you were gonna do another set sometime soon. And sure enough, you end up doing another set. Anyways, my thoughts on all the rankings:

The Golden Pepperoni episode is actually really good. You're totally right about the Purple Parrots and the Green Monkeys being neck and neck the entire episode. They were one and two in the moat, nearly double swept the steps, with the Parrots winning a close match of 1.5-1. The temple run is sort of disappointing, but still very memorable nonetheless. I didn't think Aqila was THAT bad, but she did move too slowly, and we all know what happened at the end. Chris definitely should have gone in second though. He was pretty fast in the short time he was in the temple.

By the way, you sort of got the production order wrong. Henry Morgan was second, and Freydis was third. ;) Speaking of the former....

Henry Morgan is an excellent episode, even though Nick Gas overplayed this one during that 20 episode cycle. Not much else to say about this episode except Ashley and Shem were a pretty strong team, and Raymond wasn't half bad either. Shannon sort of sucked, and she definitely brought the team down. And you're right about the "swinging obstacle" game being way overused on this production day. Fun game, but lets switch up the variety once in a while, production crew. The temple run was great. Ashley did well despite her not taking shortcuts, and Shem was fast. And great enthusiasm at the end too.

Freydis is another awesome episode. It featured yet another almost double sweep on the steps, and Parrots were especially smart. And I agree about the female Silver Snake in her temple game. She was just PATHETIC. Seriously, I lost count on how many times she touched the ground and had to start over. It's a miracle she even got one bell up, if that. Tarrah did lightyears better than her, and she's shorter too. As for the temple run, solid performance. Now, I get that this is like an exact replica of the "Buddha" temple run, but this one was more exciting. For many reasons.... Tarrah had more objectives, rarely hesitated, and not to mention her run had a memorable ending. From jumping across the pit and breaking the bucket, to finishing off with a nail biter with one second left. No wonder she was so exhausted after her run was over. I love this episode, her solo win was definitely deserved.

And finally.... we get an atrocity of an episode after three very exciting episodes. The Missing Weather Maps. I've only seen the full episode of this once, and I don't plan on watching it again anytime soon. Skipping to the temple run, Nick was great, but Kim was pathetic. yet another episode that should have been reverse order of players. My guess is if Kim had went in first, she'd probably make it to the King's Storeroom with about 1:30 on the clock. And Nick would have raced in, reached the artifact, and possibly escaped with a close finish? Either way, there's no excuse why this team shouldn't have won. They could have made Legends history by reaching the artifact in the Dark Forest for the first time ever. But instead, Kim blew it, big time. -_-

Like always, great rankings. Maybe you should do the "Annie Taylor" or "Ahmed Baba" filming day next. But, it's up to you of course.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it as always. ;)

"Golden Pepperoni" was always a good episode to me, even when Nick GaS showed it all the time. It had some close and competitive rounds and had a good set of temple games also. And I agree, I never thought of Aqila as a terrible player. I mean she was an idiot for passing up the Pepperoni, but she was fine before entering the Room of the Secret Password. She grabs the half-pendant and completes a few objectives on her own. There are far worse contestants than her, one of whom I am about to talk about in a minute. Although "The Great Linguini" deserves a mention here for being a ridiculously stupid name.

I never realized I got the episode order mixed up too. When I was watching the episodes on Youtube, I searched them with the "Suggested Video" bar. So "Freydis" was the video that popped up first, so I assumed that was the next one. At least it was the same production day though. :mrpurple:

And I for one don't understand the comparisons between the "Freydis" and "Buddha" temple run either. I mean they both had the same path and both of them went the wrong way in the temple, but "Freydis" was more exciting than "Buddha". No offense to that temple run, but I would take Freydis any day over it.

And yeah, don't try watching the "Charles Lindbergh" temple run anytime soon. That episode was pretty uneventful even though the Red Jaguars were strong prior to the temple. And there was no way this team probably would've won period in the temple due to Kim. Had she went in first, she probably would've used up too much time. But then again, there would be no cleared out rooms for her, so maybe she wouldn't have been too stupid? In any case, if she was taken out in the King's Storeroom with 1:30 on the clock Nick would've won it for sure. Still an unexciting episode though.

And I like your suggestions for the next set. I think I will go with "Annie Taylor" production day because I need one that has a good set of episodes.

Atocha/Emiliano Zapata/Benjamin Franklin/Annie Taylor... now that is a great production day. We all know which episode was a sore thumb that day, but I still think "Benjamin Franklin" was an exciting episode nevertheless. :mrblue:

I am not really a fan of the "Ahmed Baba" episodes. "Ahmed Baba" is boring and I never cared for that episode, "Iron Nose Ring" was okay also but I definitely don't care for the temple run, "Ivory Elephant" is just forgettable, and don't get me started on "Sultan Suleiman".

Sultan Suleiman wasn't on Tall Turban's filming day. The Missing Eye was on that day. It goes Missing Eye/Iron Nose Ring/Ahmed Baba/Ivory Elephant. Then the following filming day is Sultan Suleiman/Cosa Rara/Montezeuma/Lost Lion Tail. Just for a future reference in case you do end up ranking those filming days. ;)

This seriously needs to be started up again. And I'm gonna do the "Applewood Amulet" filming day:

THE LUCKY MEDALLION OF ATOCHA

Ty:
Moat: 9
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 10
Team Game: 8
Tiebreaker: +1
Temple Run: 8
Overall: 8.65

Jennifer:
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 6
Temple Run: N/A
Overall: 7.25

Erica:
Moat: 5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 5
Team Game: 7
Overall: 6.5

Chad:
Moat: 5
Steps of Knowledge: 5
Individual Game: 4
Team Game: 7
Overall: 5.25

NOTES
This episode was great. The only round I truly thought was less than impressive was the moat. It was so long that the mist disappeared just before the 4th team rang in. Ty was a beast in the moat, and Jennifer did a good job as well. The Red Jaguars sucked though, and took forever crossing. The Green Monkeys also sucked, but they got one player across at the end. The Silver Snakes were ABYSMAL during the moat. They couldn't even get one person across. I'm glad they didn't advance.

The Steps of Knowledge were a pretty average round. Erica was a beast on the Steps, as was Jennifer. The temple games were very exciting. Ty OWNED his temple game. He only needed 20 seconds or so to climb that wall, and taking the middle road did wonders for him. Chad sucked, and it looked like he didn't want to be on the show. He looked down and sad the entire time. In the second temple game, Erica got a low score because she fell off the horse pretty quickly. Not as bad as the female Green Monkey from "Cracked Crown," but still pretty subpar. The third temple game was so close. Jennifer kept dropping her bags, so that's why her score was a little lower than the rest. In the end, the Red Jaguars came from behind and tied the game up. But, Ty rang in correctly with the tiebreaker so the Orange Iguanas still went to the temple.

And the temple run was solid. Even after Ty dropped his pendant, he recovered quickly and blazed through the whole temple. The only points I took off was Ty doing the Viper's Nest objective when he didn't have to. But that does not derail from his progress so it wasn't too distracting. He grabs the Lucky Medallion was under a minute left on the clock, and escaped with 8 seconds to spare. I love Jennifer's enthusiasm throughout the run and she was very supportive of Ty from the sidelines. Also, regarding the pendant dropping, Jennifer DID NOT throw it back to Ty. It was a camera guy. Not only was the hand not gloved, but if you look carefully at the 2:31 mark of the temple run, you can clearly see a camera guy exiting the Pit of Despair. I realize the pendant was thrown back in the Ledges and not the Pit, but I assume the camera guy was standing in nearly the same spot. So it had to be a camera guy. Other than that, great solo win! It's literally the only male solo victory I'm impressed with.

THE APPLEWOOD AMULET OF EMILIANO ZAPATA

Robert:
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 7
Temple Run: 7
Overall: 7

Olivia-Emma:
Moat: 10
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 8
Tiebreaker: +1
Temple Run: 8
Overall: 8.85

Simone:
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 8
Overall: 7.5

Jason:
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 7
Overall: 6.75

NOTES:
Another excellent episode! This moat seemed to take a long time too. The mist was completely gone when the camera panned over to the Purple Parrots after the moat. And yes, those Blue Barracudas who "broke" the gong were Janet and Chris from "The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl." For the Steps of Knowledge, the Silver Snakes naturally take the Blue Barracudas place. And they do answer at least two questions correctly. I don't understand why people say "they didn't even answer one question."

The temple games were VERY close and neck and neck. But really, the Purple Parrots and the Green Monkeys were neck and neck all episode. They were 1 and 2 in the moat, very smart on the Steps of Knowledge, and tied the temple games with 1.5 pendants. Speaking of which, the third temple game was just impressive. NONE of the four players fell off the horse. Though Robert was starting to falter a little at the end. I also love how when the game is over, Kirk sounds like he's saying "Oh shit, he's tired!" XD In the end, Olivia-Emma gets the tiebreaker right and they go to the temple! Recording yet another tiebreaker loss for the Purple Parrots. :( I wouldn't change the results for anything though, I just wish both teams would've gone to the temple.

And the temple run was great. Their layout wasn't particularly hard, but the rooms were the hardest the show had to offer at the time. Robert goes in and he does a decent job. He gets removed by two consecutive temple guards in Medusa's Lair and the King's Storeroom, and Olivia-Emma takes over. She passes up the half pendant, but it doesn't affect the outcome, and I assume temple guard was in the Crypt. She gets to the Viper's Nest, has trouble finding the Amulet, but she grabs it and blazes out of the temple. The ending was such a nailbiter, she wins with literally one second left on the clock. Recording by far the closest finish in the show's history. Both Robert and Olivia Emma were so excited, and so was Kirk. Solid.

THE ELECTRIFIED KEY OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

Peter:
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 7
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 6.6

Michelle:
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 6
Tiebreaker: +1
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 7.1

Ronnie:
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 5
Team Game: 6
Tiebreaker: -1
Overall: 6.3

Margaret:
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 7
Overall: 6.5

NOTES:
This episode was okay. It's clearly the weakest link out of the other three episodes though. The moat was decent, not as long as the other two. The Green Monkeys were pretty fast crossing it, the Blue Barracudas did decently. They did finish last though. The Steps of Knowledge annoyed me. It seemed like EVERY team (minus the Blue Barracudas) were answering in too early. The Green Monkeys were the worst for it, especially with the last question they got right. Even Kirk had to tell them "you might want to hear all the answers before you come up with your own."

The temple games were pretty competitive. Michelle and Margaret were pretty neck and neck all game. Ronnie sucked in his game though. He hardly got off the ground before Peter flew down on the above kite. The third game, not much else to say except the Green Monkeys came from behind and tied the game up. Of course, we all know what happened at the tiebreaker. "AMBASSADOR! AMBASSADOR! AMBASSADOR!" I just love how Ronnie hangs his head in shame when he gets the question wrong. And he does it when the Blue Barracudas steal the answer and win. Margaret looks equally as embarrassed. I also love how Kirk says "We got a good shot of that, didn't we?" when it's just the Blue Barracudas in shot. Kind of like how he's rubbing it in to the Green Monkeys that they lost. That's what you get for ringing in too early and trying too hard to make a comeback.

The temple run was sort of disappointing. Could've been a legendary solo win if Peter didn't set foot in Medusa's Lair. And he should know that the Pit/Throne Room door is a little too obvious. -_- Michelle did well, she almost pulled a "Harriet Tubman" but thankfully changed her mind at the last second. Good thing, since I'm pretty sure the third temple guard was in the Crypt. And it would've been another "Golden Ship" esque time if she had actually gone in there. Michelle smartly avoids Medusa's Lair, but when she's done assembling the monkey, she doesn't take the Shrine/Forest passage. Which would've saved some time. She gets to the Swamp, where just as she opens the Throne Room door, time runs out. I definitely blame Peter for this loss more than I do Michelle. It could've been a legendary bottom central shaft win (and a 4 on 4 day) if he didn't take the direct path.

THE LUCKY PILLOW OF ANNIE TAYLOR

Missy:
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: N/A (She had the squirting/luck based game, so I can't really score that)
Team Game: 7
Temple Run: 8
Overall: 7.5

John:
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 5
Team Game: 7
Tiebreaker: +1
Temple Run: N/A
Overall: 7

Stuart:
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: N/A (Again, he had the squirting game, so I can't score it)
Team Game: 6
Overall: 6.7

Jamea:
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Game: 7
Team Game: 7
Overall: 6.5

NOTES
This episode was just phenomenal from start to finish. The Blue Barracudas got across pretty quickly, the Purple Parrots took some time getting across though. The Silver Snakes on the other hand, were just terrible in the moat. They didn't even get their first person across before the round was over. The Steps of Knowledge were over in 7 questions due to a near double sweep between the Purple Parrots and the Blue Barracudas.

The temple games were very exciting, and I loved the temple game sequence used here. John struggled in his temple game, so his score is pretty low. The squirting game Missy didn't wasn't scored because that's a luck based game. I love how she kept on getting squirted though. In the third temple game, the Blue Barracudas came from behind and won the game fair and square. And we all know about this tiebreaker as well. The infamous boob grab seen around the world. Of course, this means the Purple Parrots choke at the tiebreaker AGAIN. But just like with the Applewood Amulet episode, I wish both teams would've gone to the temple.

If I had to pick a best temple run of all time, it would be this one. This or Lost Hornpipe, it's hard to choose. Missy was flawless, I know giving her a 7 for the temple run might be too low, but I figured it was suitable. Her layout wasn't exactly hard, but she didn't just luck into it. She made it easy for herself. Taking the Forest/Shrine passage really paid off, and it showed here. I assume the other two temple guards were in the Crypt and the Mine Shaft. Either way, she knew exactly what to do in every room and she even grabbed the Lucky Pillow with 42 seconds to go. The audience was going nuts, John was extremely supportive on the sidelines, and Missy finally escapes with 21 seconds left on the clock. Everyone was so excited, especially Missy. So was such a nervous wreck throughout the show. Their trip to the Bahamas so VERY well earned. Excellent temple run, she deserved it.

One thing I'd like to note is that, I don't understand the hate for Missy at all. So what if her layout wasn't hard, so what if she wasn't Jarrid or Gator fast. One of my biggest pet peeves is that people seem to think that you need to be fast in order to deserve the win. I don't understand how  Missy is considered a bad player just because she was slower than other players. That doesn't mean it was a terrible temple run and she didn't deserve it. Plus, I hate how people give Missy a hard time also because "she tried for a direct path." I mean yes, Peter got flak for trying that same thing. But he kept on trying it throughout his whole run. Missy just did it once. I think people just like to pick a reason to not like this run just for the sake of hating a temple run that everyone else loves. I mean, Paula gets a cakewalk temple layout and she gets a free pass for it. Just because "she was fast." But when Missy tries for a direct path and moves slower, she's automatically a bad player?

Overall, this was an excellent filming day and besides Electrified Key, all the temple runs were solid. Also, I ranked Applewood Amulet and Lucky Pillow from memory, since I've seen those episodes numerous times. So if my rankings are inaccurate, feel free to let me know. ;)

I get to comment on one of your rankings for once and not the other way around. :P You picked a great day though as I love all of those episodes, even Benjamin Franklin. ;)

ATOCHA:
Atocha was the second best episode that day IMO. The moat was kind of long for this episode, but everything else was great.  Ty and Jennifer were a great team, but the rankings show that Ty was the stronger player. I think that is how my rankings for him turned out IIRC. I do remember the individual temple game performance by Ty being dominating. Jennifer was also pretty good at her temple game. They were so close to a temple game sweep also. Luckily, they won their tiebreaker though and went to the temple.

And I probably would've given Ty a 9 in the temple. Pendant dropping aside, he was great and he is a perfect example of why you should never take the direct path. He could've even had a no temple guard run had he started in the Crypt. I don't hold the Pendant drop against him, it was probably an honest mistake. I am not sure why he completed the Viper's Nest though. Although I remember deducing him for that too in my rankings. Overall, he kicked ass and was one of the best males on the show. And Jennifer definitely didn't throw the Pendant back to him either. That was some lame editing by the producers. Wasn't this part dubbed over? :o

EMILIANO ZAPATA:
This was my third favorite episode that day. Just like Atocha, it was Olivia-Emma that carried this team more. I think she ranked in the same range in my old rankings too. She kicked ass in the moat and pretty much did all the work in her episode. And yes, the Blue Barracudas in this episode did get replaced because the Silver Snakes were sent back by accident. We will see them again later in the "Polynesian Girl" episode, and it was probably a better experience for them in that episode.

I do remember how strong all four players were in the horse spinning game. Maybe the Green Monkey girl from "Cracked Crown" should've taken notes. In the end, we had another tiebreaker with Olivia-Emma answering it correctly. The temple run was very exciting and the team did fine even with an easy layout. Well, it wasn't as easy as people make it out to be. They had to enter the toughest room that S1L2 had to offer. Olivia-Emma was the star of this run though and she used every second to her advantage. She hauled ass to get out of the temple and this is how some players like Jason (Icarus) and Angela SHOULD'VE exited the temple instead of running all over it. Missing the half-pendant could've been fatal, but it didn't matter in the end because she still pulled a victory off. I guess that experience on "Get the Picture" paid off for her.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN:
This episode is the odd man out compared to the other three, but I still enjoyed it very much. Judging from your rankings, it seems like the Green Monkeys were still a competitive team besides the screw job they did. The Blue Barracudas barely made it across the moat in time. It kind of reminds me of the Barracudas in "The Silk Sash of Mulan". The Steps of Knowledge had the annoying Green Monkey boy answering early. Luckily, the Blue Barracudas were strong here and finished first. The Green Monkeys finished not to far behind.

The temple games had the giant Pendant spinning one in which Michelle won and Peter did good in his game. For some reason, I always thought that Peter and Michelle only won their team game. I am not sure why I thought that though. But they did lose the team game instead though. The tiebreaker is probably one of the biggest fails on the show. The Green Monkey boy didn't even answer one of the three choices of the tiebreaker. Michelle did the right thing and wait until Olmec finished reading her the choices. They got it right and went to the temple. They deserved it over that Green Monkey choke job.

The temple run was pretty exciting IMO. I am not sure why some people hate it. Peter's biggest mistake was beelining for the direct path twice. I know Missy will do it in the next episode, but it hurt Peter in this run. He would've had a solo win if he just didn't enter Medusa's Lair. Michelle was kind of slower than Peter, but she also was a little smarter. She avoided Medusa's Lair altogether and had one of the fastest King's Storeroom completions ever. She missed the Dark Forest shortcut though, which probably would've saved her time and give her a legitimate shot at reaching the Electrified Key. The team fell short in the end due to Peter's screw up. I agree with the scores given to both runners, since both had some redeeming qualities that the other partner lacked.

ANNIE TAYLOR:
And we save the best episode for last!   :mrblue:

Some people seem to think that Missy and John barely scraped by the whole episode. Maybe that is because they came back in their team game, but all the other rounds were close competition. And it was very exciting too. The Purple Parrots and Blue Barracudas were neck and neck throughout the day.

I am kind of unsure about your rankings for Jamea/John's temple game. From what I recall, didn't Jamea barely beat John in that game? I mean she barely inched out against him. You would think a strong guy like John would've beat a girl handily though. But you did the exact same thing as I did for Missy's temple game. It was a totally lucked based game, so where was no strategy involved at all. Excluding this game could be a good or bad thing because it would either make the player look better or look worse. I think it kind've hurts Missy score because we don't see her potential due to the luck-based factor in it. The team game was an amazing comeback though and the Blue Barracudas were behind but managed to pull it off. They answered the tiebreaker with some tit grabbing on the side and went to the temple.

I actually would've given Missy an 8-8.5 in the temple. She did a great job and didn't really do anything wrong. She did have a lucky temple guard placement, but she also smartly avoided them by taking the Dark Forest shortcut. So in a way, her strategy helped her avoid one. She moved at a good pace also and finished with plenty of time left. Her layout wasn't that easy either: Shrine, Dark Forest, King's Storeroom weren't the easiest objectives. Amazing win and one of the best ever on the show. Missy owned.  :barracudas2:  :barracudas1:

FINAL VERDICT:
This was my most favorite production day on the show. Either this one, or the Benzibab/Sforza one. I like this one better though since 3/4 of these episodes were classics. If I had to rank the episodes, it would go:

Annie Taylor > Atocha > Emiliano Zapata > Benjamin Franklin

And now I am really tempted to do the Golden Cricket Cage day as my next project. I am reading THK's rankings and I just don't agree with them at all. John getting a 3 in the temple? No way, he deserves a 1.

And then Jennifer (Map to the Lost Gold Mine) has a 6. And both Gabby and Joe get a 6 to. How does that even work? Gabby and Joe were so slow and didn't even last long. Not that it was their fault, but those rankings just make no sense. Especially giving Jennifer the same score as those two.

And why does Damian have a 0 in the Steps? That really makes him look worse than he actually did. Someone even was surprised that Damian finished with such a low score. The Barracudas were first in the moat, steps, won two pendant in the temple games, and even won the temple run. There is no way that they be ranked that low.

Sorry Poseidon and Red Sash, but I think I want to do the Cricket Cage/Lost Hammer/Golden Ship/Map to the Lost Gold Mine day next.

Yes, the tables have turned. This was a pretty daunting list to tackle.

As for John and Jamea's game, I remember Jamea being much more ahead in the rock climbing game than John was. I mean, if you look at the 25-56 mark of the game, you'll notice how much further along Jamea is. Maybe giving her an 8 was a little too generous though. And yeah, I really couldn't rank Missy and Stuart's game. Perhaps if it were the memory variation of it (like in "Sacred Ring" and "Ali Baba"), I would've given a score. But when it's luck based, there's really nothing you can do. And I was thinking of giving Missy an 8 for the temple run. Aside from moving at an average pace, she knew exactly what to do in every room. As far as how I'd rank the episodes on this day, it would probably go like this:

Annie Taylor > Emiliano Zapata > Atocha > Benjamin Franklin

But really, they were all exciting episodes. Even Benjamin Franklin, even though the outcome was disappointing.

And I completely agree with you on THK's rankings of the S1L2 filming day. Sorry, but despite the fact that he started these rankings in the first place, his rankings were just plain ridiculous. He was way too unfair and harsh with Damian's ranking. How does he deserve a 3 for the Steps of Knowledge? It's not like he continuously rang in with the wrong answer. You can't expect a team to sweep the steps every single episode. Not every team is like Matt from "Silver Horseshoe" of the Silver Snakes from "Icarus." Just because you don't ring in with an answer, doesn't make you stupid. Sometimes it's planned that way with their team. Not to mention, more than half his Steps of Knowledge scores for contestants ranged from 1-3. I know some people are just smart, and things just come naturally to them. But you can't expect every single contestant to know the answer within 2 seconds. That's just expecting too much from the players. And I also never understood how Jennifer AND both Golden Ship kids got a 6 for the temple run. Jennifer did a much better job, and moved much faster than Gabby and Joe out together. I don't understand the hate for John Sutter either. The Blue Barracudas were first in the moat, first in the Steps of Knowledge, won 2 pendants in the temple games, and won. I like it when a team dominates everything. And that's exactly what Damian and Jennifer did here. They did a great job and they totally deserved their win. Just like with Lucky Pillow, I have a feeling John Sutter gets ragged on just because everyone else likes it. :?

Good luck with your rankings on the S1L2 filming day though. Considering the runs on this day, you're probably gonna need it.
