And the Dried Apple Half and Roland filming day were back to back. Which one are you gonna do next, should you do more rankings?

I am definitely going to do the "Roland" day on account that I need to watch a production day with better episodes. And "The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain" and "The Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea" are one of my all time favorite episodes, so I know I won't be disappointed with those.  :mrred:

Meanwhile, I only like "Ivan the Terrible" for the "William Tell" production day.
"Hans Holbein" is an average episode that was boring and forgettable.
I hate the "William Tell" episode and the temple run is just horrible and cringeworthy.
I like the "Mary Shelly" episode only for the Legend and the temple games were surprisingly good, but the temple run sucks also.

I just finished my rankings for "The Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland" day. This was a good set of episodes overall, but there is one episode that ruined it kind of. I bet the numbers can tell you what episode that is.

THE IVORY HUNTING HORN OF ROLAND

Yakerra
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Game: 6.5
Team Game: 7.5
Temple Run: 6.75
Overall: 7.15

Kraig
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: N/A
Overall: 7.88

Courtney
Moat: 6.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 6
Overall: 7.25

Gerald
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 7
Overall: 7.75

NOTES:
This was a very exciting episode to watch, and both male players were fantastic. Admitedly, the Red Jaguars almost didn't go to the temple games since the Orange Iguanas were on fire in the Steps, But Kraig pulled out two quick answers at the last second to get his team to the temple games.

The temple games were competitive for both teams, but the Green Monkeys were slightly better in their individual games.  The Red Jaguars on the other hand did great in their temple games and I have never seen a team do so well in the boulder throwing game. Both Yakerra and Kraig were synchronized well.\

To be honest though, Yakerra never impressed me much in her temple run. Her layout was simple and she was slow if you take into account the simple layout. Not to mention she went into the back of the Shrine temple guard door when she got the Ivory Hunting Horn. She could've easily beaten the "Shaka Zulu" record, but its was still an earned victory nevertheless.

Overall, it was a good episode with a sort of exciting run and temple win.

THE ROYAL TORQUE OF QUEEN BOADICEA

Lissy
Moat: 6.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 8
Temple Run: 5
Overall: 7.1

Nate
Moat: 8.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 9
Team Game: 6.5
Temple Run: 8.5
Overall: 8.1

Jeanie
Moat: 5
Steps of Knowledge: 7.5
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 4.5
Overall: 5.75

Chris
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 5
Overall: 6.63

NOTES:
The Red Jaguars were a very strong team in this episode, especially Nate. He was one of two contestants first across the moat. Lissy kind of struggled, but she made it across after a couple of attempts. The Green Monkey girl sucked though and she LITERALLY beat the Orange Iguanas by a second.

The Red Jaguars swept the temple games in this episode and looked strong here. Nate did a solid job from preventing the Green Monkey boy from knocking down his Tower, while the Green Monkey boy kind of struggled to keep up with Nate. Lissy was moving kind of slow in her temple game compared to the Green Monkey girl, but she didn't fall off once, which helped her in the end win. The Green Monkey girl was fast but kept falling off,

The Green Monkeys looked really bad in the team temple game though. They were not synchronized at all and the Green Monkey boy kept pulling his partner back to the wall when she was trying to grab the boulder. The Red Jaguars on the other hand did great. Nate struggled to throw the boulders over the wall a few times, but Lissy did a good job catching them and both of them were synchronized. I gave Lissy a slightly better score.

The temple run is what really brought Lissy down. She just moved too slow in the Crypt and took too long climbing the wall in the Pit. Plus, she was kind of hesitated too much. Nate on the other hand was both fast and smart. He didn't stall even once and he grabbed the Torque with a small amount of time left. He was even smart to take the top floor out of the temple. Too bad they lost though because they would've won if Lissy picked up the pace.

Overall, this was a very exciting episode that ended with a very exciting loss. Great effort by the Red Jaguars.

THE LOST HORNPIPE OF THE PIRATE CAPTAIN

Jessica
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 9
Temple Run: 10
Overall: 8.6

Jarrid
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 9
Temple Run: 9.5
Overall: 8.3

Mary
Moat: 8.5
Steps of Knowledge: 7.5
Individual Game: 8
Team Game: 7
Overall: 7.75

Brent
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 10
Team Game: 7
Overall: 8.5

NOTES:
This episode featured two very strong teams. The Purple Parrots were dominant in the moat and did well at the Steps, while the Green Monkeys were right behind them in both categories.

The Purple Parrot boy, Brent, was very strong in his temple game. He knocked down all four soldiers in under a half-minute. Poor Jarrid struggled in this temple game and couldn't even keep up with Brent. Jessica and Mary were very competitive in their temple games and both ended in a close tie.

Jarrid and Jessica were very fast in their team game. They only beat it in what, 19 seconds? It only took both of them 4-5 pushes to knock down all three ships. The Purple Parrots were close behind them, but Jarrid and Jessica were just too good hear.

And do I really needs to say much about the temple run? They owned everything! I did have to give Jarrid a slightly lower score for the mistake in the Secret Password, but other than that...

Best team on Legends ever?

Overall, this was easily the best episode of the entire production day.

THE ENORMOUS FEATHER OF THE ME LINH

Karisa
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 6.5
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 4
Temple Run: 3
Overall: 5.3

David
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 7.5
Team Game: 6
Tiebreaker: +1
Temple Run:8
Overall: 7.6

Molly
Moat: 7.5
Steps of Knowledge: 8.5
Individual Game: 5
Team Game: 7
Overall: 7.0

Joey
Moat: 8.5
Steps of Knowledge: 9
Individual Game: 6
Team Game: 7.5
Overall: 7.75

NOTES:
Want a perfect example of a team scraping by each round? Well the Orange Iguanas won fourth in the moat, second in the steps, one pendant in the temple games, and had a mediocre temple run.

Really, none of the teams impressed me in this episode. The girls both looked pathetic in their temple game and I don't even know how Karisa won. The Purple Parrot girl kept missing her arrows when tossing them into the bucket and Karisa was dangling during the last 15 seconds of the game. Neither of them were that good.

Karisa sucked in the team temple game because she couldn't push David hard enough to knock down a Golden Statue. She also wasted time trying to even hold David still! I wonder why David didn't opt to push instead?

And ugh, the temple run is such a big fail! David was fast and solid, and he completed the bottom floor in about a minute . Karisa is such a fail and I swear Renegade Pancake couldn't have described her better: a tard. Really, she got lost in the Quicksand Bog and ran so slow all the way to the Shrine. Its a miracle she even made it to the Feather, and that was because David cleared a nice path for her. She didn't even bother speeding up in the end!

Overall, this episode sucked and both teams were not very good. It was clear that David was the one that carried this team throughout the temple. I hate this episode.

Yay, more rankings! :mrred: Now, my thoughts on them all:

Roland is a great episode. You can definitely tell both Kirk AND Dee had fun with this episode. "Lets get Roland!" anyone? As far as the rankings go, it seems like BOTH teams were neck and neck. Especially since the temple games ended with the Red Jaguars beating the Green Monkeys 1.5-1. And I agree about the temple run. Honestly, I consider Yakerra overrated. Sure, she moved pretty fast, but her layout was so simple, like you said. While it was an earned victory, to call Yakerra "an amazing, wonderful player who's just plain excellent," is pushing it. She's not an "amazing, all start player" that people make her out to be. I found her to be average, and not that impressive. Still a good episode nonetheless.

And Royal Torque is a pretty good episode too. And what a coincidence, another Red vs. Green match up, with Red going to the temple. As for the teams, Nate was clearly the star of the show. He definitely carried the team throughout the episode. Jeanie on the Green Monkeys sucked, she really brought her team down. And the Green Monkeys were pathetic in the team game. They couldn't even get one rock in the bin, while the Red Jaguars synced together perfectly, like you said. I think giving them a 4 or a 5 was a little too generous. They both deserved a 3 in my opinion. The temple run was good, Lissy was too slow. Nate did very well, even grabbed the Royal Torque too! My guess if he had stayed low, it probably would have been an "Icarus" or "Emiliano Zapata" type finish. They probably would have won if Lissy wasn't so hesitant. Either way, pretty exciting ending, an IMMENSE improvement over the other Red Jaguar "bottom central shaft" run. *coughFrederickDouglasscough*

And what more needs to be said about Pirate Captain? Jessica and Jarrid OWNED IT through every single round. And the Purple Parrots weren't so far behind either. Really, there's no excuse NOT to give Jessica a 10 for the run. She made the bottom central shaft look like it was nothing! Especially considering the Pit/Storeroom entry way was somehow blocked, and was potentially a production error. That's what adds on to the awesomeness of the run. And enough said about Jarrid too, even with his Secret Password detour. Great episode, "one of the best teams ever seen" indeed.

And then, after three exciting and awesome episodes, we get.... this. The dreaded Enormous Feather episode. I always hate it when there's a strong of good episodes, and then we get a really crappy one. And this episode is a perfect example of that. The Orange Iguanas just BARELY won each round, total dumb luck if you ask me. I thought it was gonna be PP Pwnage with the Parrots, being first in the moat, AND first in the Steps. Only to once again, choke at the tiebreaker. -_- Though looking at your rankings, everyone besides Karisa did pretty decently. It was her who brought down the whole episode. And don't even get me started on the temple run. Do. Not. Want. I've only seen the full episode 2 or 3 times at most. And like Bifocal Monocle, I always skip over this one whenever I'm rewatching episodes on YouTube. I hate this episode too. Like TPP said when reviewing this episode long ago, "I was rooting for the Parrots in the temple games." The Purple Parrots would have done a better job for sure.

Like always, great rankings. :D Are you gonna do the "Discarded Seal" filming day next? Since you brought that up earlier.

I am thinking of doing "The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd" day next before doing "Ivan the Terrible" day. I want to get rankings for Leah and Matthew. The only downside about the "Belle Boyd" day is that I have to watch the "Sojourner Truth" team and "Lily-Crested Crown", both boring episodes.

Lily Crested Crown wasn't on Belle Boyd's filming day. Unless you want to do the Lily Crested Crown/Apanuugpak filming day next.

So no "Clovis I"? Awesome!

So IIRC, that day consisted of "Pytheas", "Belle Boyd", and "Sojourner Truth"... I don't remember the other episode, is it "Tokugawa Ieayasu"? If so, then that will be a production day full of two pendant runs. :o :mrred:

Nope. It's Gwalior.
Favourite Team: Red Jaguars
Favourite Episode: The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great, tied with the Mussel Shell Armor of Apanuugpak and the Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain
Favourite Season: Season 3

When artists like LMFAO, Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jespen and Justin Bieber and songs like "Party Rock Anthem", "Call Me Maybe", "Thrift Shop" and others are succeeding in today's music industry and about 99% of the world is buying their shit and any argument you make is followed by nonsense from these people, you would wish the world had ended on 21st December 2012.

Yeah, Gwalior was first, Belle Boyd was second, Pytheas was third, and Sojourner Truth was fourth. But, that whole filming day was all 2 pendant runs. In fact, with the exception of Sojourner Truth, all the runs that day had the temple game score of 2-1.5. Sojourner Truth was 2-0.5. Interesting coincidence there.

Tokugawa was on the same day as Clovis I, as well as Apanuugpak and Poseidon. We all know what the standout episode that day was.

I remember saying that I would rank Jennifer from the John Sutter episode to see if I've given her too much criticism. Well, here is my ranking of her (plus Damian and the team overall just for kicks):

John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine

Damian
Moat: 9
SoK: N/A (no attempt)
Individual Temple Game: 8
Team Temple Game: 8.5
Temple Run: 7
Average: 8.13

Jennifer
Moat: 9
SoK: 9
Individual Temple Game: 8
Team Temple Game: 8.5
Temple Run: 7.5
Average: 8.4

Overall Team Average: 8.27

Okay, I HAVE given Jennifer a bunch of undeserved criticism. She was great the entire show. Her temple run performance was pretty good. However, I docked her points for making a few mistakes during the run:

-Sitting on the Throne when Damian already did that. I let her off the hook here though because her plan was to enter the Spider's Lair. Plus, in a rush to get there, she probably forgot that Damian completed the Throne Room.

-Struggling with the Silver Monkey. This was where she got slowed down the most. I obviously had to dock her for this. That "dastardly" Silver Monkey!

-Putting the torch in the torch holders when all she had to do was ride the elevator. I docked her for that as well.

HOWEVER, despite all of that, Jennifer was very fast and she did most of the work. That's not to say Damian was bad. He did a pretty good job throughout the episode too (not including the Steps). This was a really good episode.

Thank you! I agree with your rankings so much more than THK's for "Map to the Lost Gold Mine". I was honestly baffled on how Damian ranked 5.6 overall on that episode. I mean when TMH did his team rankings a long time ago, I am pretty sure Damian and Jennifer were like one of the top 10 teams on Legends or something like that. Looking back at THK's rankings, I just don't understand how Damian would get "3" in the Steps. I mean what did he do so bad that they got such a low score again?

And another thing that bothered me about his rankings for Jennifer and Damian was that both of them got a "6" in the temple. Yet, he turned around and gave both Gabby and Joe the SAME ranking even though they only traveled through four rooms. Both contestants were solid in the temple and I wouldn't deduct them for every little mistake like he did. Damian may had not lasted long, but he was very quick and covered three rooms in under 30 seconds. Jennifer moved fast too and she covered 7 rooms before reaching the Map. I mean the only place she really had trouble with is the Shrine and Torch Room. And many good contestants like Jason from "Nostradamus" and Andrea struggled in the Shrine. I think both temple scores are good.

Overall, I just don't agree with THK's rankings for Damian and Jennifer and I prefer yours more. I mean they finished first in the moat, first in the Steps, two pendants in the temple games, and won in the temple run. Having a team average of "6.3" just doesn't add up for a team this solid. I mean they were no Jarrid and Jessica but they were a kick ass team still.

And on another note, there was only one temple game miscounted in this episode and that was the first game. The third game was not miscounted and Jennifer and Damian won that one fair and square.

Yeah, I strongly agree with PP319's rankings MUCH more than I ever did THK's rankings. I'm sorry, but I thought THK's rankings of John Sutter were way too harsh and honestly, ridiculous. He was way too hard on them for no reason. I fail to see why Damian got a "3" for the Steps, like TRJ pointed out. Just because he didn't ring in much, he automatically gets a low point? And his rankings on both Damian AND Jennifer were way too harsh. No way did they deserve a 6, they were both great players. Just because someone doesn't move fast, doesn't make them a terrible player. You can't call a win bad and undeserved just because they're not Jarrid or Gator speed. Go back and watch the other three runs before them. You'll be grateful we even HAD players that were at least halfway decent. Really now. This team dominated every round and still earned a very exciting and memorable victory. They deserved to win, no other way around it.

Overall, great rankings, PP319. I basically agree with all of them.

Thanks guys. Those two truly were good players. The reason I gave Damian an N/A for the Steps is because he never attempted to ring in and he never answered anything. Jennifer did the work there.
