Yeah, that would've been SO SWEET if they would've added WITWICS and MOTM, but I'm guessing that the copyright holders of those shows (Along with the Family of the Late Lynn Thigpen) had something to say against the resurrection of those shows.
Nick never owned either of the Carmen Sandiego shows - they were both under public broadcasting / NPR licenses - or Masters of the Maze - the Family Channel aired that, which was bought by Fox; I believe Disney technically has the rights to it, now - so that was a really stupid rumor.
...exactly what would Lynne Thigpen's family have to do with anything? It's not like the Chief was selling crack out the back dooror anything to disgrace the family.
First of all, I'm not saying that Nick ever owned either show. I'm saying that the CURRENT ACTUAL copyright holders hold those rights. Secondly, I'm not trying to start a bunch of rumors, I'm meerly stating THEORIES about why those shows never made it (If it was true that they ever were) to Nick GaS. Lastly, and I'm not entirely sure of this, but I believe that when a TV personality dies, the next of kin inherits ALL aspects of the deceased person's life, including the ability to grant (or dissallow) permission to use the deceased's image for broadcast. My theory about Thigpen's family is based on this fact or the fact that they don't wanna be reminded of the fact that she's dead now.
