Just Another Topic to Stir Things Up
« on: December 16, 2006, 05:40:37 PM »
On Youtube awhile ago, I saw a video of the Bandit Queen run which was actually put up (I think) by Zac Turney himself. On the bottom of the screen it said the name of the episode and it also said it was filmed December 1994. This probably means this was one of the first if not THE first season 3 episode taped. The Chandragupta episode also had the artifact shown it the temple run description. I believe that any run with the alternate footage was at the beginning of the season, not the end. Olmec also had a weird golden glow in those episodes as well. The only other one I can remember is the Heralded Helmet episode. But I know there were more.

Yeah, the gold glow would give away the early episodes. Another early one was probably "The Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror." Note the downright awful lip-syncing when Olmec says the show's title.

It was made by Zac Turney, I know that one.  The link to it was on his website.

Ya know, i really never got "the gold glow" you always speak of, nicklegends. To me, in season 3, Olmec always has a orangey-gold glow to him... And he looks disgustingly covered in moss, too.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, and we all know for sure that the Gold Glow meant early episodes because GAS already aired them in production order, but also because the opening sequence was pre-recorded, and when Kirk asked Olmec what was the legend, he would light up gold, and then the scene would cut to an up-close shot of him talking, therefore proving gold means early.
