All of those rooms were tough, but I'd have to say the Shrine.  Even some of the best contestants got a little confounded with the monkey.

That said, they all have their own share of temple run-halting disasters (Tony with Medusa's Lair, etc.)

Regardless of skill, the Holes of Python were never completed that quickly.  Imagine if a tall beast like Robbie (The Pendant of Kamehameha) had to traverse that.

The Holes always did eat up a lot of time.  Add the Wheel Room and that's a nasty bottom floor.

The Holes never appeared without the Wheel Room, so yes, Layouts VII-IX were bitches.

I picked Shrine of the Silver Monkey, only because not many people could pass through with easy. Heck, even Joel had trouble!

Medusa's Lair has taken many casualties. The Shrine has foiled a couple temple runs too. Some kids just couldn't get the hang of the Holes either. I love the Holes of Python.... mainly because of the Blue Pearl.

I think we can't undermine the S2 King's Storeroom. Sometimes, so much time was wasted in there.... it seemed to be the room where the kids didn't know what to do, too. Also, getting the key on the third pot and then opening the door on the third pedestal was killer.

The Tomb of the Headless Kings. It seemed like a straightforward idea for a room, but it took so long to complete. I've never liked that room, and it was by far the most difficult to complete room that occupied that space.

I'll go for the Tomb of the Headless Kings. It was just a ridiculous room--the objective was bizarre and time-consuming, and the room was helplessly cramped.

Remember the War Fan of the 47 Ronin? The boy took at least 40 seconds and he knocked the door shut; another 25 seconds. So I guess you could say the spent over a minute in that room.
