Why was there never a temple guard in The Jester's Court? There was an trapdoor to the left of the middle block, so temple guards wre planned by the production staff. There were no reasons a temple guard shouldn't be in the that room. Any ideas as to why?

that door was really small and it just worked out that way. How come there were never any guards in the well or vipers nest

That's an interesting question now that you mention the trapdoor. I had always assumed that there was no door at all, but if the trapdoor did in fact exist, then that raises question.
Crazy, but that's how it goes.

It's not a trap door. It's the second door that leads into the Dark Forest that was sealed off. Remember in season 1, there were two active doors in that room? Any layout with the Jester's Court only has one active door.

My question, is why couldn't the temple gaurds sit or stand in the position of the wall paintings, and then seemingly "come to life" and capture the kids. They could exit through the doors in whatever room the contestant just came from or just hop the front. They also could have crouched down in front of the room behind hte ledge and popped up to capture the kids, too.

EDIT: Oh wait.... i'm thinking of the wrong door... carry on.

The Viper's Nest lasted for only 15 episodes and hardly any team entered the Well. There were very few temple guards in those two rooms regardless of what they were called.

there wasn't a single guard in that area the entire season 2 and only one in season one add all the season 3 and your not even close to the amount that were in the swamp

I need to look for that trap door, as I'd not noticed it before... My only guess, if the door does exist, is that the crew was afraid the players would hug the wall too much when traversing about it, making a temple guard capture really awkward. Maybe it was too cramped in there as well? There are a lot of different possibilities.
