ROUND 3: TEMPLE GAMES
*Pendant Splits in half again*
KIRK: Welcome back to Legends. Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. So let?s hear it for Gina and Raymond of the Blue Barracudas, and Chelsea and Brian of the Orange Iguanas. Why don't you all get ready for the Temple Games and I'll tell you what's gonna happen here. In the Temple Games, teams are gonna be competing to win: Pendants of Life. The winning team is gonna need those pendants to protect themselves from those dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple. There are three Temple Games and Olmec will tell us about Temple Game Number 1.
TEMPLE GAME 1
OLMEC: Plato wrote many dialogues during his life time of which are still being studied in modern times. Above you are several pages from a dialogue on a shelf. When Kirk gives the signal, one member from each team will climb up to the top of the shelf, grab a page, and bring it down. Then, you will place it in your bin and then your partner with do the same. Which ever team brings down all seven pages, or the team who?s further along at the end of 60 seconds wins.
KIRK: Alright. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock.
*Clock is set for 60 seconds*
KIRK: On your mark... Get set... GO!
Results: Tie (2-2)
KIRK: Okay, let's see what we?ve got here. The Blue Barracudas got 1, 2 pages and the Orange Iguanas got 1, 2 pages. So, that gives the them both the Half-Pendant of life. Next, we go to our next game. It's also worth a Half Pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game Number 2.
TEMPLE GAME 2
OLMEC: In the time of Ancient Greece, people often used animals to transport their writings, which is just what you are going to do. When Kirk gives the signal, the horse will start to gallop. Hold on tight. If you fall off, you will lose a point. Each point represents one writing you have. Whoever still has points remaining, or whoever still has the most points at the end of 60 seconds wins.
KIRK: The Orange Iguanas can catch up here. So why don't we find out by putting 60 seconds up on the clock? *Clock is set for 60 seconds* On your mark... Get set... GO!
Result: Blue Barracudas (2-1)
KIRK: That's it. Let's see the results. The Orange Iguanas managed to save 1 writing, and the Blue Barracudas had 2, giving them another Half-Pendant of Life. The score is now 1 to 0. Now, we go to our third, and final, game. It's worth a Full Pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.
TEMPLE GAME 3
OLMEC: Plato was a famous writer, and writers of that time began using pens to write with. When Kirk gives the signal, one player from each team will run around, jump up, and grab a pen. Then you will toss it in your bin. Whoever has the most pens in their bin at the end of 60 seconds wins.
KIRK: This one is for the Temple. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock. *Clock is set for 60 seconds* On your mark... Get set... GO!
Results: Blue Barracuda (4-3)
KIRK: Time's up. Let's check this out. The Blue Barracudas got 1, 2, 3, 4 pens. And the Orange Iguanas got 1, 2, 3 pens. So... that gives the Blue Barracudas the Full Pendant of Life, giving the Blue Barracudas 2 Pendants, and the Orange Iguanas only a half. The Blue Barracudas are going to the Temple.
*Audience cheers*
KIRK: Alright. Orange Iguanas gave it a gallant effort too. We've got a great gift for them, and here's what it is.
