Custom Text Colors?

I've seen The Bamboo Forest and The Ancient Warrior use some silver/gray type of text in their fanfics. But there isn't any silver/gray in the Font color drop-down box. Do they just like make a new set of tags or is there some way to do this?

I believe so...

But another thing you can do is use hex codes, which are six-digit codes that specify an exact color from about 16 million options. These are a tad difficult to explain, but if you want the full scoop, I'll give it to you. Here are a few examples, in any case...
