I totally agree with you on that. Because of the coronavirus my parents and I can't go to the movies or the library or even or out to eat anymore because of the stupid coronavirus.

Haven’t worked in a month and I can’t go out since we are in a lockdown.

I have to work.

I've actually thought about quitting because this job has become so stressful and I have to be around a lot of people, but my mom tells me that I need insurance and finding a new job will be tougher than ever because of this pandemic since a lot of places aren't open for business. For those who don't know, I work at a store and I have to be out on the floor with the customers. It's not a fun time. We're just so busy. Here where I live, it's like people don't know the meaning of "social distancing". I don't feel safe, but I feel like I'm trapped with this job.

I honestly don't think this will get any better anytime soon. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not very optimistic at the moment.

I have to work during this lockdown too. Fortunately, I can work from home for most days and we have a limit of 10 people per day in my office.

Do you work retail, PP319? I worked retail for 7 years, but fortunately I got the hell out 4 years ago. I can't imagine being around customers during these crazy times. They were already annoying AF during normal days. I can't imagine how they're acting during the pandemic. I know when I got to grocery stores to show, I try to be extra appreciative towards the workers. I've seen a lot of people complaining about petty crap during this lockdown.

Not sure how long this lockdown will last, but I'm slowly accepting that it might impact the rest of 2020. Which sucks for me because I had a lot of good stuff happening in the past year. Maybe the hot summer will help slow the spread of the virus, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yep, grocery store work. I work for one of those online shopping services that lets people order online and then they pull into a designated parking space to pick up their stuff without leaving their vehicle. Thankfully this store hired a lot of new people for the department, but it's still a very stressful time and corporate is planning on increasing the max number of orders per day, which would be crap on top of crap. The store still gets packed too. That doesn't make it any better.

Again, I really don't think this will get any better, at least not any time soon. It just sucks that everything is getting canceled or put on hiatus. I miss watching live sports.

I'm with you, GM1. I will be turning 30 next month and had some big goals going into this year. Now I'm ready to jump forward to 2021.  Although I try to count my blessings considering I still have a job and no one in my family has been infected with COVID yet. But this year has been an absolute nightmare for sure.

Will 2021 be better? At this rate, I don't have much optimism, but I really would like it if 2021 got here already. 2020 has been an awful year and it keeps getting worse.

Today I lost my best dog friend in the entire world for the last 15 1/2 years. To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement. She was absolutely the love of my life for all those years, and I don’t know what I’m going to do without her. I love you so much, Chloe, and I’ll miss you!
