NFL offseason's already been crazy:

  • Russell Wilson traded to the Broncos
  • Amari Cooper traded to the Browns
  • Carson Wentz traded to the Redskins Football Team Commanders
  • Davante Adams traded to the Raiders
  • JC Jackson signed with Chargers
  • Mitch Trubisky signed with the Steelers
  • Teddy Bridgewater signed with the Dolphins
  • Randy Gregory signed with the Broncos
  • Chandler Jones signed with the Raiders
  • Von Miller signed with the Bills
  • Tom Brady came out of retirement

There was already a thread about this, so I've merged them together (and also edited the OP to include the reuploaded video). :)

Noticed that the "flashback" clips of Josh and Nick had the Nick GaS logo on them. Did the producers just grab the episodes off of Youtube or Dailymotion or something?

Also, quite the coincidence that the temple games matchup pitted the teams that Josh (Orange) and Nick (Blue) beat in the temple games in their original episodes.

This Sunday's episode will have Josh and Nick from the original series returning. Not sure which Josh and Nick as there was more than one Josh and more than one Nick on the show.

If Nick's last name is Borey, what's Joshua's last name? There was a Joshua in Season 1 whose last name is Shullener.

Not sure, but I’m certain that Nick is the Silver Snake from “Henry the VIII’s Great Seal” and Josh is from “Imperial Purple Robe”. I’m in a Legends group on Facebook and someone put a video from the show both contestants mentioned their time on the 90’s version

And Henry VIII Nick/Empress Theodora Josh confirmed.

Your possibilities (provided they limited it to only those who made it to the temple):

Josh: Cracked Crown of the Spanish King, Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora, Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King
Nick: Henry VIII's Great Seal, Leopard Skin Cloak of Annie Oakley, Missing Weather Maps of Charles Lindbergh, Melted Head of Madame Tussaud

Who cares about that shit?

Kirk's coming back.

Let's not ignore this detail, too  :

Fogg’s appearance on Sunday will also mark another reunion, as this week’s episode will feature contestants who first appeared on the original ’90s Nickelodeon version of the show.

Obviously no idea who, but it'll certainly be neat seeing some OG contestants again (and hopefully they limited it to only those who made it to the temple).

The reboot's not dead! It has been picked up by the CW and will tape this summer:

“Legends of the Hidden Temple” is headed back to the small screen, but not in its original kid-friendly format. The Nickelodeon competition adventure series from the 1990s is all grown up in the revival ordered Tuesday by the CW.

The original Nickelodeon series that aired from 1993-1995 was inspired by Nintendo’s “The Legend of Zelda” game and the “Indiana Jones” movie franchise. The new iteration is described as a supersized and reimagined adult version.

Per the logline, the “Legends of the Hidden Temple” remake, based on the game show created by David G. Stanley, Scott A. Stone and Stephen R. Brown, will preserve many of the Nickelodeon series’ iconic elements. These include “Olmec,” the giant talking Mayan head, the “Moat Crossings,” “The Steps of Knowledge,” the “Temple Run,” and all of the original team names like “Purple Parrots,” “Blue Barracudas,” “Orange Iguanas,” “Red Jaguars,” “Silver Snakes” and “Green Monkeys.” This time, the entire show is taken out of the safety of a studio setting into a “mysterious jungle” with tougher challenges and bigger prizes. Five teams begin the journey, but only one is “strong enough and smart enough” to enter the ominous Olmec’s Temple, avoid the Temple Guards, retrieve a lost treasure and return it to its rightful owner.

With “Legends of the Hidden Temple,” the CW is further amping up and diversifying its alternative programming slate, as well as its target audience. “Legends of the Hidden Temple” still holds a special place in the hearts of millennials who grew up watching the competition series, and it has since inspired a movie, mobile and board games, a popular Halloween costume and repeat episodes still air on occasion, even 30 years later.

“Legends of the Hidden Temple” is produced by Stone & Company Entertainment and Nickelodeon. The series is executive produced by Stone and Marcus Fox (“Paradise Run”).

As you likely noticed (and I didn't until now  ) for the last few months, making new posts wasn't working. Well, I'm happy to announce that the issue has (finally  ) been fixed!

Apologies for the inconvenience, and happy posting!

Decided to sticky this to avoid the board getting cluttered with similar threads for each individual episode. Keep all your half pendant location discussion here.

The Heart Room / Re: Possible Alternative Routes
« on: August 19, 2020, 02:22:24 PM »
Just noticed that in the War Fan run, the door to the Dark Forest opened after Jeremy completed the Monkey. Admittedly it's possible that there could've been a temple spirit down there and/or the wall wouldn't break down like in Alhambra and Empress Theodora, but the possibility exists that this could've been a solo win.

The Heart Room / Re: Ways to Improve Losing Temple Runs
« on: August 16, 2020, 07:37:44 PM »
Some ideas from my view:

Cricket Cage: Take the videotape, douse it in gasoline, and light it on fire.

Kamehameha: A simple one. If Robbie goes straight to the Observatory from the Pit (the door opened when Tina spun the sundial), he has himself a solo win.

Henry VIII: Shay starting in the Gargoyles instead of the Cave (provided the team wouldn't be forced into the Cave from there) would at the very least have prevented a triple seizure. Winning could still be tricky given that Shay would've been taken out one room away under this scenario.

Lucky Pig: Reverse order of players (duh  ) and start in the Cave of Sighs instead of the Gargoyle Room. Other than the Room of Harmonic Convergence, where the Pig was, the Cave of Sighs and Heart Room were the only rooms that Kristen didn't enter. The Gargoyle Room had a guard, so I highly doubt the Cave of Sighs would have had one, too. So unless the team would have have been forced into the Gargoyles from the Cave, this would make it a solo win.

Blackbeard: Reverse order of players (duh  ). There's no way James would've been as incompetent as Sabrina. Right?

Lost Fountain of Youth: Same as Lucky Pig, though the start point change is for a different reason. The placement of the guards basically forced them to encounter all three to have a prayer at winning.

Secret Battle Plan: Inform the judges that Olmec said nothing about the pieces in the "Attack Philadelphia" temple game having to be oriented the right way, thereby preventing the Silver Snakes from being screwed out of the full pair of pendants (and in turn preventing a triple capture, though Cristina finding the plainly visible half pendant, which James had earlier signaled to her, would've taken care of that, too).

Lost Lion Tail: Keep the Silver Snakes from knocking over their sign in the third temple game, thereby preventing the Purple Parrots from making it to the temple in the first place.

Dolley Madison: Another simple one. If Matt starts in the Crypt instead of the Ledges, he has himself a solo win.

Marble Armrest: Make the writers put some effort into the tiebreaker question, so the least deserving team doesn't make it to the temple on the easiest tiebreaker of all time.
