Title: Top 3 Wins by Team - Red Jaguars
Post by: The Red Jaguars on December 25, 2013, 01:25:39 AM
Merry Christmas! Time for a new poll, and this one is similar to the "Top 5 Wins by Season" poll we had recently. This time around, we are voting for the best 3 wins for each team color. For each team, I will hold a daily poll and you must vote for the 3 best wins. When voting for which win to choose, try to compare them to other wins from the same team. For example, don't compare Red Jaguar wins with Orange Iguanas wins when you are voting for the Jaguar ones.

Once we collected the top 3 wins for each team, I will hold a final poll for each team where you will vote for their best win on the whole show. Since the Purple Parrots only have 3 wins, we will skip them the first time around. But I will make one poll later to decide the best win for that team. ;)

We will start off with the Silver Snakes.  :mrsilver:

Results:

Blue Barracudas
1. The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor (4)
2. John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Gold Mine (4)
3. The Belly Button of Buddha (3)

4. The Diary of Dr. Livingstone (1)

Green Monkeys
1. Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress (5)
2. The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanuugpak (5)
3. The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain (4)

4. The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta (1)

Orange Iguanas
1. The Lucky Medallion of Atocha (4)
2. The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus (4)
3. The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain (4)

Purple Parrots
1. The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid (--)
2. The Milk Bucket of Freydis (--)
3. The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen (--)

Silver Snakes:
1. The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen (5)
2. Galileo's Cannonball (4)
3. The Star of Sultan Saladin (4)

4. The Ruby Earring of Benzibab (2)

The poll has been set, and the three wins I voted for were Galileo, Sultan Saladin, and Bandit Queen.

Galileo and Bandit Queen were both good team victories that were exciting and memorable. They both had slow frontrunners, but Jammin John and Zac were amazing in their temple runs. Both wins are exciting in their own ways, and the male players stick out in those runs.

Sultan Saladin was a good solo victory too, and Lea did a great job in the temple. I know Joel and Enormous Iron Nose Ring finished with more time than Lea, but Sultan Saladin had less flaws than Joel's run. Lea was a fast and smart contestant, and I honestly never cared that she took the direct path.

It goes...

Galileo > Bandit Queen > Sultan Saladin for this vote.

I never really realized how few wins the Silver Snakes had. It feels like they should've had more with their constant appearances in Season 1.

Anyways, I also voted for Galileo, Sultan Saladin, and Bandit Queen. Sultan Saladin gets too much undeserved flack. Just because Lea "took a direct path," doesn't make her a bad player. She did great in the temple. She was fast, smart, and knew what to do in every room. She deserved to win, especially since she was the first solo victor ever.

Didn't we already do this?  ;)

Those are runs that define a team, loss or win. This is strictly wins only. They're kind of different subjects. ;)

Yeah, this poll is dedicated solely to the wins on the show. While the results for some teams might be the same, there was also some runs in the other polls that were not wins like PPF mentioned. Like how Queen Boadicea winning for the Red Jaguars and Red Sash winning for the Blue Barracudas. ;) And when I am done with every team, I am going to make a poll where we will vote for the best win for each team. ;)

The Silver Snake winners are Bandit Queen (5), Galileo (4), and Sultan Saladin (4). Ruby Earring also got two votes, but it will miss the top 3.

The next team we will cover is the Orange Iguanas.  :mrorange:

The poll is set now for the Orange Iguanas, and my votes were pretty obvious: Lucky Medallion, Levitating Dog Leash, and Sir Gawain.

These three runs are easily the best wins for the Orange Iguanas. Their only other choice was Butch Cassidy, and you know how I feel about that win. I hate to always pick on that win, but it just doesn't stack up against the three above. The other three wins were more memorable, exciting, and fun to watch. But Butch Cassidy was boring and forgettable, and the worst win of the Orange Iguanas.

Silver Snakes: Galileo, Sultan Saladin, and Bandit Queen.

Orange Iguanas: Atocha, Nostradamus, and Sir Gawain.

Atocha, Nostradamus, Sir Gawain. Definitely an easy choice for me.

Our three winners are Atocha, Levitating Dog Leash, and Sir Gawain with 4 votes a piece. ;)

Our next team will be the Green Monkeys.

The poll has been set, and I voted for Lawrence of Arabia, Pirate Captain, and Mussel-Shell Armor. All three of those wins were very strong, memorable, and exciting. I really wish I could vote for Emiliano Zapata because that win so also very exciting and memorable too. The reason I didn't though was because I like the other three slightly better. Chandragupta is good too, and it will get an honorable mention.

Also voted for Lawrence of Arabia, Lost Hornpipe, and Apanuugpak. Those teams owned everything.

And we are done with the Green Monkeys. Lawrence of Arabia (5), Mussel-Shell Armor (5), and Pirate Captain (4) are the winners.

The Blue Barracudas are next.  :mrblue:

The poll for the Blue Barracudas is ready now, and I voted for "Annie Taylor", "Map to the Lost Gold Mine", and "Buddha". "Annie Taylor" and "Lost Gold Mine" were obvious choices for me. No other Barracuda win can top those two. But my last choice came down to "Buddha" and "Dr. Livingstone". I chose "Buddha" in the end because I felt that run was more slightly earned, and had less flaws. But both runs are still forgettable and boring to me.

I voted for John Sutter, Annie Taylor (obvious choices), and Buddha as my filler choice.

I think we can move onto the best team now. The Blue Barracuda winners are Annie Taylor (4), Map to the Lost Gold Mine (4), and Buddha (3).

The best team ever is up now. (Red Jaguars)  :jaguars2:

This poll was too easy. I voted for Genghis Khan, Roland, and Catherine the Great. They were all obvious choices because all of them are easily better than Shaka Zulu. Well, Roland was way too easy also. But at least Yakerra won it fairly and not on some stupid production error. Shaka Zulu is a lame win and one of the worst on the show.

The poll says Joan of Arc instead of Genghis Khan. ;)

Poll has been fixed. You seriously need to pay attention to what you're putting up there. ;)

And I also voted for Genghis Khan, Roland, and Catherine the Great. And NOT "the best temple run ever" just because Bobby gets lucky with a production error. And just because he wins in quick time.

Well, it's been finished, but TRJ never really gave an official "close out" message. I forgot about this thread too.
