Title: ATTENTION Nickelodeon: I have a proposal to make
Post by: PurpleParrot319 on June 15, 2011, 10:19:25 PM
You know we all loved (and still love) Legends of the Hidden Temple. This show was our childhood back then. I feel that if you bring this show back to Nickelodeon, you will attract more viewers of any age. It doesn't matter if you bring back the reruns or revive the show (just don't change it up TOO much if you do decide to bring it back), we just want to see Legends back on the air. If you do decide to bring back the reruns of this show, then I know you can find a place on Nick At Night to put this show in. Please don't air this show at a time like 2 AM or 3 AM or sometime after that as this is the time most people are in bed by.

Thank you.

Sadly, I don't see that happening at all.  :(

Nick tried this back around the summer of 2007, where the aired about 10 episodes of Legends before they pulled the show from their rotation and replaced it with the Fairly Odd Parents.

A revive of the show would be nice though. But in order to do that, they would probably need to make some changes and update the set a bit. I would like to see a revival of the show.

Um... last time I checked, the exact number was 14!!! :P

And, I don't see this happening at night. Maybe like 2-3 PM, if we're lucky.

Also, the problem with airing it @ 7:30AM, which they did in 2007 (Starting on my 20th Birthday FTW!) is that it was at a too early time slot to gain ANY attention. Plus they didn't advertise it, or else they would have garnered a SHITLOAD of oldschool fanatic viewers.

Let's not count out a LOTHT yet.

Arguably, the 3 biggest franchises for game shows is Guts, Double Dare, and Legends.

Double Dare kept getting revived, the most recent being Double Dare 2000, and Guts has been revived (but is now on hiatus).

With the creation of BrainSurge, this maybe a new leaf, and game shows maybe coming back.

I'm on DirecTv, and this is Channel 299 lineup staring at 12:00 (obviously in 30 minute intervals)

Victorious (1 hour)
1:00 Victorious
iCarly
Victorious
Victorious
Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush
Spongebob
TUFF Puppy
Spongebob
Spongebob
Big Time Rush (1 hour)
7:00 iCarly
Spongebob

Then goes Nick at Nite.

If Nick would revive Legends, and pair it with BrainSurge for an hour block of game shows, or would just re-air the show and replace it with one of the Victorious or Big Time Rush slots above, I think Nickelodeon would have a lot of success with it.

I certainly wouldn't keep it out of the realm of possibility. In fact, I believe that Stone-Stanley (as Stone and Co.) also made BrainSurge.
