I still think that a random generator would be more conducive than using a predetermined seeding, since the seeding already ranks the episodes. There wouldn't be any surprising match ups, and the final standings of the episodes are already defined, based on the way that bracket is structured. By formatting the bracket to have the #1 go against the #120 in the first round, it is obvious that the #1 team is going to win. If you continue that pattern throughout the bracket, the top half will move on each round, until the final match up is #1 versus #2. That isn't so exciting or enticing. At least with a random generator, there is a chance for some match ups to be more exciting and for the later match ups to be not as obvious.
