How do you get rid of scratches on CDs?

I was wondering how you get rid of those darn scratches.  I know I didn't do anything wrong to the CD because I always put it back in the case when I was done with it.  Does anybody have a way that you can fix it?

Are you sure it's scratched? If you always put it back it should be in good condition. Are you sure it's not a problem with your computer or disc drive?
