It's not that common I post - let alone make a thread - but I feel this is a special case.
George Carlin died earlier at the age of 71. You knew it was coming; his health was visibly deteriorating on his past two HBO specials, but I didn't expect the heart problems so soon.
This rocks me especially, because he was my role model. He taught me through his comedy that you could question what everyone said and to not take any nonsense from anyone. He helped shape my confidence and formed the person I am today.
I will truly miss the man, one of the few outspoken individuals that NEEDED to be there. 80% of comedians today wouldn't be performing were it not for Mr. Carlin.
Rest in peace, funny man.
