Olmec's Temple Run Strategies!

Post your strats for temple runs here!

~If the artifact is on the upper floor, start out in the lower floor & curve around. There is usually a temple guard in the entrance room on the same floor as the artifact. This rarely differs.
~Try to avoid a vertical trek through the center column. It usually is no good, but some exceptions (The Jeweled Scabbard of Sfroza).
~If the artifact is in the upper left room & you're in the Dark Forest, just bust through the wall. It's quicker to climb up to the room, than to assemble a dreaded siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilver monkey.

I got one.

~Hope that the tech crew screws up and the locked door opens.
Crazy, but that's how it goes.

I would send in my partner first so I could be the one that wouldn't have to worry about temple guards, and then do every objective as quickly as possible, while taking a short-as-possible path to the artifact. I'd dash through the Dark Forest completely, if I had to enter it, to avoid any temple spirits (like Joel did in te Iron Nose Ring episode.)

That's pretty much it--go in second, and run like a madman. It's not a complex routine, but it would work.

Another thing, I hate it when, for example, an artifact is hidden in the center room. They (almost) always press that actuator - its not going to open, moron! Or in the interview for one of the episodes, I cant remember which. The artifact was in the Throne Room (season 1). The girl said she was going to run into the ledges, go into the pit, and then go straight in the throne room and get the artifact.

....

HELLO? IDIOT?? THATS NOT GOING TO WORK!?!

Naturally, they didn't get the artifact.

So I guess my strategy would be

- if the artifact is either in the central column of rooms, or the ones next to it, don't try and go straight there.

Yeah, but then there are the times when it does work exactly as the teams plan (Shaka Zulu).

After grabbing the artifact, just go straight across the top of the three-tier level. DON'T GO DOWN! YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE! Aw, too late.

Oh, yeah, only listen to Kirk shout orders during the run 50% of the time.

Correction. There is the time. Once, and it was (presumably) a production error. The only way these strategies could be used would be if the show comes back (lets hope), at which point the door system will be all high-tech and probably won't falter like that.

What's up with that anyway? Why can't they ever get out through the bottom? The Ledges?

I remember one time, it was faster for the kid to go through The Chamber of the Sacred Markers, so sometimes the second tier might be best

But consider your options! You can either get down on your hands and knees and crawl through two tiny doors, or you could bound up and down two small sets of stairs. I'd instinctively take the top-most route.

I would too, but with a running head start, the first one wouldn't be too hard to dive through, and you're also worn out, so climbing stairs could be harded

If the artifact is in the Mine Shaft / the Well / the Dungeon / the Quicksand Bog, and you retrieve it, climb the damn ladder and take the upper route.
