Olmec's Lighting Pattern
« on: February 02, 2007, 06:33:54 PM »
Okay, I've got lots of questions now.

In S3, how many episodes does Olmec have the weird golden glow?

And, as evident in this pictures:

Olmec still had a glow during the temple run. Why is this so? Which episodes did he have the glow during the temple runs?

:?  :?  :?  :?  :?

Phew...a lot of questions!

Olmec still had a glow during the temple run. Why is this so?

That was the Silver Horseshoe run, if I'm not mistaken. That was the first time  the gate was crossed with the new entrance and Olmec position, so there was probably no "standard procedure" for lighting when that happened. Remember also that the early Season 2 episodes had notoriously bad camerawork and technical issues; if the lighting man missed his cue, or was simply not instructed what to do, I would not be surprised.

...About the "golden glow," compare Olmec's look in The Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror with The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen. It's a lot easier to tell on TV, but you should be able to see how much yellower Olmec is in the Battle Flag episode.

I've linked to Renegade's YouTube videos for reference.

Yes, it's the Silver Horseshoe. Had a look at Renegade's video on "The Silver Horseshoe of Butch Cassidy". Olmec hummed and he was still lit. And when the clock was at 52 seconds, it is the same view.

There's only four Season 3 episodes in which Olmec has his golden glow: The Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror, The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain, The War Fan of the 47 Ronin, and The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack.

These were the first four episodes of Season 3, but the idea of the golden glow was scrapped and he went back to his orange glow for the rest of the season.
If you have seen all 120 full episodes of Legends, copy and paste this into your profile for all to see.
