Kirk: As the quest continues, it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about Monopoly?s Lost Tokens. Guys, your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple. So pay close attention.
Olmec: One the greatest board games world-wide is game Monopoly. Created in 1904 by Lizzie Magie, it was first called The Landlords Game. Later in early 1930s, George and Charles Parker, founders of the game company called Parker Brothers, bought all rights to the game and changed it to Monopoly. Legend has it that the brothers had a tough time deciding which tokens to use for the board game.
George: ?Lets see we have a battleship, a horse and rider, a bottle cap, a thimble, a watch, a dog, an iron, a top hat, a car, and a shoe.?
Charles: ?That?s a little too much. We need to get rid of two.?
George: ?Do you have an idea how to do that??
Charles: ?Lets draw lots, and the first eight we choose will be used in the game.?
Olmec: One by one, George and Charles drew, until all eight were chosen.
George: ?Alright, it?s settled. Theses are the eight we?ll use in Monopoly.?
Charles: ?Such a shame for the bottle cap and the watch. They would have been a great use in the game.?
Olmec: Soon, Monopoly was shipped all over America, and then the world. As for the two tokens that weren?t chosen, they were lost never to be found again?until today. Your task is to retrieve Monopoly?s Lost Tokens and bring them back here.
Kirk: Thank you Olmec. Can you tell us where the they are?
*Camera shows the tokens, and zooms out to show its location*
Olmec: Monopoly?s Lost Tokens can be found in the Silver Bell Sanctuary.
Kirk: Teams, you are standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question about the legend you just herd. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you?re right, you?ll move down to the next level. If you?re wrong or run out of time, I?m going to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec?s Temple. (To Olmec) Olmec, we are now ready for your first question.
