Tomorrow, 9/29/06, 6:00PDT. This site. No guarantees whether the head of the website told me the truth or not, bit if all goes well, he'll be interviewing Kirk fogg live.

The guy said he might put up an MP3 recording of the interview on the site in the future. "Stay tuned," so to speak.

WOW, what an interview! I hope you guys all got a chance to listen to it. HEre are some inportant facts that we've learned...

--Kirk Fogg is his legal name.
--Kirk Fogg ran through the temple at the beginning of each season for fun. He won all three times, but wanted to throw up afterwards. He didn't have to worry about temple guards.
--Olmec's mouth had tear in first season.
--First show took 18 hours to tape, and was only one taped that day.
--Usually, four episodes were taped in a day.
--Kirk Fogg has no memorabilia from show.
--Somebody vomited in Pit of Despair one episode while doing the temple run. Had to towel her off, then made her keep going (for editing purposes).
--Kirk doesn't watch Legends often at all.
--Kirk was born in LA.
--He's making a new movie that takes place in Paris.
--He hates the first season for his performance and his shorts, as opposed to jeans.
--Has two sons: Jake and Luke Fogg. One four years old.
--Loves the Go-Gos
--One particular moat took 45 minutes to tape.
--Kirk attributes success of Dee Baker to himself.

Phew! That's almost everything. The interviewer said he'd have an MP3 file of the interview later. Very cool interview, no?

Yeah, sure Kirk won all three temple runs. I bet the artifact was never in the central shaft.

The interview was very funny.  Later on, Kirk joked about the girl's vomit being an artifact, calling it "The Vomit Bag of Sarah Paulson" and "narrating" the story as Olmec.  No idea if that was a contestant's actual name or not ...I guess the only other way to tell which episode it was from would be to look for choppy editing in the pit.

Other highlights:
He liked the Silver Snakes, calling them a "scrappy, working class" team representing the proletariat.
He didn't get to take home prizes that the contestants failed to win.
Everyone, including audience members and cameramen, yelled directions at confused temple runners.
Not only is he a fan of the Go-Gos, he dated a band member.
His rivarly with that bastard Mike O'Malley.
Kirk will never die, thanks to the powers of Olmec.
Someone FINALLY picked up "Distortion" for distribution.  Kirk said it will be out on video early next year.

And I'm glad someone finally said it in the public arena: Kirk Fogg is the greatest name ever.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

--Kirk attributes success of Dee Baker to himself.

Does this mean credit goes to Fogg, or Baker?  If it's to himself, was he joking?  I don't get it.

I want to listen to the interview.  I am very intrigued as to how they got him on the show.

Kirk joked around saying that if it weren't for himself (Kirk Fogg), Dee Baker would never have become so successful, because Kirk insists that he (Kirk Fogg) convinced him (Dee Baker) to look for carreer opportunities outside of Orlando, Florida. Does that make it more clear? :P

Also worthy of mentioning... None of the crew members knew the show was not returning for a fourth season. As a result, Kirk couldn't get any props from the show because he wasn't aware his contract was up. Note that this completely quelches the supposition that the Chandragupta episode was the last because of Kirk not saying goodbye. He didn't know whether it was his last episode or not at the time.

Thanks for the clarification.

I wonder if he ever gets sick of talking about Legends.

If I saw him, in person, I would LOVE to ask him so many questions about the show, but it was ten plus years      ago and he's moved on, and I'm sure he wouldn't want to talk about the past.
