I think we can move onto our next team, which will be the Green Monkeys. The top three teams that everyone felt that should be given a second chance were the Mummified Hand ( 8 ), Red Sash ( 8 ), and Hans Holbein ( 8 ) teams.

Next team we will cover will be the Green Monkeys. I will set up the poll with the teams in a few minutes. ;)

This was a pretty tough choice because a lot of these teams were good enough for a second chance, but I went with Lost Fountain of Youth, Ivan the Terrible, and Belle Boyd.

Lost Fountain of Youth - Even though they were kind of a slow team and didn't take shortcuts, the temple guard layout was very unfair. They probably would've won if they started in the Cave of Sighs and met all three guards. I don't think a team should ever have to suffer like these two did.

Ivan the Terrible - This one was pretty obvious. Travis and Elisa were flawless in the temple, and they still got robbed by the temple layout. They would've won in almost any other layout!

Belle Boyd - This one was pretty much like "Ivan the Terrible" also. Leah and Matthew were great players that were shafted by a hard layout. Even if they didn't take the most direct path, they put up a great effort.

I would've given  the "Robert the Bruce" and "William Tell" players a second chance if they didn't suck so much in the temple. Since their temple layouts were hard too. But the three teams above were more deserving of a second chance.

Discarded Seal, Belle Boyd, and William the Conqueror. I would've chosen Ponce de Leon, but James and Jessica were so slow that they didn't deserve another chance to be honest.

Ponce De Leon, Discarded Seal, and Belle Boyd for their difficult layouts alone. I was tempted to pick Mystical Spellbook in Ponce De Leon's place because that layout was difficult too, but Ponce De Leon had the cheap temple guard placements.

The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible - Easy choice.  Easily one the most difficult layouts ever, but they still damn nearly did it.

The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd - While Leah and Matthew and weren't the best team ever, they were still a great team.  The biggest reason I chose this is because the layout was so difficult that I doubt they would've beaten it even if they had taken the most efficient path.  They probably would've gotten to the bag, but not out with it.

The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce - Christine and Jeremy were actually a pretty decent team, and their only real big mistake was missing the half-pendant (though Jeremy really should've won the other half in the Temple Games).  Plus, even if that hadn't been a problem, the layout would've screwed them anyway.

Ivan the Terrible and Belle Boyd were pretty obvious choices for me since both teams were fast, strong teams who faced gruelingly long layouts. For my third choice, I went with Empress Theodora because the team came within inches of the artifact, but did not reach it due to the Mineshaft elevator stalling.

For my first two choices, I'm going for Ivan the Terrible and Belle Boyd, for the same reasons everyone else stated. For my third choice, I'm going for the Mystical Spellbook. Its layout was dickish (what's with Season 3 and dickish layouts?), and it featured a strong team. I considered picking Ponce de Leon, but decided not to because the team was kind of slow.

The results were a little more spread out this time. But the three teams that were voted to give a second chance were the Ivan the Terrible (7), Belle Boyd (7), and Lost Fountain of Youth (3) teams.

The next team will be the Orange Iguanas. Give me a few minutes to edit the poll and set it up. ;)

The poll is set and my three choices went to Dead Man's Hand, Dolley Madison, and Useless Map.

Dead Man's Hand - Sarah and Josh were not a bad team at all, they got stuck with a bizarre layout. First off, why didn't any of the central shaft rooms not open? And secondly, this team was forced to take a very rare path up from the Swamp. No other S1 team ever had to do that. Plus, the lighting in their temple run sucked. I can guarantee that they would've done better on any other production day.

Dolley Madison - This team was much better than the outcome of the run. Both players were solid and if they had almost any other temple layout, they would've won.  Probably the best losing Orange Iguanas team.

Useless Map - Their temple run was cut short after traveling through 5 rooms. Since they only had one pendant, they had no choice but to avoid one guard. Hallie and Jared looked like a good team though, and the triple capture was hardly their fault. They might've actually reached the Dark Forest if their time wasn't cut short. I would like to see this team give a second chance.

I voted for Dead Man's Hand, Ali Baba, and Useless Map. The first two for the unfair layouts and possible door malfunctions, and Useless Map for the unfair temple guard layout with just one pendant from a good team.

Dead Man's Hand: The producers must have expected too much out of these guys, I swear.

Ali Baba: I'm thinking a malfunction screwed this team over. The door to the Treacherous Swamp was initially closed, then it opened back up a bit before Kendra returned to the Throne Room. I'm willing to bet they would've at least made it to the artifact otherwise.

Useless Map: I remember considering this the most unfair loss in Legends at some point. Not sure if it would still qualify, but either way, what made this unfair was the Temple Guard placement. If only they started in the Ledges!  :(

I voted for Dead Man's Hand, Golden Stallion, and Useless Map. My reasons:

Dead Man's Hand: Their layout was just impossible. The production crew expected way too much out of this team.

Golden Stallion: Another team that got screwed over because of a possible production error. They should've gotten another chance.

Useless Map: This has got to be the most unfair triple capture ever, though Hallie should've entered the King's Storeroom instead of the Tomb. It's not that she was taking a direct path, she just didn't want to waste time climbing the Pit walls ala Veronica. Not a bad team at all, they were just unlucky.

The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain - The easy choice this time around.  While one of the three guards encountered was mostly due to bad strategy, another of the three was just bad luck.  Plus, bad luck in the third Temple Game was the only reason they didn't have both pendants of life.  Hallie and Jared were a really good team that just got unlucky in a few places.

The Golden Stallion of Ali Baba - There did seem to be a production error that made them think the Throne Room-Swamp door was locked, which screwed them over.  Having the run ruined due to faulty doors warrants a second chance.

The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed - Of the teams left, I feel like Angela and Chris screwed up the least.  They were actually a good team, just a few seconds too slow.  And it didn't help that riding the elevator forced them to waste 20 seconds.

Time to end the Orange Iguanas poll and move onto our next team. The three Orange Iguanas teams that everyone felt that could use a second chance would be Useless Map (7), Golden Stallion (5), and Dead Man's Hand (5).

The next team will be the Purple Parrots.
