If you could give three losing teams a chance in the temple, which three teams would you give it to? For this series of polls, I am going to hold a daily poll every day for all the losing temple teams for each team color. You must pick 3 teams you believe that deserve a second chance in the temple. Maybe it was because the team got robbed due to something out of their control, or maybe the team didn't show their true potential. Or maybe the team was really good and would've won in different circumstances.

Results:

Red Jaguars
1. Katherine and Sean ("The Golden Cup of Belshazzar") - 8 votes
2. Lissy and Nate ("The Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea") - 7 votes
3. Gabby and Joe ("Elizabeth I's Golden Ship") - 5 votes

Blue Barracudas
1. Brandy and Quentin ("The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu") - 8 votes
2. Keith and Rachel ("The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein") - 8 votes
3. Maggie and Josh ("The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King") - 8 votes

Green Monkeys
1. Travis and Elisa ("The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible") - 7 votes
2. Leah and Matthew ("The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd") - 7 votes
3. James and Jessica ("Ponce de Leon and the Lost Fountain of Youth") - 3 votes

Orange Iguanas
1. Hallie and Jared ("The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain" - 7 votes
2. Kendra and CJ ("The Golden Stallion of Ali Baba") - 5 votes
3. Sarah and Josh (" Wild Bill Hickok and the Dead Man's Hand") - 5 votes

Purple Parrots
1. Chandra and Nick ("The Leopard-Skin Cloak of Annie Oakley") - 7 votes
2. David and Eusinia ("King Tut's Cobra Staff") - 6 votes
3. Derek and Sherra ("The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson") - 5 votes

Silver Snakes
1. Jeremy and Elise ("The War Fan of the 47 Ronin") - 7 votes
2. Tina and Robbie ("The Pendant of Kamehameha") - 6 votes
3. Michael and Emily ("The Missing Eye of David" - 5 votes

Which 3 teams would you give a second chance to starting with the Red Jaguars? I will post my opinion in the next post. ;)

The three Red Jaguars team I would give a second chance to would be the Queen Boadicea, Belshazzar, and Golden Ship kids.

Lissy and Nate were a pretty obvious choice. They were a very strong team throughout and were the closest to pulling off a bottom of the central shaft win. I would totally like to see them have a second go at the temple. They probably would've won in most temple layouts.

Katherine and Sean also deserve a second chance after that bitchy layout. It was not their fault they hit the production error in the Harmonic Convergence. And they looked like a good team too.

The last choice was kind of hard, but I thought Gabby and Joe should get a second chance. They were very slow, but I thought that only traveling through 4 rooms is kind of a rub in the face. Even if it was kind of their fault. They might've not won with a second chance, but at least they would have more time to prove themselves.

Truth be told, a lot of these Red Jaguar teams didn't deserve a second chance. Most of those teams were just plain bad. But I ultimately chose "Belshazzar," "Royal Torque," and "Napoleon" as my teams. My reasons behind those choices:

Belshazzar: Their possible production error and brutal layout, enough said.
Napoleon: Brian and Carly were so close to winning, and I liked seeing them in the temple. Though Carly should've taken more shortcuts.
Royal Torque: Lissy was pretty slow, but Nate did great. If only they had more time, then it would've been a bottom central shaft victory.

Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea - This is an easy one for me.  Overall, I think Nate and Lissy were probably the best Red Jaguars team in the Temple...pretty much ever.  Maybe you could argue Kris and Kristin from The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great, but other than that, it's not even close.

The Golden Cup of Belshazzar - I had three teams in consideration for the last two spots, but I chose this team because they were more screwed by a brutal layout (which may or may not have been a production fault) than their own mistakes.

The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon - While this really should have been a win, or at least closer to a win, I feel like Brian and Carly did the best to deserve a second chance

I went with Royal Torque, Belshazzar, and Golden Ship. I wanted to pick Stone Marker as well, but I wanted to pick the other 3 more.

Golden Cup of Belshazzar- Sean and Catherine got caught in a pretty brutal dead end in the Harmonic Convergence, which ate up more than a minute from their run. When Sean entered the Treasure Room, it appeared that that room was locked as well. Even with that delay, they still did a decent job. I would have loved to see how they did in the temple if they didn't run into any dead ends.

Elizabeth I's Golden Ship- Gabby and Joe may have moved rather slowly in the four rooms they entered, but the temple guard layout and absence of a visible half pendant warrants a second chance in my mind.

Keys to the Alhambra- After Steve was removed in the Tomb of the Ancient Kings, the golden doors leading to the temple guard's hideaway and to the Shrine were left open. Lisa found the key in the room and tried in on the appropriate door, but since the Shrine door was already  ajar, she retreated back to the Pit. (The alternative is that the Tomb of the Ancient Kings was a two-room-long dead end, which would have been equally unfair.) Either way, I think Lisa was unfairly not able to show her full potential in the temple, so I would give this team a second chance.

Note: The reason I did not select the Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea is because that team already had the ability to show their full potential in their run. Nothing about their run went terribly wrong, and Nate was given access to the Dark Forest directly from the Shrine. They reached their artifact and were seconds away from a victory already.

And I am going to end the Red Jaguars poll right here. It looks like the three winners are Belshazzar ( 8 ), Queen Boadicea (7), and Golden Ship (5).

I am going to set the poll next for the Blue Barracudas.  :mrblue:

The three Blue Barracudas teams I would give a second chance to: Atahualpa, Red Sash, and Mummified Hand.

Atahualpa: They were the only Blue Barracudas failed escape team. Chris looked like a pretty good frontrunner, despite detouring into the Heart Room. Tracy did a good job following up on Chris' path too. I would like to see them get a second try.

Red Sash: This team's layout was very hard. Even though Quentin and Brandy hesitated too much, they were still a great team. They probably would've won in almost any other temple layout. Which is why I think they should get a second chance.

Mummified Hand: I am sure if Maggie and Josh were given a second chance, they would've fared better. The whole pendant dropping incident probably messed their strategy up. It was an honest mistake and they would've probably done better if that never happened.

I was thinking of giving the "Stone Head" team a second chance due to how unfair four snakes Medusa's Lair was. Then I remembered how awful Tony was in the King's Storeroom and how much time he spent in Medusa's Lair. They didn't really deserve it.

My 3 votes: Mummified Hand, Red Sash, and Hans Holbein.

Mummified Hand for the dropped pendant. I didn't think this team was bad. They definitely deserve a 2nd chance.

Red Sash for the layout. This team was pretty good too.

Hans Holbein for the impossible layout. Again, I didn't think this team was that bad. They would've done better with a Gwalior-like layout.

The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King - For me, this is the easy one.  Simply put, I'd like to see how they would've done had it not been for the dropped pendant.  I'd personally go so far as to say they might have won.

The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein - Keith and Rachel were actually pretty good, but their layout would've been too much even for some of the best teams ever.  I think they deserve a second chance with an easier layout (Not too easy though.  They still have to earn it.)

The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu - I was going between this and The Electrified Key of Benjamin Franklin.  I decided Brandy and Quentin were a better team because they were even closer to the artifact with a significantly tougher layout, even though they did tack on an extra room.

Mummified Hand, Red Sash, and Hans Holbein. I was almost gonna say Electrified Key, but I figured the other three teams deserved it more.

Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu- The run was filled with many peculiar things, from the delayed guards in the King's Storeroom and Secret Password to Quentin's early entry into the temple to Olmec's eyes glowing red in the middle of the run. This team was able to make it into the room of the artifact, despite a long path. This was my last choice because Brandy had the ability to either complete the Silver Monkey and avoid the Secret Password or to pass up the Silver Monkey and go directly into the Secret Password, but instead completed the Silver Monkey and went into the Secret Password, thereby using up unnecessary time completing both rooms. Still, it was a hard-fought effort, and they came so very close to the Red Sash.

Mummified Hand of the Egyptian Queen- Maggie's dropping of her pendant was completely accidental, and what is even more incredible about this run is that Josh was able to find it in the Pit. His decision to go straight into the King's Storeroom was wise, but it unfortunately led him on a path that avoided the other half pendant. Had their pendants worked in their favor, they definitely would have reached the Mummified Hand (at least).

Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein- Rachel and Keith faced a ridiculous layout that would have ended up forcing them into at least 11 of the rooms of the temple. By entering the Crypt, they encountered a temple guard and would have had to have entered every room to get to the Portrait. That would have been crazy. Even with the brutal path, they still got to the Dark Forest. I would have liked to see how they would have fared with a different layout.

Note: I was thinking about selecting Lost Logbooks of Magellan instead of Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu because of the Room of Harmonic Convergence dead end and the seemingly absent half pendant. Another reason I was considering that team was that even with the amount of time the dead end took up, they still would have had enough time to reach the artifact if they weren't caught in triple capture.
