I finally finished my Lost Taj Mahal Turban review. It was actually not a bad episode and I have no problems with it at all. Except for the legend. Other than that, this episode is pretty good.
THE LOST TAJ MAHAL TURBAN OF AURANGZEB
MOAT: 8/10
In front of the six teams was a giant lilypad and vines hanging from the ceiling. Both players had to mount themselves onto the lilypad and pull themselves across with the use of the vines. Both teams had to stay on their lilypads together though and once both players reach the other side, then they can hit their gongs to go onto the next round. I liked the idea used for this moat, and it placed emphasis on team work. The moat crossing went by pretty fast too, so it didn't drag on with the last team getting across. The Purple Parrots made it across first, the Silver Snakes second, Blue Barracudas third, and the Green Monkeys were the last ones to clock in.
LEGEND: 3/10

One of the most fearful emperors of them all was the Indian Emperor, Aurangzeb. He did away with his two brothers to become heir to the throne and locked his father away for 15 years. Legend has it that Aurangzeb had a soft spot for the Taj Mahal, which was built by his father for his mother. He embroidered the building onto his favorite turban, in which he wore it everyday. One day, Aurangzeb was looking around his room for his missing Taj Mahal Turban, but it was no where to be found. Just then, the evil Grand Bazaar Needmore Rupees appeared. Needmore Rupees suggested that Aurangzeb get another turban made, but he only wanted his Taj Mahal Turban. Just then, a young woman appears at the door named Irene of Genie appeared at the door and stated that Needmore Rupees stole the Taj Mahal Turban and sold it to a collector, along with other prized possessions belonging to Aurangzeb. Aurangzeb got his Taj Mahal Turban back and appointed Irene to the title of Grand Bazaar. The Lost Taj Mahal Turban eventually made its way to the temple.
This episode featured a pretty ridiculous legend. The plot was full of nonsense and the voice acting and characters were lame and made-up. The legend started out interesting with it talking about Aurangzeb being ruthless, but then it just got plain silly. The name Needmore Rupees is obviously fake and sounds absurd. Irene of Genie was also pretty lame, and I doubt they had CPA's back during those times.

The voice acting was lame too, and this story was just ridiculous.

STEPS OF KNOWLEDGE: 9/10
After having a pretty crappy legend, we get a close and competitive Steps of Knowledge round. I don't mind Steps of Knowledge rounds where a lot of questions are asked and they are all correct answer. If you can tell from the picture, all four teams were very close to the bottom step. And none of the answers they gave out had a wrong answer either. The Purple Parrots made it down to the bottom first, while the Green Monkeys answered their last two correctly to move onto the temple games.
TEMPLE GAMES: 6/10
The temple games featured
Chrystine, who liked to play football and wanted to be a novelist, and her partner
Dean, who liked to play baseball of the
Green Monkeys. Their rival team included
Jennifer, who wanted to be a pediatrician one day, and her partner
Chad, who liked the play baseball and own a team one day for the
Purple Parrots. Nothing much to say about this temple games round, except that one player from each team won their individual games, while the Green Monkeys won the team game. The temple games also featured some of the most common ones from S3. Other than that, I have nothing else to say here.
Temple Game #1 - Defend the Royal Guards
In the first temple game, Dean and Chad had to protect their Royal Guards from being knocked down by their opponent. Behind each guy were four Royal Guards. There were two giant boulders on the field and each player had to take their boulder and knock down their opponent's Guards. At the same time though, they had to protect their own Guards from being knocked over by their opponent. The team that knocks down all four guards or the team with the most knocked down guards after 60 seconds will win. In the end, the Purple Parrots win with a score 2-1.
Temple Game #2 - Thread of Pain
In the second temple game, Chrystine and Jennifer had to collect Aurangzeb's four turbans while avoiding the "Thread of Pain" (swinging boulder). The girls were not allowed to have the swinging boulders touch any part of their body. If a boulder does touch them, they had to start over again and drop their turban. The girl to get four turbans into their team bin first or the one with the most turbans after 60 seconds will win. Chrystine won at the very last second when she placed her third turban into the team bin with a score of 3-2.
Temple Game #3 - Stones in the Quarry
The two players on each team had to work together to collect stones to build the Taj Mahal. One player had to run out and grab a stone and throw it over their head. Their partner had to run out and grab a stone and place it in their team bin. Both players had to synchronize themselves while running out though as one player can mess up their partner if they don't time themselves correctly. The player with the most stones in their bin after 60 seconds will win. In the end, the Green Monkeys had more stones in their bins and gave them a total 1.5 pendants into Olmec's temple.
TEMPLE RUN: 6/10

The Green Monkeys were just an average team in the temple, but their temple run was cut short due to Chrystine missing the half-pendant. As a frontrunner, Dean was kind of slow and hesitant. He wasted too much time in rooms like the Chamber of the Sacred Markers and Room of the Ancient Warriors. He was taken out in the Shrine as he was placing the base of the Silver Monkey in the front of the room. With a 1:06 left, Chrystine follows Dean's path. She failed to find the half-pendant in the Pit of the Pendulum that was tacked high above the Chamber door. She actually tried looking for it though, so it's not like Chrystine didn't know that it was not there. Instead of wasting more time trying to find the half-pendant, she runs through the cleared rooms all the way to the Shrine. It only takes Chrystine 8 seconds to assemble the Silver Monkey. Granted, Dean helped her assemble part of it. She was forced to enter the Quicksand Bog though and her run ended as she met her final temple guard. Not much to say about this run or team except that this team wouldn't have won even if they found the half-pendant. It was a good effort though, and it was one of the more tolerable triple captures.
FINAL VERDICT: 6.4/10
"Lost Taj Mahal Turban" was pretty much an above average episode that is forgettable. While you might forget that this episode exists sometimes, at the same time though it is a pretty enjoyable watch. The only bad part about this episode is the legend. The plot is nonsense and the characters and voice acting were a joke. Other than that, the other rounds of this episode were good and decent. The temple run did end in triple capture, but it is more forgivable than some of the other triple captures on the show. This Green Monkeys team was not bad at all, and at the end of the day I enjoyed this episode and it is definitely worth rewatching. Of course I would recommend this episode to anyone, but just don't expect something really special or exciting.
