Why is everyone giving me a hard time for eliminating Lucky Medallion?? You don't see me complaining that Enormous Nose Ring got taken out before it do you? To me, that was the best run of Season 2. >.>

A lot of people place "Atocha" at the top of their list when it comes to the best temple wins on the show. Personally, its one of the my top 10 favorite wins on the entire show. But I understand that not everyone likes the same wins, so I don't try to give anyone a hard time on some of their choices.

Personally, I am not a fan of  "Nose Ring" at all because Joel could've easily had beaten "The Mask of Shaka Zulu" record but instead he took half a minute in the Shrine and took the worst possible way out of the temple. But I can understand if someone else likes it because, in his favor, he destroyed the bottom floor of the temple and didn't encounter a single temple guard. Hell, it use to be one of my top 5 wins at one time.

Yeah, Nose Ring is great in its own way, but to me, it just doesn't stand out with wins like Lawrence of Arabia and Lost Hornpipe. It's a good win, but like TRJ said, it could've been better had Joel not made those mistakes.

Quick question about Nose Ring. Would we be calling it one of the best runs ever had Joel not had those little blunders?

I think so in a way. I mean had Joel didn't take so much time assembling the monkey and took the Troubled Bridge out of the temple, then he could've had around 2:00 minutes left on the clock. His win would've put "Shaka Zulu" to shame. On top of that, it would even be more memorable for not having any temple guards encounters. But honestly, I don't think it would still trump the likes of "Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress", "Pirate Captain", "Annie Taylor", "Bandit Queen", or "Apanuugak". Those runs are praised for more than just their temple layouts.

As fast as Joel was, I think it would be a stretch to say he'd have 2:00 left on the clock. I'd say without taking his sweet time assembling the monkey and using the Troubled Bridge exit, he'd probably have about 1:30 or so left on the clock. It would be much more memorable sure, but like TRJ said, it still wouldn't get the same recognition the likes of "Bandit Queen" and "Apanuugpak" get.

The voting is over and the winner is............The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor! Wow, Applewood Amulet got shutout 5-0. Both runs are great, but Lucky Pillow truly is better. :mrblue:

Yup, The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor wins by a landslide! It deserves to win, it's hands down one of the best victories in the shows history. I really don't see why some people don't like it. And I don't know why people nitpick it just because "she took a direct path" and how she wasn't as fast as Gator or Zac. It's a wonderful win and it deserves all the praise it gets. The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata is a great win too, but I like Lucky Pillow more. And what a coincidence that those 2 episodes were filmed on the same day.

Final rankings:
#1: The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
#2: The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
#3: The Milk Bucket of Freydis
#4: The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus
#5: The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan
#6: The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl
#7: The Very Tall Turban of Ahmed Baba
#8: The Lucky Medallion of Atocha
#9: The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid
#10: The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon
#11: The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe
#12: The Bonnet of Dolley Madison
#13: The Leopard Skin Cloak of Annie Oakley
#14: The Broken Wing of Icarus
#15: The Missing Eye of David

My thoughts on which order it should've gone in coming soon.

Not surprised to see "The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor" win -- that run got my vote to win this competition. This is a very exciting run from the beginning to the end. Missy may have not been the fastest girl on the show, but she moved well enough and was smart to reach the Lucky Pillow. Like PPF said, so what she wasn't Gator or Jarrid fast and smart? The team earned their temple win. I don't see how she compares to Paula either. Missy was the first person and one of two people to achieve a victory from the center of the temple. How many other victories on the show were there when the artifact was in this room space? And her ending is much more memorable than Paula's also. This team earned their win.

I liked "Emiliano Zapata" also, and Olivia-Emma was very strong in her episode. The one second finish is also exciting too, but you gotta love "Annie Taylor" and nothing can really top it in season two.

Here is my personal opinion

Final rankings:
#1: The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor (Yes!!!!)
#2: The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata (one lower)
#3: The Milk Bucket of Freydis (one lower)
#4: The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus (one lower)
#5: The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan (one lower)
#6: The Priceless Portrait of the Polynesian Girl (one lower)
#7: The Very Tall Turban of Ahmed Baba (much lower, about around the #11 just one ahead "Annie Oakley")
#8: The Lucky Medallion of Atocha (should've been #2)
#9: The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid (one lower)
#10: The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon (one higher)
#11: The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe (good)
#12: The Bonnet of Dolley Madison (lower)
#13: The Leopard Skin Cloak of Annie Oakley (one higher)
#14: The Broken Wing of Icarus (not even top 15 material. There is no excuse why this team lost in the first place. Olivia-Emma had around 20 seconds less than Jason did, and yet she brings it out of the temple. I hate this run.)
#15: The Missing Eye of David (good enough)
