Yes, that is exactly what I was going to say. Even in the very early days of the forums, very rarely did I ever see Galileo get praised even once. At least none that I remember. Jammin' Jon is never talked about, and he certainly is never praised either. If anything, he's underrated, NOT overrated. In fact, I honestly hold Galileo to the same tier as Chandragupta. Wins that are never talked about, and need more praise. Both Galileo and Chandragupta are very overlooked and very easily forgotten about. How can a run be overrated if no one ever talks about it? This all of a sudden, came out of left field hate for Galileo came from us praising it more. And some decided to hate the run just for the sake of hating it. All because it's starting to get some much needed praise. Falling under the category of "Let's hate the win everyone loves." Sure the temple run wasn't very smoothly produced, but it was one of the first ever temple runs of the show. Obviously things are gonna be a little sloppy. Despite all that, I love Galileo, and its early Season 1 quirks just makes it that much more unique and fun to watch. Jammin' Jon and Jennifer were a great team, and they deserved to win. :mrsilver:

Yeah, I love the early Season 1 quirks too. Episodes like Sultan Saladin, Lost Gold Mine, and Galileo are fun to watch because how awkward and quirky those episodes are. Kirk was at his best in those episodes, especially Lost Gold Mine.  :mrblue: I think people partly hate on them because they are Season 1 runs and feel that they are inferior to the later season wins. Nothing is ever going to make me change my opinion on these wins plus Lawrence of Arabia. They are the best of the best on the show. ;)

Also, I never understood how people thought Icarus was exciting and a "nail biter". It was more painful to watch Jason piss away all that time with his horrible temple strategy. It is exactly like Broken Trident's run, but no one ever says anything good about Kimberly. I hate his run just as much as Kimberly's performance.

I agree, Lawrence of Arabia, John Sutter, and Galileo are hands down the best Season 1 wins. So what if it had shoddy production? The latter two wins moreso than Lawrence of Arabia, which was almost at Season 2 quality. You can't expect everything to be of Season 3 quality. I'll gladly praise Galileo, the same way we praise Candragupta. Which is something very few people have ever done before. ;)

And I completely agree about Icarus. How can anyone consider it an "exciting nail biter?" It was very frustrating from start to finish. Like Kimberly from Poseidon, Jason had a cupcake layout handed to him on a silver platter, but blew it. And some people like to praise Poseidon because "it was good until Kimberly dropped the artifact." Honestly, I thought Poseidon was incredibly dull from beginning to end, and Kimberly was just average at best. Neither runs warrant any kind of praise, at all.

I totally agree about Kimberly and Poseidon. I have seen many people say that Kimberly was "doing a pretty good job before reaching the Shrine." But she moved kind of slow all the way to the Shrine. I mean TJ and Randy reached the Metal Beard with almost the exact same time as Kimberly, and their temple run was a team effort and successful. If Kimberly did win, it would've been another Dr. Livingstone victory that no one cares about. And I never understood how Icarus was thought of as a nail biter either. It wasn't like runs like Mush Pot Hat or Priceless Portrait where the players actually put a good effort to bring their artifacts despite the fact time was no on their side. Jason's layout was very convenient and he still blew it.

Not to mention, even if Jason actually DID win, it would still be forgettable, if not undeserved. Since Jason wasted so much time on such an easy layout. You can tell April was pissed after time was called. She looked like she was gonna cry at the end too. And Poseidon be a completely forgettable win if Kimberly hadn't blown it at the end. Kimberly wasn't "actually doing a good job before reaching the artifact." She was slow, average, and not impressive in the least bit. And of course she completely crossed the line into slow witted territory by dropping the artifact.

Yeah, and they're both amazing temple wins by the Green Monkeys. And those are the wins on the show that nobody should oppose to.

Yeah, all of those episodes are classic. Sir Gawain is another one that I can never hate even though I might've criticized it in the past. It might actually be my favorite Orange Iguanas episode too. Well, Atocha barely beats it out. ;) But I feel that Tiffani is another under-appreciated contestant. It feels like people have more bad than good things to say to her. I thought Tiffani was a solid contestant and can't believe she gets compared to Printing Plate's Jason or Poseidon's Kimberly. Who cares if her layout was kind of easy? She avoided temple guards my cleverly taking shortcuts and she was one of the very few contestants to make it back to the platform in the Pit. Plus, she dragged that big Helmet out of the temple in good time. She reminds me of Tarrah where people don't really appreciate the challenges she had to go through.

It's ridiculous how Tiffani is compared to Jason from Smashed Printing Plate. In some pathetic attempt to bring other peoples favorites down just to make their favorites look good. Tiffani was a great player, and very rarely ever got turned around. I always loved her temple run, even from the very first time I saw it. And she never once AT ALL backtracked to the Chamber like some people like to claim. She just went back to the back most armor to try it again. Jason outright went back to the Chamber altogether. So thus = not a detour. People just like Jason because "he assembled the monkey fast." And boom, that right there is enough to consider Jason an "amazing player." Same with Tarrah. Being compared to Jennifer from Buddha just because they had identical layouts. Tarrah was much more competent, and handled her layout MUCH better than Jennifer did. And she had a harder layout too. Plus, her run was MUCH more exciting than Buddha. Tarrah was an amazing player, Jennifer was just average.

Also, am I the only person who likes the Nostradamus run? THAT to me is the best Orange Iguanas run.

Doesn't everybody love Nostradamus? This run is exactly like Chandragupta where it doesn't get mentioned a lot, but when it does it gets lots of love. I honestly have never seen anyone say anything bad about this run, aside from outer space who hate every good win. :afro: Atocha gets criticized time from time for Ty's pendant drop and lucky path and Tiffani gets criticized for her slow speed and lucky temple guard layout. But I never see anyone say anything bad about Nostradamus. And for good reason too, because there is nothing bad to say about this run!  :mrorange: I always felt that this is one of the very few runs that never got any negative attention. Hell, isn't it TAW's favorite episode? ;)

I thought TAW's favorite episode was none other than Chandragupta. His avatar was the lion headed bracelet itself in the early days of the forum. But yeah, Nostradamus really doesn't get mentioned either. Just like Chandragupta and Galileo never did/does. The only person to say anything bad about the episode was outer space, who used to chastise Elizabeth for "taking a direct path," and Jason because "any idiot can use a leash the way he did." But yeah, I love Nostradamus. It's easily my favorite Orange Iguana episode ever. Atocha and Sir Gawain are good too, but I just find Nostradamus to be more exciting. It's yet another one that nobody can oppose, at least without a good reason. ;) :mrorange:
