Wow, this version of Legends is better than the crappy Nick GaS version.
Yeah, I know! The video is clear as uncontaminated water.

Great Seal again? As much as I love that episode, it is beyond absurd that they keep airing the same damn episode. I mean the show has 120 episodes to choose from and you can only use that one single episode? Don't even bother airing Legends then if you are going to keep that one episode.  That makes the 20-episode cycle on Nick GaS seem like an entire series.  :afro:

Airing episodes was really exciting a few years ago, but since all 120 are on YouTube, I don't even pay attention to airings anymore....

I haven't even watched an episode of Legends on YouTube in well over a year. That's how much my interest has gone down. It's too bad they keep showing the same episode every time they decide to air the show.

The one advantage of playing Legends though on TV is that it might capture new fans that might not remember the show. That's how I remembered Legends again when they played in on Nick GaS a long time ago. I remember the first episode I watched again being "The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart" because of how lost Kristen was in the temple and how Kirk and Scott were cheering for her excessively.  ;) But otherwise, I go to Youtube for all my Legends needs.

If you want, there is this one person on YouTube (tvshowkid) who does a Nick GaS 2 hour weekend block. He does a complete 2 hour block (with Nick GaS commercials added in) with 4 random Nick game shows. I've seen 2 Legends episodes this weekend on it, Lion Headed Braclet and (sigh) Walking Stick.

That's how I got into the show. I was born in 1999, and I first started watching Legends when I was about 6 or 7. It really interested me, it was the best show on Nick GAS, (probably because it aged perfectly, I mean, there is nothing in the show besides the "1994 Nickelodeon ad, and the technology based prizes that said it wasn't filmed in the 2000's.) so I really got into it and enjoyed it. I had no idea I was watching re-runs at that age (nor would I care). And I remembered having favorite episodes and waiting for episodes to come on, hoping that I hadn't already watched it.

Nick GAS re-runs is probably what brought back Guts and Figure It Out, I, like many others, caught on to Legends, but I'm sure there were many others that caught on to Guts and Figure It Out.

Now, I'm sort of un-sure on the whole "Bring Back Legends or not" debate. I don't want it to be tweaked or modernized (with all of that Nick garbage like kids getting slimed if they win) , but I would still love to see what 2015 tech could do with it. Anyway, one thing is for sure, your not going to be able to attract an audience on a once in a year basis on a post-midnight air time. They would need to show a good episode (like Lucky Pillow) during the daytime, to attract the tween audience, but that space on a kids network is so jam-packed, we would never see that unless some real-world event has a close similarity to Legends, letting them showcase a few episodes in a mini-marathon. But the chances of that are about 2%. So.....

I have the EXACT same pet peeves too about a Legends of the Hidden Temple reboot. While it will be interesting to see how the temple would look with today's standards and technology, the whole show will be watered down and become more of a "fifteen minutes of fame" kind of show rather than a fun learning experience for both the contestants and the audience. I can see most kids wanting to get on the show just to be cool and trendy. You can actually see this a lot in Season 3 where the contestants were acting in front of the camera with different gestures and faces. Not that this was a bad thing, but it got too much where it felt like the contestant cared more about being on TV than being on the show. Take Kate from the "Mysterious Manuscript" episode where she feels the need to be a camera whore most of the time.

Another thing they would probably ruin is the legends portion of the episode. Most kids nowadays probably wouldn't care for the legends portion of the show which was usually a historical recollection of a famous person or place. To be fair, I never really cared for this part of the show when I was little. But when I grew older, I enjoyed listening to these legends and learned a few things too! The new legends would probably be more like the "Snow Cone" and "Bifocal Monocle" legend where everything is made up in order to appease the audience at home. We all know most kids have a short attention span today, so having a history lesson for a plot probably won't do so good.

As for the temple, I actually think they would probably retain the "ancient theme" if they did a reboot. If they had a more high-tech temple, there is no way that it would be as fun to watch as the old temple. I would love to see some old rooms return too like the Shrine, Crypt, and Dark Forest. This is what I would look forward the most in a Legends reboot...  :mrred:  :mrred:
