This is an episode of the new Legends called Legends: Evolved. Any problem, please go to the link stated and post.

Also, no comments until the end of the episode.

Episode 127 (3x47):The Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus
The camera manoeuvers through a lot of plants and stops in front of an ancient Mayan Temple. Then, a talking stone head appears and says:
LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! (The pendant logo appears and the background shows the whole temple) With your guide, KIRK FOGG! (The pendant logo breaks into pieces) AND HERE HE IS NOW!!!!

Kirk swings in to the set and lands. He then says:
Thank you very much! Thank you! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend of each of the treasures of his temple. Which one are we gonna here about today?

Olmec: The legend of the Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus

Kirk: Oh, the Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus. Well, one of these teams will have a chance to retrieve the Missing Charts. Will it be... (The camera shows the team up close)

The Red Jaguars?
The Blue Barracudas?
The Green Monkeys?
The Orange Iguanas?
The Purple Parrots?
The Silver Snakes?

(The camera goes back to Kirk) They'll have to pass a lot of physical and mental tests, and in the end only on team will earn the right to enter Olmec's temple. But first, they'll have to cross the Moat, and Olmec will tell us how they'll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before you lies a hollow log floating in the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, the first player will roll the log to the other side, with their partner moving on top of the log. If the second player falls into the water, both of you must begin again. Once both of you are across, run over and hit the gong!

(Kirk hits the Silver Snake gong to demonstrate)

Olmec: The first 4 teams to hit their gong will go on to the next round.

Kirk: Alright. Teams! Are you ready?

(The teams indicate they're ready)

Kirk: Olmec, are you ready?

Olmec: Let's rock!

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(The teams are starting off well except for the Red Jaguars, the Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes, whose second players fell into the Moat halfway through)

Kirk: Oh, the Green Monkeys are across! And so are the Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas!

(The Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes are able to get halfway through, but the Silver Snakes fall in while the Purple Parrots hit the gong)

Kirk: We've got our 4 teams! (walks towards the Purple Parrots) Great comeback, guys. You were able to ring in on time. Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Purple Parrots, and the Orange Iguanas, and the Green Monkeys, and the Blue Barracudas.

Kirk: The Red Jaguars and the Silver Snakes made a great effort. We've got a nice gift for them, and here's what it is.

(Kirk and the teams are at the Steps of Knowledge)

Kirk: As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus, but pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to the Temple.

Olmec: One of the greatest explorers of all time was Christopher Columbus. He travelled far and wide from Spain with many ships to explore the world. One day, Queen Isabella asked him to set sail for China.  Columbus suggested to Queen Isabella to let him sail westwards to his destination.

Olmec: "Are you mad?" said Isabella. "You said so yourself the world wasn't round."

Olmec: "Exactly!" said Columbus. "I shall disprove the theory, and maybe sail to new lands if I'm lucky."

Olmec: "Don't you mean unlucky?" said Isabella. But Columbus was confident of his voyage.

Olmec: The next day, he set sail as planned. On his way across the Atlantic, he experienced fierce winds and ocean currents. Luckily, his entire crew survived. When he arrived on land, he found out that not only was he not in China. but he was on land he didn't recognise.

Olmec: "I told you this was a bad idea." said a crewman.

Olmec: "What do you know?" said Columbus. "I have sailed for years. I know what I'm doing."

Olmec: Suddenly, a group of hostile Ciguayos charged towards them with their arrows, but the crew was able to resist and he brought back 25 men back to Spain to show the Queen, who was surprised of his discovery.

Olmec: "You found new land?" asked Isabella.

Olmec: "Yes ma'am," said Columbus. "And I was very lucky to get here safely since my map charts were left at the Bay of Arrows."

Olmec: Isabella: "The Bay of what...?"

Olmec: Columbus: "It's the name of the place we were attacked."

Olmec: Isabella: "See, I warned you. But put that aside, your theory is wrong."

Olmec: Columbus: "Who cares, I found new land!"

Olmec: Soon after, a new map of the 'New World' was created and Columbus had new maps made and didn't need to go back and get his old charts which ended up in the Temple. Your quest is to find the charts and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you, Olmec. So tell us, where are the Missing Charts?

Olmec: The Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus can be found in the Chamber of the Sacred Markers.

Kirk: Teams, you're standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec's gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you’re right, you’re gonna move down to the nest level, but if you’re wrong or ran out of time, I’m gonna give the other teams a chance to answer. The first 2 teams to make it to the other level will be one step closer to the Temple. Olmec, we’re now ready for the first question.

Olmec: What country is Columbus from?
(Green Monkeys stomp in)
Female Green Monkey: Spain
Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: Nice job. Next question.

Olmec: Who allowed Columbus.....?
(Orange Iguanas stomp in)
Both Orange Iguanas: Isabella
Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: Fast response. Well done Orange. Next question.

Olmec: What was Columbus trying to disprove?
(Green Monkeys stomp in)
Female Green Monkey: That the world wasn't round?
Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: Nicely done. Next question.

Olmec: China is located in which continent?
(Green Monkey stomp in)
Both Green Monkeys: Asia!
Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: The Green Monkeys are going to the Temple Games! But we need one more team. Next question.

Olmec: Which ocean would Columbus have travelled since he travelled westwards?
(Orange Iguanas stomp in)
Female Orange Iguana: Atlantic
Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: The Orange Iguanas are one step away. Next question.

Olmec: What wa the name of the people who....
(Orange Iguanas stomp in)
Male Orange Iguana: Ciguoyas
Olmec: That is correct!

Kirk: These two teams are moving on to the Temple Games and they are the Green Monkeys and the Orange Iguanas. Come over here guys. The Blue Barracudas and the Purple Parrots are not leaving empty handed. Here's what they get.

Announcer: BK Ratch-Tek (Description)

Kirk: These two teams are gonna play for the right to enter Olmec's Temple, and they're gonna do it right after this.

(The camera pans to the Chamber of the Sacred Markers showing the Missing Charts and the pendant logo crashes and the show fades to break)

(The show is back from break and the pendant logo splits, revealing the Missing Charts)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends. Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, why don't we find out more about our teams?

Kirk: On the Green Monkeys, we have Michael who's into basketball and collects all sorts of stamps, and Monica who's a cheerleader and wants to be a scientist. Let's hear it for the Green Monkeys! (The crowd cheers for a tall, fair, blonde boy and a tall, tan, skinny girl with shoulder-length red hair)

Kirk: And on the Orange Iguanas, we have Chris who's into tennis and wants to be a pro tennis player, and Jenny who collects all sorts of hats. Do you wear any of them?

Jenny: Sometimes.

Kirk: Well, let's hear it for the Orange Iguanas. (The crowd cheers for a tall, tan male brunette and a tall, fair, blonde girl with ponytails)

Kirk: Why don't you guys get ready for the Temple Games and I'll them what's gonna happen here. In the Temple Games, teams are competing to win, yes, the pendants of life. The winning team will need those pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the Temple. There are 3 temple games, and Olmec , tell us about Temple Game #1.

Olmec: Columbus and his crew may have travelled on water, but once on land, they began to search the surroundings. They would get lost without compasses, so it's time you retrieve them for the crew. When Kirk gives the signal, run out, grab a compass, run back, and drag it into your bin. Be careful, as the crew has tied you to a wall in case you get lost and you might not get a compass. The player with the most compasses at the end of 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Let's put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(The girls are running towards the compasses but are struggling to grab one)

Kirk: This game takes speed and determination. (0:51)

(Jenny manages to get one and runs back, but Monica is trying to inch out for a compass)

Kirk: The game still can go to anyone. (0:40)

(20 seconds later, Jenny is in the lead 2-1 and running to get a third compass while Monica is running to get a second compass)

Kirk: They're doing very well here. (0:20)

(30 seconds later...)

Kirk: That's it! Time's up! Let's see what they have. Green Monkeys have 1, 2, 3 compasses. Orange Iguanas have 1, 2, 3 compasses! TBoth teams get a half pendant of life.

Kirk:The next game is worth a half pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: Whenever Columbus finds new land, he would make sure that a detailed map chart is drawn when exploring. But the map chart of the New World is much different from his other charts, and you must help him identify them. When Kirk gives the signal, crawl underneath, pop through the hole and grab a map chart. Then, pop through another hole. If the map chart is the same colour as the one you have, grab it and drop them both in your bin. Otherwise, switch the chart with the one you have. The first player to get three pairs of map charts or the player with the most map charts in 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Hope no one gets lost finding the maps. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your mark, get set, GO!

(The guys crawl and grab their first map and switch their maps a bit later)

Kirk: They're moving now. It might be evenly matched. (0:50)

(Chris finds a matching map and drops the pair into his bin, while Michael is still looking for a matching pair)

Kirk: It's all about remembering where you left the maps. (0:36)

(Michael gets a pair and drops it into his bin, followed closely by Chris)

Kirk: Things are heating up here. (0:25)

(25 seconds later...)

Kirk: That's it, time's up! (walks to the players) Nice job, both of you. Green collected 1, 2 pairs. Orange collected 1, 2 pairs. Both of them get the half pendant of life.

Kirk: So the Orange Iguanas have a full pendant, the Green Monkeys also have a full pendant. We go to the final game. It's worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about it.

Olmec: When Columbus and his crew were attacked by the Ciguoyas, they used every weapon to resist them. You, however, will have to fight them with cannonballs. When Kirk gives the signal, grab a cannonball, aim for a Ciguoya soldier and fire at him. The team who knocks down all the soldiers or the team that's further along in 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: This is for the Temple. Let's put 60 seconds on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with 60 seconds)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

(The girls start firing at the soldiers, but both miss)

Kirk: This takes concentration. (0:50)

(The guys start to fire, but Michael drops a cannonball while Chris knocks down a soldier)

Kirk: Both teams are fired up. (0:35)

(Jenny misses a soldier while Monica manages to tie the game)

Kirk: Nicely done, Green Monkeys. (0:21)

(Chris manages to knock one down, but Michael gets a double knockout)

Kirk: Whoa! A double! NOw the Green needs to knock down the last one! (0:12)

(Monica fires and hits, but the soldier remains while Jenny ties it up by knocking a soldier down just when...)

Kirk: That's it! Time's up! Whoa, you teams were neck and neck. Both managed to get three soldiers down. They both get the full pendant. So that gives them both 2 pendants, so we go to the tiebreaker.

(The spotters bring out the pedestal)

Kirk: So here's how the tiebreaker works. Olmec will ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you. You'll have 3 seconds to answer. If you're right, you and your partner will go to the Temple to retrieve the Missing Charts. But if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other team a chance. All clear? Olmec, we're now ready for your final question.

Olmec: What was the name of the place Columbus arrived on?
(Orange Iguanas bang in)
Chris: The Bay of ehm....
Jenny: Arrows.
Olmec: That is correct.

Kirk: The Orange Iguanas are going to the Temple! Nice work!

Kirk: The Green Monkeys gave a great effort. We got a nice gift for them. Here's what it is.

Announcer: A savings bond from Melody Pops (Description)

Kirk: We'll see if the Orange Iguanas can make it to Olmec's Temple and retrieve the Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus right after this!

(The camera pans away from Kirk and another camera pans from the Dark Forest to the Chamber of the Sacred Markers with the Missing Charts, then the pendant logo crashes and the show fades to break)

(The show is back from break and the pendant logo splits, revealing a painting in the Jester's Court and zooms out)

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! The Orange Iguanas have proven themselves worthy and have now earned the right to enter Olmec’s Temple, but before we get started, Olmec’s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus.

Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Knock over the column, and climb into the King's Storeroom! Smash the clay pots to find the key, that will lead you into the Chamber… of the Sacred Markers. Match the symbols on the right, to the rules on the left, and pass into the Rooom… of the Ancient Warriors! Place yourself in the correct armor, and open the door to the SHRINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room… of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog, where you could smash through to the Dark Forest… but beware the Temple Guards that may inhabit the treeeeees! Find the key in the tree and you'll enter… the Jester's Court! Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the Headless Kiiiiiings! Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the missing skull to its proper king! Then, race through the pit, CLIMB through the Ledges, rrrrrrace down the STAIRS and back through the Temple Gate! The choices are yours and yours ALONE! You won 2 pendants in the Temple Games. Who's going first?

Jenny: I am!

Olmec: Very well, Jenny. When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Sack of Riches. Hidden inside the Temple are temple guards assigned to protect 3 specific rooms. You can trade your pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple, and it will Chris’s turn to try his luck.

Olmec: If you can reach the Missing Charts, all the doors in the Temple will instantly unlock and the temple guards will vanish. Return to the gates with the Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus in 3 minutes and you’ll both be handsomely rewarded, and here’s HOW!

Announcer: First you'll get a CD-i Player! (Description)

Announcer: Grab the Charts in three minutes and you'll also receive this colour TV from Magnavox! (Description)

Announcer: If you can bring the Charts out of the Temple before three minutes is up, you'll both be going to Hawaii! (Description)

Kirk: Great prizes there. Jenny's excited. Okay, put your mouthpiece in. Lower your gate, Olmec.

(Olmec lowers the gate)

Kirk: Let's put three minutes on the clock.

(The clock bangs down with three minutes)

Kirk: On your marks, get set, GO!

Jenny races into the Temple and heads for the Crypt. (2:54) She pulls the first book, but nothing. (2:51) She pulls the second book (2:49) and heads into the Pit of the Pendulum (2:44). She swings and knocks down the column (2:39) and the door to the Tomb of the Headless Kings open. She drops and heads for the room where (2:34) "Temple Guard! Whoa, that scared her!" She pulls all the vines (2:22) and grabs the skull. She tries the king on the left, but nothing (2:17). She tries the king on the right (2:13) and the door to the Jester's Court opens. She heads there and tries the first painting (2:04), but nothing. She tries the middle painting (1:59), and the door to the Dark Forest opens. She tries the tree on the left, but nothing (1:52). She tries the tree on the right, but also nothing. (1:49). She immediately busts through the wall into the Quicksand Bog. (1:46) She tries the Shrine/Bog passage, but nothing. (1:39) She climbs up the Pharaoh's Secret Passage and enters the Room of the Secret Password (1:28). She tries the first password "Klaatu Bearda Nito!", but nothing. (1:22) She tries the second password "Open Sesame!" (1:15) and the door to the Shrine opens. She grabs the base when suddenly.... (1:11)

"Temple Guard! Go Chris, go!" He races to the Shrine in 33 seconds. (0:38) He assembles the Monkey at an average time (0:19) and heads into the Room of the Ancient Warriors. He tries the left armour and... (0:13) "Oh no!, Temple Guard! That's gonna slow them!" He tries the middle armour, but nothing (0:04) He heads for the last armour and open the door, but..... (Time's up)

Kirk: Oh! He was so close to the Chamber of the Sacred Markers! Aw! They were so close! But they made a great effort and still get the CD-i Player. We gotta go. Join us again next time on another great Legend of the Hidden Temple. Bye!

Legends of the Hidden Temple was recorded in front of a live audience in Nickelodeon studios and Universal Studios, Florida.

Temple Run Summary

The Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus

Name of Artifact: The Missing Charts of Christopher Columbus
Season: 3
Layout: 1
Pendants won: 2
Location of Artifact: The Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Result: Out of Time!

I'll say the good part first. The Orange Iguanas and Green Monkeys were fierce competitors throughout, and this is the first two-pendant tie in the show, proof of how much workmanship the players have.

Now for the bad part. Really, what were the producers thinking? Were they that cruel to re-enact the Discarded Seal run? This was very difficult, and the Temple Guard placement was horrible. Chris and Jenny were fantastic, and they were so close. If Travis and Elise were to watch this episode, they'll feel pity for these players.

Not that RJF didn't allude to it himself. ;)

I'd definitely say my tips for figuring out the right speed for the players paid off, hahah, since that part was much more realistic here than in previous episodes.  The two-Pendant tie was also a good touch to this one, too.  But one of my complaints this time is the word choices— try to find a couple substitutes for phrases such as "but nothing" if you find yourself using them several times in a row. :P
