[The camera twists its way thru the Temple, showing the temple rooms]
>>Olmec: With Your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!
[Kirk comes in thru the temple stairs]
>>Kirk: Thank you! Thank you very much! Thank you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lots of treasures that're protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards. Only Olmec knows about each of the treasures in his Temple. Which one are gonna hear about today?
>>Olmec: The legend of the Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy
>> Kirk: Oh! The Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy! Well, the legend is set, and one of these 6 teams will have a chance to retrieve the pen...
[camera panes to each of the teams in order]
>> Kirk: Will it be...
The Red Jaguars? [the blond boy & the black girl applaud along]
The Blue Barracudas? [the medium brown-haired boy & the dark brown-haired girl applaud along]
The Green Monkeys? [the dark-haired boy & the blonde girl applaud along]
The Orange Iguanas? [the blond boy & the brunette girl applaud along]
The Purple Parrots? [the brown-haired boy & the platinum-blonde girl applaud along]
or The Silver Snakes? [the dark-blond boy & the medium dark blonde girl applaud along]

>>Kirk: They're gonna have to pass thru some pretty tough, physical and mental tests, and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec's Temple. But 1st, they must cross the Moat, and Olmec's gonna tell 'em how they have to do it today.
>>Olmec: Before you hang the remains of an ancient columnnade. When Kirk gives the signal, both of you must grab onto the first platform and swing to the next one. Then, continue your way across the Moat. If either of you falls, leaves one player on the previous platform, or if a knee touches the platform, you must both go back and start again. When you have reached the other side, jump off, run over and hit the gong!
[Kirk rings the Silver Snakes' gong]
>>Olmec: The 1st 4 teams to ring their gongs will go on to the next round!
>>Kirk: Alright! Teams, are you ready?
>>Teams: YEAH!!!!
>>Kirk: Olmec, are you ready?
>>Olmec: 100 percent!
>>Kirk: Okay, teams! On your mark, get set, GO!!!
[The teams all swing onto the first platform, they're all neck-and-neck, and then Blue leaps off their platform and rings in 1st, 6 seconds later, Red, Purple and Silver all ring in simultaneously, ending the Moat with 18 seconds]
>>Kirk: That's it! We have our 4 teams right here! Silver Snakes, they got across swiftly! Goin' onto the Steps of Knowledge are the Silver Snakes! And the Purple Parrots! And the Blue Barracudas! And the Red Jaguars! The Green Monkeys & the Orange Iguanas gave it a great effort, too. They're not going away empty-handed, we've got a great gift for 'em, and here's what it is!
[Adam, Jordyn, Evan & Rachel will be getting $50 gift certificates to Pizza Hut.]

[The teams are all standing at the top of the Steps of Knowledge]
>>Kirk: As we continue our quest, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about this Golden Necklace of Acamapichtli. But teams, pay attention 'cause your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to the Temple.

>>Olmec: One of the most famous and legendary presidents was John Fitzgerald Kennedy. A former Navy officer who fought in World War II against the Japanese, the nation declared him a hero. Legend has it that after winning the 1960 election, a rebellion known as the Bay of Pigs invasion erupted. A group of Cuban exiles plotted to get the US Government's support to overthrow Fidel Castro, the dictator of Cuba. When John heard about this plan, he instantly was distraught: "What am I gonna do? Those Cubans'll be sure to take us out after they defeat Castro!" He sadly was right. They did overthrow poor Castro. It was so embarrassing that it shook the Administration, so political leader Che Guevara decided to send John a note pledging him to take action on the Cubans. But as he was writing his signature, his pen dried out. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, another conflict between the US and Cuba erupted and JFK was assassinated afterwards. The dried-out pen, however, found its way to the Temple! Your job is to find the Dried-Out Pen and bring it back here!
[camera fades back to Kirk]
>>Kirk: Thanks, Olmec. So, tell us... Where's the Dried-Out Pen?
>>Olmec: The Dried-Out Pen can be found in the SHRIIIINE of the Silver Monkey!
[camera zooms in on the Pen on the 3rd shelf, then fades back to Kirk]
>>Kirk: Okay, teams. You're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec's gonna ask you a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you're right, you'll move a step down. But if you're wrong or run outta time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer. The 1st 2 teams to make it to the bottom step will make it one step closer to olmec's Temple. Olmec, we're now ready for your 1st question.

>>Olmec: Was Kennedy president of--
[the Purple Parrot boy rings in and yells "United States!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots go down a step]
>>Kirk: Okay! They're doing good, Olmec, next question.
>>Olmec: Did Kennedy win the 1952 election, the 1948 election or the 1960 election?
[the Silver Snake girl rings in and says "1960 election"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Silver Snakes move down a step]
>>Kirk: Alright! We got a game goin'. Next question, Olmec.
>>Olmec: Was the name of the Cuban dictator
[the Red Jaguars stomp in and yell "Fidel Castro!"]
>>Olmec: That is coorrect!
[the Red Jaguars move down a step]
>>Kirk: We have a really smart group here! Next question.
>>Olmec: Was the JFK born in which of these states: Texas, Illinois or Massachusetts?
[the Blue Barracuda girl rings in and yells "Massachusetts!"]
>>Olmec: That's correct!
[the Orange Iguanas move a step down]
>>Kirk: Everybody's on the board! Next question, Olmec.
>>Olmec: Did run office from
[the Purple Parrot boy rings in and yells "1961 to 1963!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots move a step down]
>>Kirk: Great job! Now, Purple Parrots are just 1 step away from the Temple Games. It's now anybody's game, next question.
>>Olmec: Which of these countries was involved in--
[the Silver Snake girl rings in and yells "Cuba!"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Silver Snakes move to the last step]
>>Kirk: We have our 1st team goin' to the Temple Games! It's the Silver Snakes! Now we need 1 more team, who's it gonna be: The Purple Parrots, the Blue Barracudas or the Red Jaguars? Next question.
>>Olmec: Is the current capital of Cuba: Lima, Caracas or Havana?
[the Purple Parrots ring in and say "Havana"]
>>Olmec: That is correct!
[the Purple Parrots move to the last step]
>>Kirk: We have our 2 teams right here! They're the Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots! The Red Jaguars and the Blue Barracudas gave it a great effort too. They're not going away empty-handed, here's what we have for them:
[JR, Jenah, Christian and Mia will each be receiving SpongeBob: The Complete 3rd Season on DVD.]
>>Kirk: These 2 teams are gonna battle it out for the right to enter Olmec's Temple, and they're gonna do it right after this!
[the camera fades to the Ledges and then into the Pit of the Pendulum while the pendant joins together for commercial break]

[the camera is on the trampoline game equipment and then zooms out to show the contestants while the pendant logo splits]
>>Kirk: Welcome back to legends! Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest! So let's hear it for Kevin and Brianna of the Purple Parrots! And Jeremy and Ashley of the Silver Snakes! Okay, why don't you get ready for the temple games and I'm gonna tell ya what'll happen here. In the Temple Games, these teams will be competing to win Pendants of Life. The winning team will need the Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way Olmec?s Temple. There are 3 Temple Games, and Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.

>>Olmec: To sign the document about the Bay of Pigs Invasion, JFK had to sign it atop the White House! Now you must get the document up to the top of the White House. Before stand 3 levels of the White House and when Kirk gives the signal, launch yourselves to the netting, climb thru and collect the documents as you go. Then, do same for the next one until you get to the top. The 1st team to get their documents to the top or the one that's further along in 60 seconds wins!
>>Kirk: Looks like it's gonna be a climb up Capitol Hill here. Let's set 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!!!
[Brianna & Ashley jump and launch themselves using the trampolines to get thru the next level, they both get the 1st 2 documents and on the next one up, Brianna starts having trouble launching herself to the last level while Ashley gets to the final one and puts her bag on the pedestal at the top, ending the game with 28 seconds]
>>Kirk: That's it! Silver Snakes kept it quick and accurate all the way, while the Purple Parrots had more trouble. Ashley got to the top first, giving them a half pendant of life!
[the audience applauds]
>>Kirk: Don't worry, Purple Parrots. You can catch up in this next game 'cause it's worth a half-pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.
>>Olmec: When the invasion occurred, the US troops had to scramble to get to Cuba as soon as possible. You are chained to a wall, and now you must get to Cuba. When Kirk gives the signal, maneuver yourselves along the wall until you reach the slot and you can pass thru. The first team to get to the slot marked Cuba, or the team that's further along wins.
>>Kirk: Looks like we're gonna sail, and I gotta say von boyage! Let's set 60 seconds on the clock.
[0:60 appears on the bottom-right hand corner of the screen]
>>Kirk: On your mark, get set, GO!!
[Kevin & Jeremy begin moving thru the maze and going thru the metal loops while being secured to a chain; Jeremy has trouble midway, giving Kevin an opening and ending the game with 13 seconds to go]
>>Kirk: Oh, goody! Kevin made it to Cuba first when jeremy screwed up, and that was solid. The Purple Parrots get a half Pendant of Life!
[the audience applauds]
>>Kirk: It's a 1/2 pendant apiece. We now go to the 3rd and final game, which is worth a full pendant. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game 3.
>>Olmec: When the Cubans got the invasion ready, the US Navy was required to double their ships as quick as possible. Now you will have to chance to double the ships. When Kirk gives the signal, the 1st player will throw a ring to their partner, who'll then catch it, fly to the ship and drop the ring there. They'll keep alternating like that for the minute. The 1st team with 6 rings on the ship or the team with more rings in 60 seconds wins!
>>Kirk: It's anybody's game and whoever wins goes to the Temple. Let's set 60 seconds on the clock. On your mark, get set, go!
[The girls begin throwing rings to the boys in the air, on the 1st 2 attempts, Purple misses and Silver gets 1, after 3 failed tries in exactly 51 seconds, the Snakes get their 2nd ring on their tower at the last second before the Parrots can]
>>Kirk: Okay, time's up! Purple had none, whereas Silver got 1... 2 rings; which gives 'em a full pendant, making it  1 1/2 pendants; Purple Parrots had a 1/2 and the Silver Snakes are goin' into the Temple!
[The Silver Snakes cheer and clap]
>>Kirk: Purple Parrots gave it a gallant effort as well. They're not going away empty-handed, here's what we got for them.
[Kevin & Brianna will be receiving back-to-school SpongeBob accesories]
>>Kirk: We'll see if the Purple Parrots can make it thru Olmec's Temple, and retreive that Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy, and we're gonna figure it out right after this!
[the camera zooms in on the trees in the Dark Forest and then fades to commercial break]

[the camera is on the 1st wall painting in the Court while the pendant splits]
>>Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Ashley and Jeremy have proven themselves worthy and have earned the right to enter Olmec's Temple. But first, Olmec's gonna give them some information to help 'em retreive The Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy.
>>Olmec: You could start by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Knock over the column, and climb into the King's Storeroom! Smash the clay pots to find the key, that will lead you into the Chamber?of the Sacred Markers. Match the symbols on the right, to those on the left, and pass into the Rooom? of the Ancient Warriors! Place yourself in the correct armor, and open the door to the SHRINE of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room? of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog, where you could smash through to the Dark Forest? but beware the Temple Guards that may inhabit the treeeeees! Find the key in the tree and you'll enter? the Jester's Court! Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the
Headless Kiiiiiings! Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the
missing skull to its proper king! Then, race through the pit, CLIMB through
the Ledges, rrrrrrace down the STAIRS and back through the Temple Gate! The choices are yours and yours ALONE! You won 2 pendants in the Temple Games. Who's going first?
>>Jeremy: I am!
>>Olmec: Very well, Jeremy! When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way toward the Dried-Out Pen. Hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Ashley's turn to enter and try her luck. Hidden somewhere in the Temple is the other 1/2 of your pendant, if you can find it, you'll get an extra life. If you can reach the Dried-Out Pen, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the gates with the Dried-Out Pen in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:
[for just getting into the Temple, they'll win a Polaroid digital camera that allows them to take 10-megapixel photos that can be printed and shared easily, all from Polaroid]
[If they grab the Pen within 3 minutes, they'll also win a DiamondBack mountain bike. The new DiamondBack Outlook & Lustre 1: These 21-speed mountain bikes can handle trails and pavement, all from DiamondBack]
[If they can bring the Pen out of the Temple before 3 minutes're up, they'll be going to Magic Mountain! They'll stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Valencia Six Flags, with an outdoor pool and spa. Plus, enjoy all the rides at Six Flags Magic Mountain!]
>>Kirk: The Silver Snakes have a good chance, I hope. Mouthpieces in. Olmec, lower your gate!
[Olmec hums and lowers his gate and then his lights go off.]
>>Kirk: Put 3 minutes on the clock. On your mark, get set, GO!!!
[Jeremy races into the Crypt, where he goes down to the Ledges, where he meets the 1st guard with 2:49; he climbs into the pit, knocks down the column and takes 30 seconds to climb into the King's Storeroom and heads into the Chamber and completes the objective and goes into the Tomb, where he is removed with 1:16 left, Ashley goes in and follows his path and completes the Court and Forest objective before running outta time in the Bog]
>>Kirk: She got caught in the Storeroom, but she made up great time and she was only 2 rooms away. They get the camera; I know they had a great time, so did I; we gotta get outta here, we'll see you next time for another Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!
[the credit starts rolling, showing several panoramic shots of the Temple and is on the Shrine-Bog doorway where the 2006 Nickelodeon logo on the bottom part of the screen appears]
[shows Stone Stanley logo]
[Legends of the Hidden Temple was recorded in front of a live studio audience at Nickelodeon Studios in Universal Studios, Florida.]

Temple Run Summary
Episode 3: The Dried-Out Pen of John Kennedy

Season: 1
Layout: 1
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: n/a
Team: Silver Snakes
Pendants Won: 1 1/2
Location of Artifact: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey

This temple run had a really difficult design. Jeremy was almost immediately caught by a temple Guard in the Ledges, but then tried to follow and beeline the direct path to the Pen before retreating to the Storeroom and completing the entire central shaft before being removed in the Tomb. Ashley followed his footsteps but did not have a prayer in just going to the Shrine-Forest passage to have a better chance of getting the Pen. Sadly, all of this cost them their trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Trivia and Records:
The Moat in this episode was finished in record time: 18 seconds; as well as the first episode where the players' named are mentioned, but they're not interviewed.
