Legends: Rebirth-The Leather Scabbard of William Wallace

Episode 22: The Leather Scabbard of William Wallace

The camera winds and twists its way through a thick jungle of strange and exotic plants. After a few wrong turns, it finally stops in front of an ancient Mayan temple. At the base of the temple, a giant stone head sits. Suddenly, the head’s eyes light up and it begins to speak:

Legends of the Hidden Temple: Rebirth!” These words appear on the screen. “With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is now!”

A middle-aged man wearing a denim shirt and blue jeans swings in on a rope. He drops down and runs up the Steps of Knowledge, microphone in hand.

“Thank you! Thank you, everybody! Nice to see everyone again! It’s good to see you again, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple: Rebirth. The rooms are filled with lost treasures protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legends behind each of these newly discovered treasures in his temple…which one are we gonna hear about today, Olmec?”

“The legend of the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace,” Olmec replies.

“Oh, the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace,” Kirk repeats. “Well, one of our six teams will have a chance to retrieve the leather scabbard—will it be:

“The Red Jaguars?” The camera zooms in on each team as they are introduced.
“The Blue Barracudas?
“The Green Monkeys?
“The Orange Iguanas?
“The Purple Parrots?
“Or the Silver Snakes?

“They’ll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests, but in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec’s Temple. But first, they have to cross the Moat, and Olmec will tell us how they’ll have to do that today…”

Olmec begins to explain the Moat Crossing:
“Before you lies an ancient rod that has fallen across the Moat. When Kirk gives the signal, one player from each team will hang from the rod by their hands and feet, and then shinny across to the other side. Once you’re safely across, your partner will do the same. If you fall, or if any part of your body touches the water, you must go back and start again. Once both players reach the other side, run over and hit the gong.” Kirk hits the Silver Snakes’ gong to demonstrate. “The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round!”

“All right, let’s get started,” says Kirk. “Teams, are you ready?”
The six teams scream and cheer in response.
“Olmec, are you ready?” asks Kirk.
“Let’s rock the Moat,” replies Olmec.
“Okay,” says Kirk. “On your mark, get set, GO!”

The first six players, which consist of all the male team members, grab onto the rod and start crossing. Everyone except the Silver Snakes’ boy hangs by their knees instead of their feet, and that seems to make a difference, as they have a little less trouble hanging on than the Silver Snakes’ boy. “They grabbed on by their knees—that’s a good strategy for crossing!” Kirk narrates. Four teams make it across before the Silver Snakes’ boy is a little over halfway across. The Purple Parrots’ boy falls in the Moat, however, and a spotter tells him to go back. “We’ve got four teams with one person across, but they still have to get their partner across!” Kirk explains. The female members of the first four teams hang on tight to their rod, and no one falls off. The Silver Snakes’ boy successfully crosses, as does the Purple Parrots’ boy, but the girls from these two teams have no chance to grab onto the rod, as the other four teams hit their gongs in very quick succession as Kirk begins to count them. “There’s one, there’s two, three…”

“That’s it! We’ve got four teams!” Kirk shouts as he rushes over and stands beside the Orange Iguanas. “The Orange Iguanas had no problem at all getting across that Moat, and goin’ on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Orange Iguanas…along with the Green Monkeys,” Kirk pauses between each team’s name to allow applause. “And the Blue Barracudas, and the Red Jaguars! The Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes didn’t quite make it, but they did a great job, too. We’ve got a great gift for ‘em, and here’s what it is!” They receive a $50 gift certificate from Gamestop.

Kirk and the remaining four teams are now standing atop the Steps of Knowledge. “As the quest continues, it’s now time for Olmec to tell us about the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace. But teams, pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec’s Temple…”

Olmec begins to tell the story:
“One of the bravest warriors of all time was the Scottish hero William Wallace. During his lifetime, Scotland was under the rule of the brutal English king Edward the First. When William’s young wife was killed by English officials, William vowed revenge against the English, and sought to free Scotland from English rule. In 1297, William and his army won the Battle of Stirling Bridge—but it wasn’t easy. The English forces numbered in the thousands, and were highly skilled archers and swordsmen. Legend has it that William’s second-in-command, Andrew Moray, panicked.
“‘We’re vastly outnumbered, William! There’s nothing we can do to stop these bloody English!’
“‘Not here,’ replied William. ‘But we’ll have an advantage somewhere else! Follow me!’
“William led Andrew and his men to Stirling Bridge. The bridge was so narrow, only three men walking side-by-side could cross at a time. Although they were outnumbered, the Scottish forces routed the English army across the bridge. Its narrowness prevented a lot of soldiers from crossing at the same time, letting William and the Scottish army ambush them easily as they crossed. The English soldiers tried to retreat, but William had one more trick up his sleeve.
“‘Take this, you palookas!’ he shouted, and took his giant claymore sword from its leather scabbard. Then, he ran toward the soldiers, pushing them back onto the bridge. Under the weight, the bridge collapsed, and the English army fell into the river. Some drowned, and those that made it back to shore ran for their lives.
“‘That’ll teach you to mess with Scotland, you ninnies!’ William shouted. ‘Now who’s up for some haggis?!’
“For winning the Battle of Stirling Bridge, William was knighted by King Robert the Bruce, and was named the official leader of the Scottish army. William Wallace remains a testament to bravery these many years after his death, but his leather scabbard was soon forgotten—until now. Your quest is to find the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace and bring it back here.”

“Thanks for that, Olmec,” Kirk says. “But tell us, where is the scabbard?”

“The Leather Scabbard of William Wallace can be found in the Atlantean Altar,” Olmec replies. The camera zooms in on the large scabbard on the guardrail at the front of the room before fading back to Kirk.

“Ooh, the Atlantean Altar,” repeats Kirk. “Okay, teams, you’re now standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec’s gonna ask you all a question. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you. If you’re right, you’re gonna move down to the next level, but if you’re wrong or run out of time, I’m gonna give the other teams a chance to answer.” Kirk begins descending the Steps. “The first two teams to make it to the bottom will be one step closer to Olmec’s Temple. Olmec…we’re now ready for your first question.”

Olmec begins:
“Was William Wallace: English, Scottish, or Irish?”
The Red Jaguars ring in. “Scottish!”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Red Jaguars proceed onto the second step.
“Nice job, Red Jaguars,” Kirk says. “But we’ve got a long way to go…next question, Olmec.”

“In William’s lifetime, was Scotland controlled by: England, France, or—”
The Orange Iguanas ring in. “Uh…England!”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Orange Iguanas step to the second step.
“Step down, Orange Iguanas,” Kirk narrates. “Next question.”

“Which of William’s relatives was killed by the English: his wife, his mother, or his mother-in-law?”
The Green Monkeys ring in. “His wife?”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Green Monkeys join the Red Jaguars and the Orange Iguanas on the second step.
“Now the Green Monkeys have one,” Kirk explains. “Still time for the Blue Barracudas to get in this, though…next question, please.”

“Did William win the Battle of: London Bridge, Stirling Bridge, or the Troubled Bridge?”
The Red Jaguars ring in. “Sterling Bridge…?”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Red Jaguars descend to the next-to-last step.
“Nice work, Red Jaguars—they’re only one step away now!” Kirk narrates. “But remember, we need two teams…next question, Olmec.”

“To push back the English soldiers, did William—”
The Green Monkeys ring in early. “Um…he pushed ‘em back…onto the bridge?”
“He pushed them back onto the bridge,” Kirk repeats.
“Close enough for Olmec,” Olmec replies after a few seconds. The Green Monkeys hesitantly step down to the penultimate level.
“Okay, that’s good enough,” Kirk assures. “And now the Green Monkeys are only one step away! But the other two teams could still catch up. Olmec, continue.”

“When William forced the soldiers back onto the bridge, did it: sway back and forth—”
The Red Jaguars ring in. “Uh, it…collapsed.”
“That…is correct,” Olmec booms after a second of silence. The Red Jaguars jump to the bottom step and high-ten one another.
“And the Red Jaguars are our first team!” Kirk narrates. “But we’re looking for one more team. Who’s it gonna be: the Blue Barracudas, the Green Monkeys, or the Orange Iguanas? Olmec, next question, please.”

“Does a scabbard typically hold: a gun, a bow, or a sword?”
The Blue Barracudas ring in after the last answer is given. “A sword?”
“That is correct,” Olmec replies. The Blue Barracudas join the Orange Iguanas on the second step.
“The Blue Barracudas are on the board now!” Kirk exclaims. “Like I said, it’s still anyone’s game. Olmec, continue, please.”

“What king knighted William Wallace: Edward the Third, Robert the Bruce, or Ivan the Terrible?”
The Blue Barracudas ring in. “Edward the Third?”
“Incorrect,” Olmec booms.
The Green Monkeys ring in. “Robert…the Bruce.”
That…is correct!” Olmec replies. The Green Monkeys join the Red Jaguars on the bottom step, jumping up and down in excitement.

“And we’ve got our two teams!” Kirk exclaims, running over to join them on the bottom step. “They are…the Green Monkeys, and the Red Jaguars! Blue Barracudas and Orange Iguanas; come on down here, guys. You guys did a great job, too, and you’re not goin’ home empty-handed. We’ve got a great gift for you, and here’s what it is!” They receive a backpack from Outdoor Products.

Kirk is now seen standing between the Red Jaguars and the Green Monkeys. “These two teams are gonna be playing for the right to enter Olmec’s Temple, and they’re gonna do it right after this!”

As Kirk high-fives both teams’ members, the camera pans in on the Dungeon and zooms in on the entrance to the Pharaoh’s Secret Passage as the title appears onscreen, and we go to a commercial.

Legends: Rebirth-The Leather Scabbard of William Wallace
« Reply #2 on: November 01, 2009, 06:21:18 PM »
We return from the break to find Kirk standing in front of the Temple with the two remaining teams.

“Welcome back to Legends: Rebirth,” he says. “Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But first, let’s meet our teams.

“On the Red Jaguars, we have Aubrey: she enjoys playing softball and hanging out with her friends. And her partner, Chase, told me he plays football and soccer and he wants to be a lawyer—let’s hear it for the Red Jaguars!” The audience applauds for the short green-eyed girl with long black hair and the slightly taller boy with bushy brown hair and blue eyes.

“And on the Green Monkeys, we have Kristine: she told me she plays basketball and she wants to be a pediatrician. And her partner is Matt: he’s into street hockey and rock climbing, and he also likes to collect model cars—let’s hear it for the Green Monkeys!” The audience claps for the short brown-eyed girl with long brown hair and the taller boy with blue eyes and very short blond hair.

“All right, you guys, are you ready to play?” Kirk asks the two teams.

“Yeah!” they respond emphatically.

“Okay, go get ready for the Temple Games,” Kirk says. “Now, in the Temple Games, our teams are competing for…” Kirk retrieves a Pendant of Life from his pouch and holds it up to the camera. “…Pendants of Life. The winning team is gonna need these Pendants to protect them from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through Olmec’s Temple. There are three Temple Games, and in this first one…well, I’ll just let Olmec explain it…”

The black lights under Olmec come on and he begins to explain the first Game:
“When William Wallace decided to begin fighting against the English, he went from door to door, gathering up men to join him in his quest for Scottish freedom. In this game, you will be traveling a much shorter distance. When Kirk gives the signal, adjust your weight to make the giant wheel you’re standing on spin. When the wheel makes one complete rotation, it symbolizes one house that William visited in search of soldiers. The player who visits the most houses at the end of thirty seconds…wins.”

“It’s making me dizzy just thinking about this game,” Kirk jokes. “Let’s set the clock for thirty seconds, please!” The clock slams down in the bottom right-hand corner with a loud gong. “Okay, on your mark, get set—GO!”

Chase and Matt have a little trouble adjusting their weight at first, but they eventually begin to turn the giant Pendant-shaped wheel. Chase is pretty fast, but Matt leaves him in the proverbial dust. The Green Monkeys are noticeably ahead when time expires.

“Okay, that’s it!” Kirk shouts, running back onscreen. “Come on down—off the wheels, guys. Around and around they go…let’s count up the scores.” He glances back at the scorecards. “It looks like the Red Jaguars got six rotations, and…the Green Monkeys got nine rotations, so the Green Monkeys get the half Pendant of Life!” The audience applauds for a moment. “Red Jaguars, don’t worry, ‘cause you guys can catch up in this next Game. It’s also worth a half Pendant. Olmec, tell us about it…”

Olmec begins:
“To counter the skilled swordsmen of the English army, William Wallace often trained his fellow soldiers to strike when their enemies least expected it. In this game, you will have to do the same thing to defeat your opponent. When Kirk gives the signal, roll your giant boulder toward your opponents’ targets and try to knock them down. You may block your opponent’s boulder, but if you cross into your opponent’s territory, one of their targets will be set back up. The first team to knock down all four targets or…the team that knocks over the most targets at the end of sixty seconds…wins.”

“It’s a war between our two teams,” Kirk explains. “Let’s put sixty seconds on the clock, please!” The clock appears onscreen, ready to go. “On your mark, get set, GO!”

Kristine is quicker than Aubrey, and is a lot better at racing around the field to block the shots from Aubrey’s boulder-shaped sandbag. She also knocks over three of Aubrey’s targets, but she does advance into the Red Jaguars’ territory once, prompting one of the targets to be set back up. Finally, time expires.

“Okay, that’s it!” Kirk exclaims. He appears onscreen a few seconds later. “Stop rolling the boulders around so we can count it up!” Kirk glances at the Red Jaguars’ targets first. “It looks like the Green Monkeys knocked over two of the Red Jaguars’ targets, and…the Red Jaguars didn’t get any of the Red Jaguars’ targets, so the Green Monkeys get the half Pendant of Life!” Kristine applauds along with the audience. “So now, the Green Monkeys have a full Pendant of Life; the Red Jaguars don’t have any yet. But now, we go to the third and final Temple Game, worth a full Pendant of Life. Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3…”

Olmec begins to explain the final Temple Game:
“After William and his armies won the Battle of Stirling Bridge, they had to fight many more battles against the English army, and ended up doing away with hundreds of soldiers. In this game, you will only need to take down four. When Kirk gives the signal, load your slingshot and fire a ball at one of the soldiers. Then, your partner will load the slingshot. The first team to knock down all four soldiers or…the team that knocks down the most soldiers at the end of sixty seconds wins!”

“This…is for the Temple,” Kirk remarks. “Let’s put sixty seconds on the clock!” The clock slams down in the bottom corner, ready to go. “All right—ready, aim, FIRE!”

The Green Monkeys knock down their first target with the first ball they launch, but it takes the Red Jaguars three balls to knock over their first target. About seven seconds later, the Green Monkeys knock over a second target. The Red Jaguars knock over their second target with 44 seconds to go, but one second later, the Green Monkeys knock over their third target. The Red Jaguars get their third target knocked down with 32 seconds to go. From here, the cannonballs go flying every which way, and no one scores for nearly the entire expanse of time left on the clock. But then, with two seconds left, the Green Monkeys knock over their fourth and final target.

“All right, they got it!” says Kirk as he runs back onscreen. “The Green Monkeys knocked over all four of their soldiers first, so they get the full Pendant of Life, giving them two; the Red Jaguars didn’t get any—the Green Monkeys are goin’ to the Temple!” Matt and Kristine applaud excitedly and high-five one another. “Red Jaguars, come on over here. You guys did great, too—you were up against a really tough team. But you’re not goin’ home empty-handed; we’ve got a great gift for you guys, and here’s what it is!” They receive a custom-made Legends of the Hidden Temple: Rebirth watch.

As the prize disappears off-screen, Kirk is seen standing between Matt and Kristine. “Now, it’s time to see if the Green Monkeys can make it through Olmec’s Temple and retrieve the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace, and they’ll do it right after this!”

The camera pans in on the Temple and zooms in on the Scabbard as the title appears onscreen, and we fade to a commercial.

« Reply #3 on: November 01, 2009, 06:24:17 PM »
We return from the break to find Kirk standing in front of the Temple with the winning team.

“Welcome back to Legends: Rebirth,” he says. “The Green Monkeys have proven themselves worthy, and now have earned the right to enter Olmec’s Temple. But first, Olmec’s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve that Leather Scabbard of William Wallace…”

Olmec begins to explain the Temple layout as the camera gives us a first-person walkthrough of the Temple:
“You could start…by running up the stairs to the Crypt! Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Bottomless Pit! Swing across the gap, and climb into the Lunar Landing. Align the puzzle on the satellite, and a door may open into the Clockwork Room. Set the clocks for the correct time, and pass into the Room…of the Mystical Keys! Reach into the compartments to find the two correct keys, and open the door to the SHRIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey! Assemble the statue and you may be headed toward the Room…of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription and shout it out to open the door to the Pharaoh’s Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Dungeon, where you could smash through the wall into the Dark Forest—but beware of the Temple Guards that may inhabit the trees! Find the key in the tree, and you’ll enter…the Jungle Ruins! Climb over the ruins, and you’ll gain entry to the Atlantean Altar. Uncover the tile that lets in the waters of Atlantis, then…race through the Pit, climb through the Ledges, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate. The choices are yours and yours alone!” Olmec pauses. “You won 2 Pendants in the Temple Games. Who’s going first?”

“I am,” says Matt, raising his hand.

“Very well, Matt,” Olmec replies. “When Kirk gives the signal, you’ll race through the Gate into the Temple and make your way toward the Leather Scabbard. Hidden inside the Temple are Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but…if you’re caught without a Pendant, you’ll be taken out of the Temple, and it’ll be Kristine’s turn to enter and try her luck. If you can reach the Scabbard, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish. Return through the Gates with the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace in three minutes, and you’ll both be handsomely rewarded…and here’s how!”

• Just for making it this far, they’ll get a sports package.
• If they can grab the Leather Scabbard within three minutes, they’ll also receive a Nintendo Wii, complete with two new games.
• And if they can bring the Leather Scabbard out of the Temple before three minutes expires, they’ll win a trip to San Jose, California.

“All right, let’s see if we can get ‘em to California,” says Kirk. “Both you guys, you need your mouthpiece in. Let’s set the clock for sixty—uh, three minutes!” The clock slams down in the bottom corner, set for the correct time.

“Olmec, lower your gate.” Olmec moans gutturally as the gate is lowered, and the black lights under him go out.

“Okay, Matt,” begins Kirk, “on your mark, get set, GO!”

“There he goes, with two Pendants in tow!” Kirk narrates as Matt rushes up the stairs. He soon enters the Crypt and pulls two books before opening the door to the Ledges, but he pulls the third one, opening the door to the Bottomless Pit—as well as the secret door at the back of the room, which houses the first TEMPLE GUARD (2:48). “Oh, Temple Guard, right in the first room he enters!” Kirk narrates. “Good thing he’s got a Pendant!” Matt hands over his Pendant after a few seconds of fumbling and begins to head into the Bottomless Pit. He reaches out for the rope, grabs it, and swings across the gap. He tries the actuators for both the Lunar Landing and the Clockwork Room, hitting them several times for good measure, but only the door to the latter room opens, so he heads into the Clockwork Room (2:34). “All right, he’s in the Clock Room!” Kirk shouts. “Now he’s gonna have to set the clocks for all the right time!” Matt glances at the big clock on the Temple Guard door in the room, which is set for twelve o’clock. He goes to work on the stage-right clocks first, turning both of each clock’s hands until they point to the big “XII” at the top of each clock (2:11). When he finishes these three, Matt goes to the right side of the room and starts setting these clocks for the same time. When he finishes, only the door to the Room of the Mystical Keys opens. Matt looks around for a few seconds before he finally proceeds through the open door. But as soon as he enters the room, the second TEMPLE GUARD jumps out and captures him (2:01).

“Oh, Temple Guard! Go, Kristine!” Kirk shouts. Kristine begins jogging up the steps to the Crypt, effectively retracing Matt’s steps. She has a little trouble in the Bottomless Pit, where she grabs onto the rope, sloppily swings across, and almost falls off the rope after reaching the opposite ledge (1:48). “Whoa, careful not to fall!” Kirk exclaims. Kristine hangs on for dear life, and fortunately regains her balance. She keeps following Matt’s cleared-out path, eventually reaching the Room of the Mystical Keys (1:25). She looks around for a few seconds before heading to the back of the room and reaching into the bottom left compartment. She comes out empty-handed, so she works her way around the compartments in a counterclockwise pattern until she finds one key in the right middle compartment, and the second one in the top left compartment (1:09). “She found the two keys—now she has to find the two right keyholes,” Kirk narrates. Kristine places one key in the left pedestal, but nothing happens. She tries the middle one with this key, but again, nothing happens (1:00). When she places this key in the right pedestal, it begins glowing with an eerie red light. “There’s one, now where does the other one go?” Kirk asks. Kristine inserts the other key in the middle pedestal, but nothing happens. When she places it in the left pedestal, the pedestal lights up red, and the door to the Shrine opens (0:54).

“All right—now into the Shriiiine of the Siiiiilver Monkey!” narrates Kirk. Kristine progresses into the room and looks around for a second before the third and final TEMPLE GUARD jumps out from the secret door at the back of the room, causing her to scream in fright (0:49). “Oh, there’s the last Temple Guard!” Kirk laments. “No, wait…she’s got a Pendant, I forgot!” Kristine hands her Pendant to the Temple Guard, and he exits the room via the way he came in. Kristine climbs up on the ledges in the room to retrieve the base and head of the statue from the shelves, then brings them to the front of the room and sets them down (0:45). She goes back to retrieve the middle of the statue, and also brings it back and sets it down (0:39). She grabs the base of the statue and places it on the pedestal (0:35), and then successfully places the middle (0:29). When she jams the head down, the doors to the Room of the Secret Password and the Dungeon open. She notices the open door to the Dungeon, and crawls through it. “That door’ll take her into the Dungeon—the dark, depressing Dungeon,” Kirk explains. Kristine begins to climb down the ladder in the room (0:11). “Ten seconds left—can she reach the Scabbard in time?” Kirk asks suspensefully. Kristine slowly descends the ladder, and when she reaches the bottom, she breaks down the wall into the Dark Forest, but unfortunately, we’re out of time!

“Oh—she was only two rooms away!” Kirk laments. “They cleared out a big path, but they couldn’t reach the Scabbard in time. That’s okay, though—I know they had fun, and they still get the sports packages for playing anyway. And we’ve gotta get outta here. We’ll see ya next time, but just remember: it’s not just Legends, it’s Legends: Rebirth! Buh-bye, everybody!”

Kristine emerges from the Temple, and she, Kirk and Matt chat and wave to the audience as the credits roll. Several close-ups of the Temple are seen, including the Ledges, the Bottomless Pit, and the Leather Scabbard of William Wallace in the Atlantean Altar. Kirk, Matt and Kristine wave goodbye one final time as the Stone Stanley logo appears onscreen.

The Leather Scabbard of William Wallace
Season 1, Layout 3
Location
: The Atlantean Altar
Team: Green Monkeys (Kristine Armstrong & Matt Norton)
Pendants: 2
Result: Ran out of time

This episode is a prime example of how you can’t judge a team by how well they do in the Temple Games. The Green Monkeys were absolutely dominant in the Games, but they sure didn’t show it in this Temple Run.

Matt must have burnt up all the energy he had in the first Temple Game, because he wasn’t that fast here, and was way too distracted by the Temple Guard he met in the Crypt, which I think threw him off-guard for the rest of his time in the Temple. He was taken out in the Room of the Mystical Keys with just over two minutes left on the clock.

Kristine seemed quicker than a hiccup in the second Temple Game, but she was extremely indecisive during the Temple Run. To boot, she had horrible luck—she almost fell off the rope in the Bottomless Pit, and had to go through all the possible key/pedestal combinations in the Room of the Mystical Keys. Her shortness also proved detrimental as she tried to grab the pieces of the Silver Monkey. Unfortunately, time ran out on her just as she was entering the Dark Forest. If this team had shown the speed they did in the Temple Games, this could very well have been a victory. Instead, it was a colossal failure. Well, there’s always next time…

Rating: 5 out of 10

Notes and Trivia: This is the only time an artifact is hidden in the Atlantean Altar. In addition, it's one of the few times someone takes the ladder from the Shrine of the Silver Monkey downward into the Dungeon.

This is one of only four times that the boys’ Temple Game occurs before the girls’ Temple Game in Legends: Rebirth. The first Temple Game was also pretty loosely tied to the legend—the producers should’ve tried a little harder, in my opinion.

Is anyone besides me surprised that they got through an entire episode about William Wallace without a single Braveheart reference?  :D

The descriptions of the first two temple games are a little on the short side, but I understand if you're drained of synonyms. I have the problem too occasionally. You're doing a good job at this, can't wait for more!
