Legends: Rebirth Interview with Ashleigh Morrows (Silver Snake, Temple Run Victor from The Infamous Lion Skin of the Tsavo Hunter)

**DISCLAIMER: This is NOT—I repeat—NOT an interview with a real Legends contestant. It’s with a fictional contestant from my independent project of fanfics, Legends: Rebirth. My statements are in bold.**

Well, with the recent revival of Legends, a lot of people have asked me if I have interviewed any of the contestants. After a little browsing on Facebook and MySpace, I came across Ashleigh Morrows, a Silver Snake and Temple Run victor from the very first episode, The Infamous Lion Skin of the Tsavo Hunter. She agreed to an interview, and big thanks to her for that!

The Bandit King: First off, thanks for taking the time to do this interview.

Ashleigh Morrows: My pleasure, TBK.

TBK: Had you ever heard of Legends before your tenure on the show, and if so, had you ever watched any episodes?

AM: Yes, I had! My family actually used to get a cable channel that showed it all the time. What was it called again…?

TBK: Nick GaS?

AM: Yeah, that’s it! Anyway, I used to watch it and GUTS all the time, and I pretty much knew how it went.

TBK: How did you learn about Legends: Rebirth?

AM: My family and I were on vacation in Orlando the very week that they began, and my dad saw something in the paper about auditions for a revival of Legends. He knew I like to watch the show, so he was like, “Hey, Ashleigh, they’re doing another season of that show with the talking rock you like so much!” I practically begged him if I could audition!

TBK: How did you audition for the show?

AM: Well, me and a bunch of other kids showed up at the place, and we went through a big obstacle course to start. Then, they tested us on various subjects—science, math, but mostly history. Then we did a few exercises—jumping jacks, push-ups, you know, that sort of thing?—and they weeded out a lot of kids.

TBK: What happened when you weren’t filming?

AM: Well, they were filming about nine or ten episodes that day, and since I was on the first one, there was very little time to do what we wanted to do. But the hour we did have in the green room was super-fun. We played Wii and Playstation2 games, watched Nickelodeon and The N, ate chips, drank soda, stuff like that. I met my partner, Joseph, and he seemed really nice—and not too bad-looking, either! :P

TBK: What was it like competing in the rounds?

AM: Well, the Moat was pretty simple—swing on a rope to make it across—and I was one of the first ones across, so that felt pretty good. The Steps of Knowledge were really interesting, too. I had no knowledge of the Tsavo Maneaters before I did the show, but they gave us a copy of the legend to study before we started taping, so me and Joseph knew it pretty well when the time came to film that round. Problem was, we were so slow on the draw—it came down to the last question, where I just happened to know what an “ocelot” was! The Temple Games were a lot of fun! I wish I could’ve tried the one Joseph got—you know, where he swung around and got the plastic meat? That one looked really fun.

TBK: What was it like running through the Temple?

AM: Well, I obviously didn’t spend too much time in it! Yeah, it was pretty exhilarating. The two Temple Guards I met scared the crap out of me, though! It was fun, and I don’t think I did anything all that bad when I was in it. We won, didn’t we?

TBK: Yes, you did. Do you and Joseph still know one another?

AM: I wish I could say we did, but we don’t. I don’t even know his last name…

TBK: It’s “Bartlett”, just so you know.

AM: Really? Well, I guess I know now, don’t I?

TBK: Did you get to meet Kirk or Dee?

AM: I didn’t meet Kirk Fogg off-camera. Dee Baker, on the other hand, I did meet. He was really nice—I didn’t know he did so many cartoon voices!

TBK: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

AM: Um…just that I had an awesome time, and it was really fun!

TBK: And with that, I guess we’ve come full circle. Thanks again!

AM: You’re welcome! Bye…

Pretty cool. :)

This makes me wonder how we find out the players' last names in the show, though.  Are their full names in the credits or something?
If you have seen all 120 full episodes of Legends, copy and paste this into your profile for all to see.

Yeah, sure...let's go with that...

I actually started giving last names to my contestants as a way to set it apart, and I've been doing it in all of my fics ever since. So I don't see why the winning players' names wouldn't be in the credits...
