I'm pissed that they always do fire drills in 2-2, my free period (or "recess"). Cuts away 30 minutes of my trying-to-finish-up-homework-that-I-didn't-do-because-I-was-playing-Guitar-Hero-and-I-couldn't-make-it-up-at-4AM time.

I also like how there's only one Monday where I have classes in the whole month of September.  It's Labor Day today; on the 21st and 28th, there's no classes due to some religious celebrations (one's Jewish and one's Muslim IIRC).  4-day weeks FTW.

Here's my schedule as of now:

Tuesday:
0935-1050: Elementary Statistics
1235-1350: Critical Thinking: Ethnic Studies
1410-1525: Intro to Asian-American Literature

Thursday:
0935-1050: Elementary Statistics
1235-1350: Critical Thinking: Ethnic Studies
1410-1525: Intro to Asian-American Literature

I still need one more class to be considered for full time with 3 units, since I go by the semester rather than the quarter.

I guess the payoff for finishing Engineering is a better future in a good career. Hopefully, I'll try to finish my required G.E. and maybe go into Engineering as well. I'm sure many 1st year ENGR. students will be switching majors somewhere in Business or anything with a B.A., but I don't blame them because it does require a lot of work.

(Now, I'm talking to you Ed) If you're actually required to take those classes this quarter, I hope you don't snap. That's what happened to my cousin when he majored in BioEngineering at UC Davis. He told me his experience that he went berserk one day in his dorm room and felt like jumping out of the window of his room, which makes sense to why a significant number of college students commit suicide. Even his sister snapped once at him and kicked his ass. It was that she couldn't finish all of her work, so her brother said he would do her paper that was due in a couple of days.

I'll post this in the 'College Life' as well.

Thanks for the advice; I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on the difficulty of the work. But believe it or not, I'm breaking the college rules because I'm not taking enough units. Hopefully they won't hunt me down.

Sure, a BIG bonus for you and maybe for me when I major in it as well.

But I forgot to mention that he also took a few honors or excel classes, which was more harder than the normal. So I'm not sure if you are taking any ENGR Honors, but you might just make it if you plan it well enough.

Just remember to at least help your Engineering buddies make it through because there is a very high demand for college graduates who worked in the Engineering field, but then again, there are foreigners competing for your job at a cheaper price, but rest assured, it will take time.
