Classes, classes, and more classes...

So here's my final schedule:

Tuesday:
0935-1050: Elementary Statistics
1100-1215: Data Analysis in Education
1235-1350: Critical Thinking-Ethnic Studies
1410-1525: Intro to Asian-American Litertature

Thursday:
[Repeat of Tuesday]

I say this schedule would be for the person who commutes from home. I like it of course. It looks tough to not have a longer break in-between, but it pays off with more off-days.

So I wonder why the rest of you chose to have classes on the weekdays? Don't you want a little break off or something every week? A shortage of classes on the first four weekdays and room for Friday? Helps yourself to not party hard enough on Thursday nights?

I honestly didn't have much of a choice in what days I could take my classes.  The days were always set; I could only change the times.

I'm happy I'm done around noon most of the time, though.  The three-hour breaks on Tuesday and Thursday are also nice, though.

I can't believe you're saying that coming from a state school. The atmosphere over here focuses on just getting classes. Schedule arrangement is severely restricted due to the cuts, so one takes what one can get.

I personally wish you'd be more considerate of those people who don't have the same scheduling freedoms you do. It goes without saying that people have preferences when they plan the day, but I think it's also true that people select as good a schedule as possible, given the circumstances.

I'm not being mean nor I did know I was, I just thought almost all schools had a similar scheduling system than mine. I haven't been back to school since 2008, so my knowledge about what's going on in the CSU's is from 2008.

Like I've said before, my major is Biology. Yeah...my schedule's packed with science courses, but my Professor says that it's best to get most of the science classes finished as early as I can. I'm not sure why, though...

So, I went ahead and added that fifth course.  Here's what it looks like now:

Monday
9:30-10:25? Calculus III

11:40-12:35? Languages of the World

Tuesday
11:00-12:20? German 102
12:30-1:50? Writing 205

Wednesday
9:30-10:25? Calculus III
10:35-11:30? German 102
11:40-12:35? Languages of the World
12:45-2:05? Sociology of Islamic Fundamentalism

Thursday
11:00-12:20? German 102
12:30-1:50? Writing 205

3:30-4:50? Calculus III

Friday
8:25-9:20? Languages of the World (recitation)
9:30-10:25? Calculus III

12:45-2:05? Sociology of Islamic Fundamentalism

Not TOO different, but now I've got 17 credits rather than 14 on my plate this semester.  Gets another core requirement out of the way and makes it a little easier to rack up the remaining credits in the next four semesters after this and possibly graduate a year early.

After having this schedule, with 10-15 minutes breaks in between, it really strained my body because I had to rush in to get to the next class. I rarely bought lunch and never ate many times, until I got used to the commuting and such.

Now I'll be planning to commute 3-4 days a week and maybe with a major in mind.

I can't register for classes until August 4, but so far the only class I got waitlisted is:

2nd Year Composition English: T,TH 0935-1050

^^As for Ed's Monday schedule, at least you're lucky that you have an hour break from 12:00-13:10 because I didn't last Fall.

I'm not sure what you mean... Both schedules have six straight hours of class; it just so happens that I have a seventh hour on Monday after a one-hour break. I have it worse. :P
