Temple Guard Theory
« on: August 18, 2009, 12:17:43 PM »
I wanted to start this topic because I have noticed something about temple guards.

First of all, there are certain rooms that only certain temple guards hide in.  For example, In season 2, only the green-masked temple guards appeared in the heartroom/medusa area and gold-masked temple guards appeared in the ledges.

Also, the behavoir of temple guards are also different.  For example, the gold-masked temple guards always seemed to emerge at a late pase, while the black-masked temple guards seemed to be the ones to pop out like they were going to be late for something.

Well Mike Lupia told me in a MySpace Message that he only guarded the Dark Forest and the Tomb of the Headless Kings in Season 3 of the show.

Well, you have to remember that the Dark Forest Guards didn't have to wear masks! So the correlation of any color of mask to a Dark Forest guard could have simply been due to a personal preference of the Temple Guards themselves.

Well actually I thought that when the player got caught in the dark forest without a pendant, the spotters would simply direct them out.  I didn't think there were acutally any temple guards in the tree.

*Has sleeping problems again*

In the interview with Mark Lupia, he stated that he had to stand inside the tree and put his arms into the tree's arms, and capture a player should they enter the room.

 Why can't I remember this?!! I was the only person who cracked Jon's password, so I've had the most exposure to it!!! *Checks Interview Page*

For the record, It's Micheal Lupia!!! Also, to get this back on topic, I will agree with IronMask that certain Temple Guards on Legends did receive consistent room assignments. The Micheal Lupia interview confirms this.

Ok, TBF, now let's keep things on track:

Has anybody noticed any correlation in how each Temple Guard on Legends treated or acted towards the contestants when they emerged? I'd like to hear any opinions of this.

I think the Shrine guards were always the rapists... I'm serious! Those seem to be the most aggressive!

Well, I remember in season 1, the black-masked temple guards would cackle when they caught a person.

Yeah, that was in season 1.  They stopped in season 2 though.  Black-masked ones were the most aggresive im my opinion.
