Here's another coincidence regarding the bottom central shaft: None of the S1 and S2 bottom central shaft runs were pulled off with 2 pendants. Yet all the S3 bottom central shaft runs were all 2 pendant runs.

Also, 3/4 of those runs (Amelia Earhart, Golden Ship, and Polynesian Girl) had the Purple Parrots losing in the temple games. 5/8 of the bottom of the central shaft runs had the Purple Parrots lose in the temple games. (Empress Eugenie and Smashed Printing Plate to the ones mentioned above).

- Four tiebreakers resulted from a Silver/Red pairing: Alhambra  , Bandit Queen, War Fan, and Kamehameha. And all four episodes were one pendant ones also.

- Four episodes were recorded with a Green/Silver pairing and ended up being a win: Benzibab, Enormous Iron Nose Ring, Chandragupta, and The Trojan Horseshoe. I believe this is the most wins out of any pair.

- All three episodes that featured a Kristen were the last episode recorded that day (Amelia Earhart, Polynesian Girl, and Catherine the Great).
-- 2/3 of those Kristens were moat rejects from earlier episodes. (Moccasins --> Amelia Earhart and Empress Theodora --> Polynesian Girl).

- There were four temple victors with a Jennifer: Galileo's Cannonball, Atocha, Map to the Lost Gold Mine, and Buddha.

Yeah, the Purple Parrots had some terrible luck when it came to those bottom central shaft episodes. And they didn't even make it to the temple.

Here are some more:
- In "The Golden Jaguar of Atahualpa" and "The Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor," both had Red-Blue-Orange-Purple in the Steps of Knowledge. Both had Blue vs. Purple in the temple games, with Blue winning. And both episodes had them come from behind and win the third temple game. And both had artifacts that were at least reached by a girl.
- In Season 3, 4/6 Green vs. Silver temple game pairs had Red-Green-Orange-Silver on the Steps. The other two episodes to NOT feature that pair (Spellbook and Golden Spider Web), not only had different SOK pairs, but were filmed on the same day.
- Also, the Green Monkeys always advanced from the Red-Green-Orange-Silver pair in Season 3.
- In the two times Red beat Silver (Blackbeard and Alhambra), they both featured Red-Blue-Orange-Silver on the Steps of Knowledge. And what do you  know, both were pathetic temple runs. And you wonder why Red never beat Silver again.

This topic is getting pretty addicting.  :mryellow:

- Both times when a Key (Alhambra and Benjamin Franklin) was used as an artifact, the episode ended up with a one pendant tiebreaker where the opposing team got the tiebreaker question wrong, allowing the temple team (Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas) a chance to enter the temple. Except Peter and Michelle answered the tiebreaker question correctly in Electrified Key.

- The name Leah and Kristen have a lot in common:
-- Both names were featured at least one in each season.
-- Both names resulted in a failure to reach an artifact (Amelia Earhart and Belle Boyd), a failed escape (Polynesian Girl and Blackfeet Chief), and a temple win (Catherine the Great and Sultan Saladin).

- The Parrots had back to back episodes (Annie Oakley and Billy the Kid) where the team finished first in the moat, swept the Steps, and won two pendants in the temple games. Except, Chandra and Nick didn't win in the temple.

- 3/4 Orange Iguana wins resulted from a tiebreaker question. (Atocha, Nostradamus, and Butch Cassidy)

- Likewise, 3/4 of the Orange Iguana wins came from them beating the Purple Parrots in the temple games (Sir Gawain, Butch Cassidy, and Nostradamus).

- Green/Red had the most temple game sweeps: Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress, William the Conqueror, and Queen Boadicea.

- All episodes featuring a Necklace as an artifact were two pendant episodes: Montezuma, Blackfeet Chief, and Gwalior.

- The Red Jaguars holds the record for both fastest temple win and temple loss. Coincidentally, both episodes were shown together on Nick Gas. (Golden Ship and Shaka Zulu)

Each  :jaguars2:  :snakes2:  tiebreaker involved  :snakes2: winning the individual games and  :jaguars2: winning the team game.

There were typically two paths for Center of the Room artifacts, but all 4 of the reached ones had the team start at the bottom floor (Lucky Pillow, Golden Earring, Battle Flag, & Mussel Shell Armor)

All Observatory wins were solo.

The Lucky Medallion was the only bottom floor victory in Season 2.

Every episode in S2 L5 had the team in the Room of the Artifact (not counting Nathan Hale)

It took the  :parrots2: to it's last tiebreaker to finally get a tiebreaker win (Metal Beard)

Twice is Seasons 1 & 2 did a team get the tiebreaker question wrong (Alhambra   , Jean Lafitte   , Ben Franklin (AMBASSADOR!!! ) & Icarus   )
3/4  :iguanas2:  wins were Solo (Butch Cassidy, Atocha, & Sir Gawain)

Didn't the Green Monkeys in Lost Taj Mahal Turban beat the Purple Parrots in a tiebreaker? I am pretty sure that episode comes right after Egyptian Queen. ;)

Here are a few more:

- Both times a Turban was used as an artifact resulted in a Green/Purple matchup where Green won.

- Both times a Helmet was used as an artifact resulted in a Red/Blue matchup where Red won.

- Both times an artifact was in the Pirate's Cove (Genghis Khan and Geronimo), it resulted in a temple victory.

- Both Dolley Madison and Sojourner Truth featured artifacts in the Jester's Court where the second runner was a female and both players stalled in the Dark Forest before time ran out in the Jester's Court.

- No "Golden" artifact was ever retrieved and brought out of the temple in time.

- The following production days resulted in back to back episodes where two contestants shared the same name:
-- Sultan Saladin/Alhambra: Steve
-- Useless Map/Imperial Wizard: Jared
-- Nostradamus/Icarus: Jason
-- Lion-Slashed Jacket/Roy Bean: Mike
-- Buddha/Golden Chains?: Jennifer

Taj Mahal Turban did not feature a tiebreaker of any kind. Egyptian King came after Egyptian Queen, not Taj Mahal Turban.

Here are some more coincidences I found:

- Regarding Orange Iguana wins: 3/4 of the wins had artifacts located at the very end of the temple. And 3/4 of those episodes were tiebreaker wins, (Silver Horseshoe, Atocha, Dog Leash). The only other Orange Iguanas win (Sir Gawain), had an artifact that was located in the Jester's Court.
- In Season 1, the Orange Iguanas went to the temple 6/9 times. In Season 2, the Red Jaguars went to the temple 6/10 times. In Season 3, the Blue Barracudas went to the temple 5/7 times. Yet neither of these teams scored any wins in those respective seasons.

Here is an interesting piece about the Blue Barracudas in S3. They made it to the temple games 5 times. They had at least one temple game appearances against one team except the Orange Iguanas:
- Blue/Silver - Mary Shelley
- Blue/Purple - Hans Holbein
- Blue/Red - Red Sash
- Blue/Green - Mummified Hand/Gwalior

Their two temple game losses came against the Green Monkeys in "Sforza" and "Belle Boyd". So they had a perfect record against 3 teams in S3 at least.

Here is an interesting coincidence between Queen Boadicea/Empress Eugenie.
- Both episodes were second on their production days.
- Both episodes were located in the Tomb of the Headless Kings.
- Both teams swept the temple games.
- Both teams succeeded a run that resulted in a win of their respective colors (Roland --> Boadicea, Sforza --> Eugenie). And both proceeding wins were 1.5 pendant runs.
- Both times the second runner tried the middle painting first but it gave them problems before they tried it again.
- Both males grabbed the artifact but failed to bring them out.

And besides Green/Silver, Green/Purple had just as many wins as Green/Silver.
- Emiliano Zapata
- Ahmed Baba
- Billy the Kid
- Pirate Captain
- Egyptian Queen

So both combinations had 5 wins each.

Here's a coincidence regarding the Sir Gawain filming day:

The Red Jaguars lost at the temple games three times (Bifocal Monocle, Battle Flag, and War Fan), but lost at the moat in Sir Gawain. The Purple Parrots were exactly the opposite. They LOST at the moat in the first three episodes, but made it to the temple games in Sir Gawain.

Also, the Purple Parrots advanced 6/7 times from Red-Green-Purple-Silver in Season 2. And, both Purple Parrot episodes in Season 3 featured that same Steps of Knowledge pair, and beat the Green Monkeys in the temple games.

- The Purple Parrots have lost three one pendant tiebreakers when they won their individual games and lost their team games. (Atahualpa, Annie Taylor, and Butch Cassidy). All three temple teams in these episodes reached their artifacts.

- Both the Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag/War Fan were artifacts symbolizing war and were both taped back-to-back.

- Both Lion-Slashed Jacket/Lion-Headed Bracelet were artifacts related to Lions and were taped back-to-back also.

- Both Mummified Hand/Metal Beard were episodes about Egyptian King and Queen taped back-to-back.

- 3/4 teams from the Gwalior day (Gwalior, Belle Boyd, and Pytheas) had the teams win the temple games with a 2-1.5 pendant score.

- The Orange Iguanas also 3 episodes where they won the temple games 2-1.5: Johnny Appleseed, Pytheas, and Clovis I. They also lost the temple games with that score in Catherine the Great.

- Elizabeth I and Henry VIII were related to each other and had episodes end in triple capture on the show.

- There were four Tony's that appeared on the show (Belly Button, Stone Head, Poseidon, and Billy the Kid.) All four of those Tony's were second runners.
-- All four Tony's were part of a team that won two pendants in the temple games.
-- 2/4 Tony's were in episodes where their team won. (Buddha and Billy the Kid).
-- 2/4 Tony's never entered the temple (Poseidon and Buddha).

- Both the Swamp room space and Center of the Temple have a lot in common.
-- Both rooms housed two victories each (Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress and Sir Gawain for the Swamp room space, and Annie Taylor and Mussel-Shell Armor for center of the temple).
-- Both rooms shared a failed escape (Dolley Madison for Swamp space and Henry Morgan for center of the temple).
-- Both Lawrence of Arabia and Apanuugpak were Green Monkey temple wins where they beat the Red Jaguars in the temple games AND won two pendants.
- Both Sir Gawain and Annie Taylor featured these teams winning the temple games against the Purple Parrots.

I found another coincidence:

The Blue Barracudas went to the temple with 2 pendants 5/7 times in Season 2, much like how they advanced from the temple games 5/7 times in Season 3. The other two Blue Barracuda runs (Lucky Pillow and Electrified Key), were not only 1 pendant runs, but were both filmed on the same day. So they never had a 1.5 pendant run in Season 2.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned yet, but it's regarding the two episodes Jennifer from Melted Head appeared in. Jennifer lost at the moat in Manuscript, as we all know. Naturally, Orange and Purple did not make it across, and Blue and Silver made it to the temple games. In the Melted Head episode, it's exactly the opposite. Blue and Silver lose at the moat, yet Orange and Purple go head to head in the temple games.

I think you brought this one up in the Legends Trivia thread, but the following teams only had one frontrunner male or female in Season 2:

Green Monkeys - Ashley - The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora
Blue Barracudas - Peter - The Electrified Key of Benjamin Franklin
Red Jaguars - Rachelle - The Golden Goblet of Attila the Hun
Silver Snakes - Ashley - The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan

Coincidentally, two of these teams had a frontrunner named Ashley.
Two of these artifacts were golden.
Two of these artifacts were located in the Mine Shaft.
