More from Kirk Fogg (3/12/04)
« on: September 19, 2008, 03:58:47 PM »
I rediscovered a blog comment by someone who claims he is Kirk Fogg.  While blogs are not very reliable, I'll venture that the comment is probably authentic for two reasons.  First, he mentions living in L.A. before it became common knowledge after the 2006 interview.  Second, he mentions by name director Glenn Weiss, as he also does in the 2006 interview, which we know to be authentic.

Anyways, here is a link:

(search for Kirk Fogg)

Interesting points:
*He was hired two weeks before the show began taping (so appx. mid-July '93) on the basis of an audition tape and the fact that a producer thought he was gay.  (Note:  compare this forum post)
*No one had a clue what was going on during the show's first season taping in August '93
*Because he sucked in the first season (likely due to the lack of direction from Charles Ciup), Nickelodeon and Stone-Stanley decided to give him less of a role.
*Nickelodeon apparently hated Fogg (perhaps this is why he never appeared on Figure It Out?)
