The reason why the shrine door didn't open
« on: August 12, 2008, 08:39:21 AM »
If you remember in the snow cone of mount kilamonjaro, heather the second runner is unable to access the shrine of the silver monkey because the door leading from the dark forest passage to the shrine is stuck shut. Every one blammed the production crew, but a closer look at the tape reveals it was not the fault of the production crew.

HEATHER NEVER USED THE KEY. She just pryed the door open with her hands. Now i bet everyone is gonna stop feeling sorry for her.

I still blame the production crew. The door shouldn't have been able to be forced open at all.

THe kid in the marble armrest of Xerxes also tryed to pry the door open.

Still its not the production crews falt. The door was always like that. Even in the first season kids were still able to open the door without much effort.

Let me rephrase that: the door shouldn't have been able to be pried open; it was designed poorly. So it's still one crew member's fault, not the player's. That's what I'm saying.

Well I still don't agree that its the crews fault. But atleast we know why the door didn't open.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! If it is true that she never used the key, then why did the sound effect indicating that the door had opened PLAY?!!! If she HAD forced open the door, wouldn't the sound effect been SUPPRESSED? Also, if she HAD forced the door open, wouldn't the CAMERAMAN that was RIGHT THERE in the Forest DQ'd her or told the production room that she forced open the door?

Secondly, If she had the strength to force open the door, then why (didn't she/wasn't she able to) force open the 2nd door as well?

Finally, WHY THE HELL did the frontrunner go for the tree instead of jumping into the Quicksand Bog? He would've been captured there, but he would've enabled his team to avoid this WHOLE MESS!!! (As well as the "Spirit" in the tree)

Well for one thing they didn't exactly want to point out that she had cheated. It would make more sense if the sound effect played. Plus you have to remember the crew never (Intenionally) Made it appear that any Even attempted to cheat in the game. They would have played the sound effect if she had violently ripped the doors open.

2nd If the camerman valued his job. He would keep quiet. Plus there were only 12 seconds left, They weren't going reset something just because someone opened the door wrong.

The reason why they couldn't open the other door is because the contestant was in a narrow tunnel holding on to a ladder. She could only keep one arm free and even if she was able to get enough force, The shrine door is obviously held together by a much stronger lock.

I don't think they were in some rooms, like the Crypt and the Tomb of the Headless Kings. Did you notice how contestants recoiled after pulling the books or the ropes? With that said, it was still very possible for any other sounds to be added afterward.

You asked questions, I answered them. I don't see what I did wrong.
