Even though it's out of 8 & not 3, it was the third panel pulled to show the white light.

Even if the Golden Earring of Henry Morgan episode was a temple run loss, it was exciting because Shem waited until there was 2 seconds left before he got the earring, and Ashley's delirious reaction said it all.  The Snakes managed to get the artifact in the center room and it was also a miracle that Shem was not even caught by a third DREADED Temple Guard.  No doubt this was one of the more exciting temple runs of the second season.

Yeah, even though once Ashley revealed the white light she kept pulling the other pannels down anyways.

Two GREAT episodes are on today.

The Milkbucket of Freydis (Season 2)
The Helmet of Genghis Khan (Season 1)

Boy, Nick GaS is really jumping around with these episodes, but they brought us two AMAZING wins.

I think that the Milkbucket run was a lot more exciting than the Helmet of Genghis Khan.
Although the Red Jaguars got a pretty simple layout, they still got Genghis Khan's Helmet and still won with 10 seconds left.  Their trip to U.S. Space Camp was well-earned.  Also, during the temple run, there is a Kirk Fogg-up, he says that the Observatory was the observation tower.

2 more goodies today, and more jumpung around with the episodes. So here are the reviews:

Milk Bucket Of Freydis:
Moat was the same as the golden earring episode and the golden pepperoni episode, stand on these crawled tubes and/or climb on the poll on top. Steps Of Knowledge was almost a double sweep, but red jaguars rang in with a right question soooo...Temple Games were purple vs. silver. First game was the same as the one in "golden pepperoni" and the "golden earring episode" purple and silver got the 1/2 pendant. 2nd game was where you had to climb up and place a bell on the head on top, while it spits water @ you. Silver scrambled a lot and kept touching the gorund, and Tarrah of the purple parrots got the 1/2 pendant. 3rd game was the same as the "golden earring" episode. Row your boat to pick up treasrue like artifacts, and then pull yourself back with a rope. Final score on the pendants are: Purple Parrots 2 and Silver Snakes only a 1/2 so they go to the temple! YAY! :D

Helmet Of Genghis Khan
Moat was the same as the one in "Keys To Alhambra" one person sims across with a rope and then the other climb across. Steps Of Knowledge kind of average if ya ask me. Temple games were red vs. blue. 1st game was where you had to climb up, attach a brick to your helmet, then put it in your bucket. Taylor of the Red Jaguars got the 1/2 pendant. 2nd game was where you had to climb up a soapy ramp and retireve these "soldier" like artifacts and put it in your bucket. Both of them took a ridiculously long time and scrambled like crazy. So @ the last second Becca from the Red Jaguars ended up pulling one of the soldiers heads off, but it was a scoreless (sp?) tie so they both got the half pendant. 3rd game you had to tipi this building thing, and @ the end the red jaguars got al the tipi thingys up, so they go to the temple with 2 pendants! Temple Run: easy layout, but still a good episode. Becca heads in first and is caught by a temple guard immediately in the Cave Of Size. From there, she is forced up into the Gargoyle Room, where she jumps into the oit and climbs up to the Obsevatory. She takes the top path until the shrine, whre she is taken out. Taylor follows her path and retrieves the helmet too! He exits through the Heart Room for some weird reason, but he escapes with 9 seconds to spare. Once he crosses the gate, him and her partner are so excited that Kirk struggled to keep them in camera frame. note: once Taylor leaves the temple, you can still see the cave of size temple guard.

Milk Bucket Of Freydis

A classic Temple Run made memorable not just for its finish, but for the event leading up to that finish.  Tarrah decided to skip the rope and just jump across the pit.  Needless to say, it doesn't work out so well, and she falls flat against one of the ledges and ends up breaking the bucket.  Undaunted, she climbs up the Ledges and crosses the gate with a mere second to spare.

The Helmet of Genghis Khan

A rather simple layout + two fast and smart kids = a nice win.  The Jaguars only needed to cross 6 rooms en route to the helmet, but it was still a solid effort and a well-deserved win.

The Helmet of Genghis Khan is chock full of Fogg-Ups.

Well, not necessarily.  The Helmet of Genghis Khan episode was from its original 1993 broadcast with among other parting gifts, Hershey's Syrup and other retro stuff.

What I mean is that I have maybe 10-20 episodes on tape from reruns on Nickelodeon that I taped from 1997-1998, both of today's episodes being in the select few. Get it now?

At the tail end of the Helmet of Genghis Kahn, Dee announces "Portions of this program were edited not affecting the outcome of the game", a standard game show phrase, but one that (to my knowledge) was never heard again in a Legends ep.
