I don't even think the Forest/Shrine passage opened up so I think Keith was kind of forced to go into the Room Of The Secret Password, which was why the layout was so difficult. Just a thought I had...

In that case, there's no way that even the best team, on their best day, could have won.  Going through all 12 rooms just to get to the artifact?!?!

One last thing abut the episode that I forgot to mention, and it's a Fogg-up of sorts.  Kirk repeatedly pronounces "Hans" like the word "hands" (guess it's his Midwestern roots).  No, I don't expect him to be a fluent German-speaker like Dee, but c'mon, Kirk can't get Hans right?

missing portrait of hans holbien
the discarded seal of ivan the terrible
the dried apple half of william tell

what two things do these episodes have in common
1 they were filmed on the same day
2 they were the 3 hardest layouts ever used on the show
they crew must have been felling really hard on teams that day

Haha, he does a little bit. Rachel was a screamer >_<

These episodes were supposed to play the day they showed The Marble Armrest of Xerxes & The Bone Necklace of the Blackfeet Chief, so I got kinda confused, but now we're kinda back on schedule :D

Yeah, they skip around for a few, then they just keep on task. But I'm happy because 3 of my favorite episodes in the next 2 days (The Diary of Dr. Livingston, The Trojan Horseshoe, & The Moccasins of Geronimo).

Yeah, but I think I'm gonna lose Nick Gas access those days cuz I'm gonna be offline September 6th and 7th, and @ my new house (I've been in the process of moving) I prolly won't get the channels (including Nick Gas) for a while.

The Missing Portrait layout was similar to the Ivory Elephant of Scherazade, which even if they grabbed the artifact, they would have visited all 12 rooms of the temple, so it was an accomplishment to go as far as the Dark Forest.  This was a tough layout for the Blue Barracudas and Keith and Rachel didn't have a prayer in reaching the portrait in the chamber and also going counter-clockwise to the Tomb of the Headless Kings and going up to the Chamber with the artifact was very difficult when the artifact was in the center room of the temple but they didn't go any further than the Dark Forest when time expired.

Cool, I'm glad I was able to catch these eps and review the episodes, and who knows maybe i'll actually get Nick Gas once i'm settled into my new house. (when all the channels will come in I'm not sure). Anyways this (not counting juan's post above me) is getting a little bit off topic, so I'll prolly back off from this thread until I have more notes or if I write another review.

Rachel was a screamer >_<

:?

She barely screamed at all and when she did it was much more encouraging than say Dana from the Printing Plate episode who was just plain bitchy.

If you're gonna call shouting out "You can do it!" as "screaming" at their partners, then John from the Lucky Pillow episode and Robert from the Applewood Amulet episode should be considered "screamers" as well.

There's a difference between shouting words of encouragement and shouting out of frustration.

2 Silver Cannonball Notes:

When Jonathan Enters the temple, the music doesn't start right away.

When Amber reaches down to pick up the key in the King's Storeroom, there's TWO keys laying on the ground.

Oddly, Loudmouth Dana was on a contest called Rock Star: Supernova, but was voted off.
