I had never seen the Atocha temple run before.  Great solo run, and one of the only kids that didn't seem to have trouble in Medusa's Lair.

Also the only other episode, aside from "The Diary of Dr. Livingstone", where anyone pulled the snakes out in the Viper's Nest.

I say Kirk gave a spare pendant to the cameraman and the cameraman threw it to him. I wish he hadn't though cuz I would have loved to see Ty get taken out in the Ledge and Jennifer run in to complete the run. Techincally, it wouldn't have been a solo run but Jennifer would have done everything. :P

That would really suck for Ty, to be as blunt as possible, but the "almost" solo run could be really interesting. And what if Jennifer didn't pick up the full pendant Ty dropped? It could be a two-guard run.

But just think about this, if he started in the Crypt he would've gone through all 12 rooms and not run into a single Temple Guard.  That really would've been impressive.

Yeah, that would make 2 Orange Iguana victories where the frontrunner doesn't run into any temple guards.

Yeah, I thought of that a while ago. Either way, it's an amazing run.

Nothing says Christmas like Orange and Silver.

The Lost Whale Bone of Pytheas
The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan

Seeing The Lost Whale Bone of Pytheas again reminded me of something.  You know how the final score in the Temple Games was 2-1.5 Orange? I'd like to remember how many episodes there were in which the teams tied in two out of three Temple Games.  The only other one I can think of was The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora.  Where there any others?

I'm pretty sure that "The Shriveled Hand of Efoua" fell under that category as well.

I've never seen that one, I'd like to know a little more about it (particularly the "Legend" of the Shriveled Hand.)

I think episodes like "Mush Pot Hat Of Johnny Appleseed" and "Jewled Encrusted Egg Of Katherine The Great" had 2-1.5 pendant scores.

Oh! Well, in the Shriveled Hand, the players tied the first two games, so the score was actually 2-1, not 2-1.5. I'm not sure if you were looking for that or not.

Remember back when The Smashed Printing Plate of Frederick Douglass / The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora and The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack / Ponce de Leon and the Lost Fountain of Youth gave us hope that new episodes would rotate through?

...me either.

I just noticed this, but the Blue Barracudas' prize after they lost the Temple Games consisted of WIRELESS SNES AND GENESIS CONTROLLERS.
