Slime Time Live ruined Nickelodeon.

Viacom tried to push what worked so well on MTV on its other networks, like BET (106 & Park) and Nick (STL).  Since Slime Time Live ultimately DIDN'T work, they rebounded too far in the other direction: no live a

That was around the same time they were running music videos every afternoon on Nick.

Now that I think about it, they were trying to transform it into a kid's MTV.
Crazy, but that's how it goes.

Teenick shows are mostly irritating. The only ones I can watch are iCarly and Drake and Josh. The other ones suck. Seriously. I mean, The Naked Brothers Band (horrible name, by the way) can't even sing, and I think I got bored to death watching Just Jordan. I'm glad they canceled Zoey 101 and Unfablulous, those were the worst.

Nick, has for me, sunk greatly the past few years. Too many shows rely on toilet humor for the purpose of being funny. It's just lazy, and it's counterproductive. I do agree that SpongeBob has tumbled downhill since the movie. Patrick has gotten stupider, Mr. Krabs is an even cheaper tightwad, and Squidward's an even bigger asshole. FOP fell apart, IMO, when they started overdoing the potty humor around season three. IMO, the appearance of Baby Poof was another reason for it. I don't even bother watching anymore.

The Naked Brothers Band? Please! Alex is a way better singer than Nat, but even he isn't that much of a vocal jewel. And the songs suck.

Drake and Josh went downhill because they made Megan out to be a total bitch. They ruined that character, made her absolutely unsympathetic.

There are some bright spots, though. Back at the Barnyard is pretty funny sometimes. No potty humor, either. I hope that continues. Yes, it has been renewed for a second season. I saw the movie version the show was spun off from the other day, and even though I think the talking animals genre has been bloodied from all the times Hollywood execs have beaten it, the movie was pretty good.

iCarly can be downright hilarious sometimes. I think Carly's probably the worst of the four main characters, but she has her moments. Spencer is without question the best character, great wit when he doesn't think about it. Sam is funny, too. A sharp tongue to torture Freddie.

I'll probably get laughed at for this, but I've also grown to like H2O, that series imported from Australia about those three teenage girls who turn into mermaids within ten seconds of touching water. The girls are actually good actresses, rare in a teen drama. And it can be funny, too. If the girls end up seeing a full moon, weird things happen to them. Once, one of them got a beautiful singing voice for twelve hours, and turned into a siren. Soon, every teenage boy on the Gold Coast was on her front lawn. It was hilarious watching her dad trying to make them leave.

I think Nick at Nite's finished with, too. I don't think George Lopez is a classic show in terms of how Nick at Nite used to be, but hey, I guess when they added TV Land in 1996, they figured they'd dump all the really old shows (the real classics) off on it.

Oh, I miss Ned's, too. And Legends, of course.

Personally, I can't stand Barnyard, I think it's a shining example of the horror that Nick has become. I'll admit it has a few funny moments, but the problem is, it tries too hard.

As much as I hate to admit it, iCarly can be entertaining, it isn't AS BAD as other shows.

These days, people say that by the time Fonzy jumped the shark on Happy Days, it was obvious that the series had already done so a few episodes back. I think Baby Poof's appearence is an example of just that. Odd Parents screwed up a few TV Movies back.

I'm still pissed off at the way they ended Avatar. It had so much potential, it really could have saved Nick's ass, but they didn't tap into it.

Watching the series finale, you could tell they had given up and were just trying to tie up all the plot holes so they could end the show.

Personally, the ONLY show that I watch on Nick IS iCarly, because of the overall craziness of the show. The show is SO totally of the wall that is droll, boring nick, that it works for me.

Nick may be bringing back one of their better recent shows, as Ned's may be returning in 2009 according to Devon Workheiser (Ned) as a Ned's Declassifed High School Survival Guide as he "has signed a development contract with Nickelodeon that he has signed a development contract with Nickelodeon" according to his blog.

It'd be tough to pull off the middle school sixth-grader thing again, but I could see him starring in a different show.

Yeah, but since it would revolve around High School, I think they could pull it off.
