Is this forum dead?

I hate to sound so negative but is this entire forum officially dead? I just want some clarification, please, because no one seems to be posting anymore.

Well if you think about it, this is a forum about a show that hasn't been making new episodes since 1995.  I would have to say that this is a pretty impressive forum for getting this many members for being a pretty much forgotten show.  All of the posts are now coming from the Jester's court and the dark forest because we've pretty much talked about every topic known to Legends.  My question is how can we get this forum started back up again?

I think the problem is that we began with a wave of members who arrived all at the same time, and now have gotten sick of the show simultaneously. The mods have been lightly discussing possible courses to take, but to be honest, we haven't come up with much.

We've definately been discussing this for a few months now, but we have not fully adressed the issue yet. As of now, we are going through another bad slump, following our slump of December, the Nick GaS controversy spead things up again, but we really do need to come up with some new ideas, I'd hate to see this place die.
Crazy, but that's how it goes.

I kinda agree with that, it's hard to discuss something that doesn't have any new episodes. It's also difficult to recruit new members to the forum for the same reason.

And so would I, Phantom. But whatever you (the mods) decide on doing, KINDLY remember to ask for feedback from us nonmods before implementation if the plan of action seems drastic!!!

The only way you can get a message board back up about an old TV show is by bringing back an old TV show.

There are other websites, besides YouTube that have whole seasons of TV.

I read a lot about people on this website that have their own Legends DVDs.

How I envy you, but, why not let everyone enjoy?

I regularly visit Fanpop.com, which is a website that has several TV shows already on it.

Unless TurboNick decides to put more episodes, Nick decides to make DVDs, or we can sneak more episodes onto Youtube, this seem like an OK idea.

Does anyone agree?

I could not agree more Enforcer, that is the exact reason why I have neglected to take any action yet. Despite the fact that we are slowing down in 2008, I know that there are many of you out there who like Phantom's Temple the way at is, and as much as you would hate to see it die would also hate to see it change. If that's the case then our best bet would be to come up with some new ideas for Legends discussion, however, if we honestly run out of things to talk about, then we may end up having to change the forum to keep it alive.

It's quite a dilemma.

In what ways would we have to change the forum?

One possible idea is to expand the forum's focus by involving other past Nick game shows. Other ideas include... uh...

We'll get back to you on that. :P

I'll take a look at fanpop to scope it out as a POTENTIAL recruitment territory.

However, on a more personal note, THANK YOU PHANTOM FOR THE REASSURANCE BOTH IN YOUR FAITH OF MY OPINIONS AND IN THE FUTURE OF THIS FORUM!!! To FINALLY see someone agree with me again on this forum rather than try to make me seem dumb is a WELCOME and POSITIVE turning point for me on this forum. I look forward to contributing all I can toward the advancement of this forum.

Enforcer out!

Man, your post really spoke to me right there. The ideals you had in mind in that post were the inspiration behind this forum. A place where you could post as you please without the worry of, as you put it "feeling dumb", I know we're all busy right now, but somehow or another, we WILL find a way to make it work, we will not die, mark my words, it may take some work and maybe even a little change, but Phantom's Temple will not die.

I hear ya Phantom, even though this place hasn't been active much lately, I still have high hopes for this forum. I've been pretty busy too, but I'm still stopping by here every chance I get.
