Why doesn't Nick at Nite get a channel?
« on: September 04, 2007, 06:48:58 PM »
So if Noggin and the N get their own seperate channels, shouldn't Nick and Nick at Nite get their own channels?  There are two completeley different audiences between the two I believe.

Don't they already have a "TV Land" channel established? I think Nick@Nite is there just to expand their audience since kids are not likely going to be watching Nickelodeon at 2:00AM anyway. That's all it's about--just getting the biggest audience you can with each show. Parents tend to watch TV at night, kids in the day.

Well, I'm probably oversimplifying it, but meh.

(It IS ironic, though, how a toddler's channel goes 24/7.)

Nick at Nite and TVLand are owned by the same company: Viacom.

I think the biggest problem here is making the N its own channel. They literally have less shows than GAS right now. I not positive but from what I can tell it seems  they show about 3-4 hours of programming from about 5-9 then they just repeat the exact same shows  2 or 3 times until it's time for "Max and Ruby" or whatever show comes on at 4 in the morning.
