*the camera zooms in on an ancient lush jungle, the palms are moving away as an elephant is heard. all the palms are gone, showing Olmec*

Olmec: Legends of the Hidden Temple. With your guide? Kirk Fogg!

*Kirk is shown walking down the steps of the Temple*

Olmec: And here he is now.

Kirk: Thank you everyone. Nice to see you. Hello Olmec. Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple. The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards. Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple. Which one are we going to hear about today?

Olmec: The Legend of the Blue Coat of the Turncoat.

Kirk: OH! The Blue Coat of the Turncoat! Well, one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the coat. Will it be *camera zooms into each team as they cheer & the usual* The Red Jaguars? The Blue Barracudas? The Green Monkeys? The Orange Iguanas? The Purple Parrots? Or the Silver Snakes? They?re going to have to pass some tough mental and physical tests, and in the end, only one team will have the right to enter Olmec?s temple, but first they have to cross the moat, and Olmec will tell us how they?ll have to do it today.

Olmec: Before you lies a rope, hanging in the middle of the moat. When Kirk gives the signal, the first player will jump in the moat, grab the rope, and swing across to the other side. Once the first player is across, they must throw the rope to their partner. Then it will be there turn to swing across. Once the second player is on the other side, they must run over and hit the gong. *Kirk bangs the Silver Snakes? gong*. The first four teams to hit their gong will go on to the next round.

Kirk: Okay, teams are you ready?!

*the teams cheer*

Kirk: Olmec, are you ready?!

Olmec: It?s Go Time!

Kirk: On your marks? get set? GO!!!!!

(Event occurs)

Kirk: That was Quick and easy for the four teams. Going on to the Steps of Knowledge are the Silver Snakes! (applause) The Purple Parrots! (applause) The Orange Iguanas! (applause) And the Red Jaguars! (applause) Blue Barracudas and Green Monkeys were quick, but not quick enough. We got some nice prize for them, and here's what it is.

Kirk: As the quest continues, it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about the Blue Coat of the Turncoat. But listen up, because your knowledge of the legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple.

Olmec: One the biggest turncoats, or traitors, in the world was a man name Benedict Arnold. Born in 1741, he was enlisted in the army to fight in the French-Indian War at the age of 15. Due to his experiences in war, he aided in the American Revolutionary War, and worked up into the ranks of Brigadier General with his victories in Ticonderoga, Quebec, and Saratoga. Legend has it that after the Battle in Philadelphia, the Americans had formed an alliance with France.

Arnold: ?I don?t like this at all. I know them, there too weak and will become a hindrance to us.?

Washington: ?What are you talking about. They were helpful at Saratoga and King Louis XVI had approve of this.?

Arnold: ?Well, can I at least get another promotion since I was at Saratoga too??

Washington: ?You were in Saratoga????

Olmec: Furious of this outcome, Arnold decided to betray the Americans by surrendering one of the key locations to the British: West Point. When the Americans herd about this, Arnold got on a ship and sailed to London. As for his American blue coat, he tossed it into the Atlantic Ocean, and soon found its way to the Temple. Your quest is to retrieve the Blue Coat of the Turncoat and bring it back here.

Kirk: Thank you Olmec. Can you tell us where the coat is?

*Camera shows the blue coat, and zooms out to show its location*

Olmec: The Blue Coat of the Turncoat can be found in the Cargo Hold.

Kirk: Teams, you are standing on the Steps of Knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question about the legend you just herd. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. If you?re right, you?ll move down to the next level. If you?re wrong or run out of time, I?m going to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec?s Temple. Olmec, we are now ready for your first question.

(Event Occurs)

Kirk: We got our two team for the Temple Games. They are the Red Jaguars, and the Silver Snakes. Purple Parrots and Orange Iguanas gave it a great effort, and they are not going home empty handed. We got a prize for both of them, and here it is.

*$50 Gift Card from EB Games*

Kirk: *only the Red Jaguars & Silver Snakes are present* These two teams blazed through The Moat and The Steps of Knowledge. Now they will battle it out for the chance to enter Olmec?s Temple right after this.

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends! Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest. But before we get started, let?s get to know our team players. On the Red Jaguars, we have Bart. He enjoys soccer and collecting baseball cards. And his partner Peggy loves swimming and wants to be lawyer. Let?s hear it for the Red Jaguars!

*Applause*

Kirk: And on the Silver Snakes, we have Matt. He is into history and telling jokes. And his partner Joy is into dancing and singing. Let?s hear it for the Sliver Snakes!

*Applause*

KIRK: Teams, prepare for the games while I tell them what?s going to happen. (To audience) In the temple games, teams are competing to win Pendants of Life. (Kirk pulls a pendant out of his pouch and shoves it in front of the camera.) The winning team will need these pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded temple guards as they make their way through the temple. There are three temple games. (To Olmec) Olmec, tell us about temple game number one.

Olmec: All soldiers must be in uniform by the crack of dawn in war. Today, you will practice just that. When Kirk gives the signal, jump up to the first step, grab the first piece of the uniform, and put it on. Then  jump to the second step and do it again. The first player to have all 5 pieces of the uniform on, or the one that is further along in 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Suit up soldier! Lets put 60 seconds on the clock? On Your Marks?Get Set?GO!!

(Event Occurs)

Kirk: Times up! It was hard to get that right bounce. Lets see: both Bart and Matt have 4 pieces of the uniform on, so both of them get the .5 Pendant of Life. (Applause) The next game is also worth a .5 pendant. (To Olmec) Olmec what is the next game?

Olmec: Benedict Arnold took a ship to London to escape the Americans. When Kirk gives the signal, maneuver your ship to the dock of England. If you fall, you must start over from the beginning. The first player with their feet on the dock, or the one that is further along in 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Lets set sail, put 60 seconds on the clock please?Ready?Set?GO!!
(Event occurs)

Kirk: We have a winner! Joy made it with ease so the Silver Snakes gets the .5 pendant. (Applause) Silver Snakes has a full pendant while the Red Jaguars has a .5 pendant, but the final games is worth a full pendant, and Olmec will tell us about it.

Olmec: Benedict Arnold holds victories at Ticonderoga, Quebec, and Saratoga, and Philadelphia. Before you are two British soldiers from each of the four locations. When Kirk gives the signal, load a cannonball and fire it at a British solider. Then, switch with your partner for their shot. If you hit your opponents solider, it will not reset and will count as their point. The team to knock over all 8 soldiers or the one that is ahead after 60 seconds wins.

Kirk: Lets put 60 seconds on the clock. This is for the Temple?Ready?Set?GO!!

(Event Occurs)

Kirk: Okay, that?s it! Great shots by both teams. Silver Snakes has 6, but the Red Jaguars has 7, so they get the full Pendant of Life. (Applause) Final Score: Red Jaguars a pendant and a half, Silver Snakes 1 pendant. The Red Jaguars are going to the Temple!! (Applause) Excellent job by the Silver Snakes. We have a great gift for them, here it is.

*$50 Savings Bond from Nike*

Kirk: *only the Red Jaguars are present* The Red Jaguars came from behind for the win, now lets see if they can get through Olmec's Temple, and retrieve the Blue Coat of the Turncoat after this. Stay Tuned!

Kirk: Welcome back to Legends. Congratulations to the Red Jaguars, they have proven themselves worthy, and now have earned the right to enter Olmec?s Temple. But before they get started, Olmec is going to give them some information so they can retrieve the Blue Coat of the Turncoat with ease.

Olmec: You could start by going into the Ledges, and head down into the Pit. Once there you must choose your next path. You could enter the Harp Room. Pluck the correct harp string to head down into the Room of the Headless Kings. Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the missing skull to its proper king, so you can enter the swamp. If you escape, you maybe headed into Dracula?s Layer. Spin the dial to turn night into day, but be careful a Temple Guard maybe inside the coffin. If he is, you must give up a pendant. Or you can smash into the Cargo Hold, where you can grab the blue coat. Ride the elevator up into the Silver Bell Sanctuary. Ring the correct bell to enter the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue to head into the Alphabet Room. Put the words in alphabetical order and shout out the last word to gain access into the Bee Hive. Pull the correct bee from its hive so you can enter and cross the Walk of Faith. Then enter the Room of the Bronze Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the temple gate. The choices are yours and yours alone?Good Luck!

Kirk: Okay, you guys won a pendant and a half, who will be going first?

Bart: I am.

Kirk: Very well I?ll give you the full pendant and Peggy the half pendant. *Kirk gives the pendants to the Red Jaguars* Here?s the deal, when I say go, you?ll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards to the Cargo Hold where the Blue Coat of the Turncoat is. Be careful, some doors in the Temple are locked and can pose as a dead end. Hidden inside the temple are temple guards assigned to protect three specific rooms. If you enter one of those rooms, a Temple Guard will jump out and try to take you out of the Temple. You can trade your pendant for an extra life to go on, but if you?re caught without a pendant, you will be taken out of the temple, and it will be Peggy?s turn to enter and try her luck. Hidden somewhere in the Temple is the other half of your pendant. If you can find it and you have the other half, then you will get and extra life. If you can reach the blue coat, all the doors of the temple will instantly unlock, and the temple guards will vanish. You have 3 minutes to return through the gates with the Blue Coat of the Turncoat, and for your efforts, you both will be handsomely rewarded?and here?s how!

*Going into the Temple= a Stereo*
*Reaching the Blue Coat within 3 minutes= a $1,000 Gift Card from Toys R? Us*
*Making it out of the temple with the Blue Coat within 3 minutes= a Colorado Ski Vacation*

Kirk: A Ski Trip is on the line. Bart, which way are you going, up or down?

Bart: Down.

Kirk: Okay, mouth pieces are in and Bart take your position...let's put 3 minutes on the clock...Olmec, lower your gate please.

(Olmec moans while Gate is lowered)

Kirk: On your marks...Get set...GO!!

Name of Artifact: The Blue Coat of the Turncoat
Result: Caught by all three Temple Guards
Time left: 1:00
Team: Red Jaguars
Pendants won: 1 1/2
Location of Artifact: The Cargo Hold

(Bart does what he says, and runs down to the Ledges. He maneuvers into the Pit with 2:52 left.)

(He tries to enter the Room of the Headless Kings and the Harp room, but the doors were locked. The door to the Bee Hive was open, and he entered with 2:21 to go.)

(In the Bee Hive, he pulled the correct bee, and the first Temple Guard appeared phasing him for 3 seconds. He didn?t notice the door to the Alphabet Room was open and entered the Harp Room with 2:10.)

(As soon as his feet touched the floor of the Harp Room, a Temple Guard popped out and it was now Peggy?s Turn with 2:02 to go.)

Kirk: Gook Luck Peggy!

(Peggy DID notice that the door to the Alphabet Room was opened, entered with 1:44 left. However, the Harp Room contained the missing half pendant.)

(She assembles the words ?Purple,? ?Parrot,? and ?Proud? in order, but shouts the first word instead of the last word. This delayed her, but she did say the last word and enters the Shrine of the Silver Monkey with 1:07 left.)

Peggy: ?Parrot?Parrot?Purple!

(As soon as she grabbed the base of the monkey, the third Temple guard came out, and it was game over with a minute left.)

KIRK: Awww! There?s the third Temple Guard. Game over for the Red Jaguars! I guess the Temple Guards didn?t think they were worthy enough. But, they gave it a good effort and won the stereo. Join us again next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Bye-Bye!
