In non playoff-related news, the Bills are close to hiring Rex Ryan as their new head coach, and Greg Roman as their new offensive coordinator:

Quote
The Buffalo Bills are putting the finishing touches on a five-year deal that will make Rex Ryan their next head coach, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The hiring of Ryan, who will earn a salary of $5.5 million per year, would complete an extensive coaching search for the Bills, who have interviewed 12 candidates since Doug Marrone opted out of his contract on Dec. 31.

The Bills conducted a second interview with Ryan on Saturday night, sources told ESPN. He also interviewed for the Falcons' coaching vacancy. But when the Falcons dragged their feet on hiring Ryan, which they strongly considered doing at one point last week, he agreed to Buffalo's wishes for a second interview and the new deal, sources told ESPN.

Ryan and the Bills are expected to hire 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman to the same position in Buffalo, sources told ESPN. Ryan and Roman previously worked together as assistant coaches with the Ravens.

Word, even though I respect what both players have done to New England. I do respect how they pretty much made New England a dynasty and the most feared team in the league. I want the Ravens to be like that again some day. As for the game itself, I really am not that upset. I am proud of the Ravens this year as they took a huge step forward despite the fact they faced the Ray Rice incident and the injury bug to their secondary. They really should've beaten New England, but I am glad they gave them a run for their money. I really hope the Colts represent the AFC now.

The Packers right now are leading in the fourth quarter. I hope they keep the lead too because I just can't stand to see the Cowboys be successful. :P

And Green Bay wins!

That means next week will be Green Bay @ Seattle for the NFC champion. And if you remember, Green Bay @ Seattle was the very first game of the season. Now, the same match-up will determine which team will go represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

I am so happy! We beat the Refs & the Cowboys! Dez Bryant tried to gamble to get a TD on 4th down and he dropped the ball.

Dear Seattle,

Come and get some

Regards,
Packers.

And with that, everyone outside of New England will be rooting for the Colts next week.

Another Colts vs. Patriots AFCCG? Oh wait, this time there is no Peyton Manning!  :mrblue: I am definitely rooting for the Colts next week too. ;)

Here are my early predictions for the AFC/NFCCG:

Green vs. Seattle (Seattle already spanked GB at home this season, and I don't expect much to change. GB has sort of struggled against good teams on the road too)
Indianapolis vs. New England (Don't want to see this happen at all, but the Patriots have Luck and Indy's number)

So if it turns out right, the SB will be:

New England vs. Seattle

Which is actually a pretty interesting matchup. And I will support Seattle easily too. ;)

I have the Seahawks and Colts winning. If it happens, then I don't know who to root for.

Cowboys had some bad karma yesterday. Last week, they had a call go in their favor with the PI flag pick up. This time, Dez looked like he caught the ball and it was originally ruled a catch, but it was reversed. Honestly, I thought it was a catch. However, I'm not complaining. What goes around comes around. :P

Yea, tough loss for the Pack. Definitely feel for them. Although I do think they got screwed over by the NFL's overtime rules. It's completely BS that they didn't even get a chance to tie it again. I still think the NFL would be better off going to NCAA overtime rules:

Quote
When a game goes to overtime, each team is given one possession from its opponent's twenty-five yard line with no game clock, despite the one timeout per period and use of play clock. The team leading after both possessions is declared the winner. If the teams remain tied, overtime periods continue, with a coin flip determining the first possession. Possessions alternate with each overtime, until one team leads the other at the end of the overtime. Starting with the third overtime, a one point PAT field goal after a touchdown is no longer allowed, forcing teams to attempt a two-point conversion after a touchdown.

I feel really bad for GM1 and his Packers. That is a tough way to go out. That has got to be the luckiest win I've ever seen from any team.

I do agree that the OT rules need changed to allow the other team a chance to at least possess the ball. Don't know if going with the NCAA rules would work or not, but it would be better than what we've got now.

As long as the Patriots don't win, I'm good.
