PACKERS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!! :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:  :mryellow:

Even though Rodgers got hurt early, he only missed 2 possessions and came back and pulled off the big victory. Now we get the 2 seed and the Bye!

Chargers really laid an egg! Losing to KC with a backup.

Seahawks grab the 1. This sucks

What happened to the Falcons. They didn't even show up against Carolina. The Panthers ran right through them. Mike Smith deserves to be fired.

Here are the playoffs
NFC:
1. Seahawks
2. Packers
3. Cowboys
4. Panthers
5. Cardinals
6. Lions

AFC:
1. Patriots
2. Broncos
3. Bengals/Steelers
4. Colts
5. Bengals/Steelers
6. Ravens

Isn't it possible for the Bengals to get a first round bye if they beat the Steelers? They will be 11-4-1 and the Broncos will be 12-4. But the tiebreaker will give the Bengals the edge even if they have one less win. I need to check though or otherwise the Ravens will get a division rival in their first playoff game. :o

Not anymore, they needed Denver to lose, which they didn't.

I'm kind of torn on whether or not I want us to lose this game. On one hand, I don't want us to face the Ravens in the first round. That matchup could be the end of our Super Bowl hopes. We might be better off facing the Colts despite it being at Indy. On the other hand, I want us to win this division. I don't want the Bengals to win it. I can't stand them.

What a dilemma. :blank:

Steelers win to take the #3 seed. That means Ravens will face the Steelers for sure in the WC round. This is the third time they face in Flacco's career, and he is 0-2 against them in the playoffs. Can Flacco right the ship and actually beat Big Ben in the playoffs?

So the official WC games look like this

Detroit @ Dallas
Arizona @ Carolina

Baltimore  @ Pittsburgh
Cincinnati @ Indianapolis

I can't believe the regular season is over with too! It really did breeze by fast this year. Also, 4/5 of our teams made it to the playoffs this year. The odd man out was TSM's Bills, who did come close. Maybe one of our teams will go all the way?

Throughout the season, I've made a Power Rankings to see how the teams have moved. I finally got a chart for it.

The formula was:
1. Overall record
2. Same record, then Points Scored
3. Same record, same points scored, then Points Allowed
4. If all else fails, overall ranking from last year (I only went here once)

Here were the rankings:
1. Green Bay Packers: As long as Rodgers stays healthy, this is a Super Bowl favorite to consider. Defense has improved big time, and the running game has just got more dangerous. R-E-L-A-X
2. Denver Broncos: Manning is starting to slow up, but as long as he is still around, the Broncos can go far.
3. New England Patriots: New England is once again a Super Bowl favorite, and might end up with the Lombardi Trophy for a fourth time, as long as the injury bug doesn't become serious.
4. Dallas Cowboys: At the beginning of the season, who though the Cowboys would be here? Besides from die hards, probably no one. Now, they have a team that reminds everyone of the 90's dynasties.
5. Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks are returning to championship form & have homefield advantage in the NFC. That is a huge problem for Green Bay, Dallas, Carolina, Arizona, & Detroit if they get there.
6. Indianapolis Colts: Indy is slowing up lately, hopefully it doesn't haunt them against Cincy.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers: Good news: The Steelers recovered from unexpected losses to get a home playoff game. Bad News: They might  not have Bell against their hated rival Baltimore.
8. Detroit Lions: I was just about to say something, but my leg keeps getting stomped on by Raiola & Suh.
9. Arizona Cardinals: The Cards are the first team since the 2000 Bucs to be in the playoffs the same year they host the Super Bowl. However, injuries and a slowing defense blew their load in the NFC West and fell to the Wild Card. It is a really steep climb if they want to go to the Super Bowl in their stadium with Lindley at QB.
10. Cincinnati Bengals: To end their playoff win drought, they have to go to a team that shut them out earlier in the year. Not a good sign for Dalton, especially if A.J. Green can't go.
11. Philadelphia Eagles: What has happened here? After Thanksgiving, everyone thought they'd run away with the division. Now, they were the odd team out even with a 10-6 record. Time to go back to the drawing board.
12. Baltimore Ravens: Great recovery from the Houston debacle with a resurgence against Cleveland. With a late Christmas gift from Kansas City, the Ravens punched their ticket. Possible sleeper here.
13. Houston Texans: Too little too late for the up and coming Texans. Gotta give Bill O'Brian some credit taking the worst team last year to the last week of the season with playoff hopes. They might be a contender next year.
14. Kansas City Chiefs: If this team didn't lose to the Raiders & Titans earlier in the year, KC would be back in the playoffs. Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda year for the Chiefs, as they got a very talented team to contend for some time.
15. San Diego Chargers: What a disaster second half of the year it has been. San Diego was doing so well early, but couldn't keep the momentum.
16. Buffalo Bills: Getting late season wins against the Packers & Patriots will help an up & coming Bills team that has the longest playoff drought at 15 years. However, they need E.J. Manuel to have a great year, or get a good QB gem late in the draft (no 1st rounder) if they want to be a playoff team next year.
17. Miami Dolphins: Another year or two from becoming a contender. They need to find some good players and Tannehill is almost a good QB.
18. San Francisco 49ers: What a waste of a season with hopes. Now that Harbaugh is gone, who can replace what he has done here. He had 3 NFC Championship appearances and a Super Bowl appearance with this team.
19. Carolina Panthers: Their record may not show, but the Panthers are a team you don't want to play right now. They have become dangerous at the right time and after all, despite 7-8-1, may make a Super Bowl threat. Wouldn't that be the apocalypse if a team from the worst division makes it to the Super Bowl?
20. New Orleans Saints: This should've never happened. Brees had a really bad year, and the Saints somehow lost 5 straight at home to end the year. Rebuilding time in New Orleans.
21. Minnesota Vikings: Turns out that Bridgewater might've been a gem. The Vikings are couple of pieces away from being a big contender.
22. Cleveland Browns: This is a joke of a franchise once again. Losing 5 straight to end the year with not one but two first round busts? Typical Cleveland.
23. Atlanta Falcons: Time to clean house in Atlanta. What a dysfunctional way to end the year. Mike Smith deserved his pink slip.
24. New York Giants: The Giants might be ready to be a sneaky team for the playoffs next year. Odell Beckham made his case for Rookie of the Year.
25. St. Louis Rams: Need more pieces to be real contender in the West. Arizona took the role I though St. Louis would have.
26. Chicago Bears: Absolute joke of a franchise. They blew their load with the Cutler deal.
27. Washington Redskins: Looked good against Philly, got destroyed against Dallas. Needs a brand new defense.
28. New York Jets: Now who is the next Jets coach to be made fun of and be criticized by the New York media?
29. Oakland Raiders: Playing as a spoiler late while destroying some teams playoff hopes worked. A few years and pieces away though from contending.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags rebuilding process took a minor setback. But Gus Bradley is controlling it in the right direction. As soon as he gets his guys in a couple years, this is a playoff team.
31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Supposidly dark horse went to waste this year. Good luck with Mariotta.
32. Tennessee Titans: Years & years away from contending.

Final Power Ranking chart:

Add the Bills to the list of teams in the market for a new head coach. Marrone has opted out of his contract:

Quote
Doug Marrone has opted out of his contract as coach of the Buffalo Bills and is now a free agent to pursue other jobs available in the NFL.

Marrone exercised the unique option during the final hours of a three-day window that opened Monday, stipulated in the four-year contract he signed with the Bills in 2013. The opt-out clause was included in the original contract in the event of an ownership change, which occurred when Terry and Kim Pegula purchased the franchise in October.

"We are disappointed that Coach Marrone will no longer be an important part of our organization," Bills owner Terry Pegula said in a statement. "We thank him for all of his hard work and leadership during his tenure and wish him and his family the best with the next chapter in their lives.

"We will now begin the important process of conducting a thorough search for a new head coach as we continue to strive to reach our goal of returning to the playoffs and bringing a championship to Buffalo for our fans."

Playoff picks

Lions vs Cowboys (I hate the Lions, plus Dallas looks better)
Ravens vs Steelers (Unsure here, but I think the Steelers will win with or without Bell)
Bengals vs Colts (Colts have struggled)
Cardinals vs Panthers (This feels weird, but an NFC South teams advanced)

So the Divisional round will be.

Bengals vs Patriots
Panthers vs Seahawks
Cowboys vs Packers
Steelers vs Broncos

My turn!

Lions vs Cowboys (Yes, the Cowboys will win their second playoff game in 17 years. :P The Lions struggle against teams with winning records and are not a very good road team)
Ravens vs Steelers (Ravens have never beat Steelers in playoffs and Flacco is 0-2. Flacco can be dangerous in the playoffs though and the loss of Bell will hurt Pitt. Basically, this is a homer pick.)
Bengals vs Colts (Colts already shut out the Bengals at home earlier in the season, BUT I think the Bengals will be tougher this time. I am still giving it to Indy though because Dalton sucks against good teams.)
Cardinals vs Panthers (Yes, a pathetic NFC South team will advance. But the Panthers have played better recently and they should beat the lowly Cardinals that have Ryan Lindley as their QB.)

If this all plays out, then mine will look similar to GM1's.

Dallas vs. Green Bay
Carolina vs. Seattle
Baltimore vs. New England
Indianapolis vs. Denver

Here's what I have:

Lions vs Cowboys (as long as Suh doesn't stomp on Romo, the Cowboys should beat a Lions team that can't beat good teams on the road with Stafford)
Ravens vs Steelers (even without Bell, I still think the Steelers win thanks to home field advantage)
Bengals vs Colts (there needs to be one upset and I think this will be it. It's not prime time, so there's that)
Cardinals vs Panthers (could go either way even with Lindley at QB thanks to their defense, but the Panthers should win if Cam plays well)

Now for the next round match-ups if it plays out like this:

Dallas at Green Bay
Carolina at Seattle
Pittsburgh at Denver
Cincinnati at New England

I knew the Cardinals weren't going to win with a 3rd string QB, but they were embarrassing. 70 Yds of total offense, worst in playoff history.

Carolina might be a legitimate threat.  :mrblue: :mrchameleon:

It's hard to say how the Panthers will fare. I definitely don't think they are as bad as their losing record, but beating the Ryan Lindley at home isn't very impressive either. Especially since they almost blew it in the 4th quarter where Newton had the ball punched out of his hand to force a fumble on Carolina.

If Dallas wins tomorrow, then Carolina will have to face Seattle. If Detroit wins, then they will face Green Bay.

Now it is time for Ravens-Steelers!  :mrpurple:  :mryellow:

I don't know what to say. We just played like crap tonight, especially on 3rd down. I just hope the Ravens are able to take out the Pats because the way we played, we wouldn't have been able to do it.
