Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 61px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren."

"Well, the adventure is set," Kirk says in response, "and one of these teams will have the chance to retrieve Bonnet.  Will it be:
"Steve and Kendall of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Kris and Ashley of the Blue Barracudas,
"Michael and Megan of the Green Monkeys,
"Kenta and Alison of the Orange Iguanas,
"James and Samantha of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Thomas and Morgan of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass many physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they?ll have to cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today??
"Hey, the Moat's totally frozen! So when I say go, one player from each team has to crawl through the holes in the boards that?re laying across the ice until they reach the other side of the Moat.  Then their partner will crawl over through the holes."
"When the second player crawls out onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will be going into the next round.  Teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Let?s get it on!" Olmec replies.
"All right!" Kirk says in response. "On your marks, get set, GO!"

The first players of each team take off at their own paces; the boys on the Green Monkeys and Silver Snakes end up furthest behind fairly quickly.  The boy on the Blue Barracudas becomes the first? and by a significant lead? to make it through all four partitions and get to the other side of the frozen Moat; the boy on the Orange Iguanas makes it across some fifteen seconds later.
?They gotta snakes their way through,? Kirk explains as the boy on the Purple Parrots makes it across, ?and it?s tough!? The Green Monkeys become the last team get a player across; by then, the girls on the other teams have already made a good amount of progress.  The second player on the Red Jaguars did an impressive job of making up for lost time; after crawling through the four holes, the girls on the Red Jaguars and Blue Barracudas hit their teams? gongs within seconds of each other.
?There?s our first two teams going on! We need two more!? shouts Kirk.  After a while longer, two more gong sounds are heard. ?And that?s it! We got our four teams!?
The next thing the camera shows is Kirk next to the Red Jaguars and the team?s lit gong. ?Red Jaguars staged a nice come-from-behind, and now they?re going on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Blue Barracudas?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying team? ?and the Orange Iguanas? and the Purple Parrots! Green Monkeys and Silver Snakes, they gave it a great effort too.  They won?t be going away empty-handed; we got a great gift for them and here?s what it is.? Michael, Megan, Thomas and Morgan will each be receiving an Armitron watch.

Rediscovery EP: The Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren
« Reply #1 on: July 31, 2009, 10:40:56 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren.  Pay attention, teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to the Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"If there was any one woman who made a mark on the American Revolution, it was Mercy Otis Warren.  She was the first female playwright in the country and known as the 'Conscience of the American Revolution.' She helped out the Sons of Liberty by making her parlor into a conference room for them, but legend has it that one night, while there was a meeting going on, General Howe for the British army knocked on her door.
" 'Madam,' he started, 'I have reason to believe you?re holding meetings in your house for the Sons of Liberty.'
" 'Oh, most certainly not!' lied Mercy, making sure her guests could hear her.  They were sneaking out as she kept the general busy. 'I wouldn?t be caught dead with those troublemakers! But while you?re here, let me get you some food.'
"Mercy went to lead General Howe into the kitchen, but he grabbed her arm.
" 'They WERE here!' he said.  Mercy gave him her bonnet as collateral and slipped out of the house, disappearing into the night.  General Howe swore he?d find her and have her arrested, but he never did, and her bonnet made its way to the Temple.  You must find the Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren and bring it here."

"Thanks Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So tell us, where is the Bonnet?"
Olmec replies:
"The Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren can be found in the Junction of the Secret Shafts." The camera zooms in on the Bonnet lying on the outside wall of the Junction of the Secret Shafts, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you?ll move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we?re ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Mercy Otis Warren involved in the: French Revolution, Russian Revolution???
Ashley cuts off Olmec: ?American Revolution.?
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Nice job, Blue Barracudas, step down,? says Kirk, and the Blue Barracudas move down to the second step. ?Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?According to our legend, was she visited by: General Cornwallis, General Howe or General Specific??
Steve hits the marking first: ?General Howe???
?Correct,? Olmec replies.
?Red Jaguars, step down!? remarks Kirk, and the Red Jaguars move down alongside the Blue Barracudas. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec then asks:
?Did Mercy offer her parlor as a conference room for the: Sons of Liberty, Daughters of Liberty or Lady Liberty??
Kenta rings in: ?Daughters of Liberty???
?Incorrect,? Olmec says.
Ashley stomps down and answers: ?Sons of Liberty.?
?That is correct.?
?Blue Barracudas now just one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk comments as the Blue Barracudas move down again. ?We?re looking for two teams.  Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec asks:
?Was Mercy Otis Warren known as the: Conscience of the American Revolution, Mind of the American Revolution or Soul of???
Kris buzzes in: ?Conscience of the Revolution???
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Blue Barracudas jump down onto the bottommost step.
?Just like that, we got our first team going on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces. ?We?re looking for one more, but will it be the Red Jaguars, Purple Parrots or Orange Iguanas? Next question.?
Olmec continues:
?During the American Revolution, was the king of England: James the First, George the Third or Henry the Eighth??
Kenta hits the marking first: ?James the First???
?Incorrect.?
Kendall stomps in and guesses: ?George the Third???
?That is correct,? answers Olmec, and the Red Jaguars step down again.
?Red Jaguars now just one step away from the Temple Games,? comments Kirk. ?The other teams can still catch up.  Olmec, continue.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?According to our legend, did Mercy try to invite General H???
Kenta interrupts Olmec this time: ?Invite General Howe???
?That is not one of the three choices,? replies Olmec.
James rings in: ?Invite him inside for dinner???
?Correct.?
?Orange Iguanas can still get in this,? Kirk reminds everyone as the Purple Parrots move down to the second step. ?Let?s keep going.?
Olmec now asks:
?When he tried to arrest her, did Mercy give the general???
James cuts Olmec off: ?She gave him her bonnet???
?That is correct.?
?Purple Parrots coming from behind and now just one step away from the games!? Kirk remarks as the Purple Parrots move down another step. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?During the American Revolution, was a colonist against the king called a: Whig, Twig or Brig??
Samantha buzzes in: ?Uh? Whig???
?THAT IS CORRECT!?
The Purple Parrots hop down onto the bottom step alongside the Blue Barracudas, and Kirk appears and slips in behind the two qualifying teams. ?We got our two teams!? he declares. ?The Blue Barracudas, and the come-from-behind Purple Parrots! Red Jaguars, Orange Iguanas, you gave it a great effort too.  You?re not going away empty-handed, we got a great gift for you and here?s what it is.?
Dee reads the consolation prize:
"Look at the entertaining fun you?ll have when you strap on Moon Shoes.  Super excitement is yours when you bounce higher than ever! Don?t leave Earth without Moon Shoes, from Big Time Toys!"
The camera cuts back to Kirk and the two qualifying teams. ?These two teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera goes along the wall of the Temple and closes in on Olmec himself before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren
« Reply #2 on: July 31, 2009, 10:47:42 PM »
Kirk is standing in front of the Mine Shaft between the last two teams. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now is the time when the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest? so let?s hear it for Samantha and James of the Purple Parrots!? The brunette girl with freckles and hazel-eyed boy clap along with the audience. ?And Ashley and Kris of the Blue Barracudas!? The camera closes in on the curly-blond-haired girl and brown-haired boy as the audience applauds for them. ?You guys ready to play?? Kirk asks.
?YEAH!? The players shout their reply.
?All right! Go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says.  Samantha and Ashley then walk offscreen in one direction, Kris and James in another. ?In the Temple Games, each team is competing for?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "these Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need the Pendants to protect them from the DREADED Temple Guards as they make their way through Olmec?s Temple.  There are three Temple Games, and Olmec will tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?Since Mercy Otis Warren was often under surveillance by British troops, the Sons of Liberty sometimes had to be very sneaky with getting to her home for their meetings.  In this game, you must take an indirect route through the forest at night with a torch to light the way.  When Kirk gives the signal, put your torch behind your head and make your way through the forest.  Whenever you come to two branches, you must find a way to maneuver between or around them, keeping your torch behind your head and both of your hands on it.
?The first player to leave the forest? or the player that?s closest to the end after 60 seconds wins.?
The camera segues to Kirk. ?Better be careful not to burn up the trees with that torch,?  he says to the players before turning to the camera. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? A countdown clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Ashley and Samantha take off into the forests, but within fifteen seconds, Ashley has a clear lead; she?s almost halfway through the forest while Samantha is only about a third of the way to the end.  Near the end, however, Ashley takes a bit of a wrong turn that slows her down and lets Samantha close the gap a bit, but eventually she gets out first anyway, with twenty seconds left.
?Okay, that?s it!? Kirk announces, and Ashley runs over to meet him.  Samantha emerges from her forest about six seconds later. ?Blue Barracudas got out first, giving a half Pendant of Life to the Blue Barracudas!? Ashley drops the rod in her hand and jumps up and down as the audience applauds. ?She?s excited! Next game?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Mercy Otis Warren was caught in the middle of the Revolutionary War, helping the Americans against the British.  Luckily for you, in this game, you will only have to take down four of the British soldiers.  When Kirk gives the signal, lob a cannonball at one of the soldiers on the wall.  Then, load another cannonball in the slingshot and shoot again.
?The first player to knock down all four soldiers ? or the player that?s knocked over the most soldiers in 60 seconds? wins.?
?Let?s see how the players can handle the battlefield,? Kirk comments. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Neither player gets it on the first try, but Kris knocks over his second-from-right target on his second attempt.  After that, no more targets are knocked over until about 39 seconds, when James knocks down the leftmost target for the Parrots.  He later gets the second-leftmost target with 32 seconds to go.
?Purple Parrots taken the lead!? Kirk comments as Kris fails to hit a target hard enough. ?He thought he had it, it?s stand? Blue Parrots score two!? Kris gets the second point for the Blue Barracudas with 24 seconds to go.  For the remainder of the game, most of the hits are again close but inaccurate.  There are some that hit but not hard enough; James even tries to knock down both of his remaining targets with one shot, but the ball gets caught between the two.
?Oh! Thought he could get them both!? Kirk remarks as Kris knocks over his leftmost target at :10 for the Blue Barracudas. ?Blue Barracudas score again, that?s three!? Shortly after, time runs out.  A pattern of ceiling spotlights flashes to indicate the end of the Temple Game.
?All right, time?s up!? announces Kirk, running onscreen to declare a winner. ?Purple Parrots got two targets, Blue Barracudas got three, so they get a full Pendant!? The audience applauds again. ?So the Blue Barracudas have a full Pendant, Purple Parrots haven?t scored, but this next game is worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?According to legend, Mercy Otis Warren also helped the Sons of Liberty by relaying messages back and forth.  In this game, you must share secret messages with your partner.  When Kirk gives the signal, grab a secret message and walk out to meet your partner at the middle of the path.  Then pass the message to your partner, who will slide back and place it in your bin.  Then do it again.
?The team with the most secret messages in their bin after 60 seconds wins.?
?Purple Parrots need this to tie,? Kirk explains. ?60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
As soon as Kirk shouts ?go,? the players walk against the force of the bungee cords attaching them to the walls behind them using the handholds in the raised sides of the tracks.  The teams are neck-and-neck at first; both make the first transfer at about :50 and get the messages in the bins at the :47 mark.  Kris of the Blue Barracudas has trouble getting up to the middle on the second time, though; the Purple Parrots score their second point before the Barracudas can, doing so with 36 seconds remaining.  However, the Barracudas even the score again at :31.
?This takes a lot of coordination,? Kirk comments as the latter half of the game begins.  The Parrots score again with 22 seconds remaining, while Kris still has to scramble for the Barracudas, who score a third time with 18 seconds to go.  The Parrots make their fourth transfer with only eight seconds left, but the Barracudas are about to catch up.  However, Ashley?s bungee cord yanks her backwards right after Kris reaches the midpoint of the track, and though she makes a desperate reach, she can?t make contact with the message.  The ceiling spotlights flash again when time runs out, and Kirk appears onscreen.
?All right,? Kirk says as he walks down along the space between the tracks and grabs the teams? bins.  The kids run over to join him as soon as they can. ?Purple Parrots need this one to tie up.  Blue Barracudas got one, two? three messages, Purple Parrots got one, two, three, ? four messages! They get the full Pendant, that gives them a Pendant, the Blue Barracudas have a Pendant? it?s a tie! Bring in the tiebreaker pedestals!?

?Okay, just stand behind there, Blue over there, Purple over there,? Kirk says, and the players follow Kirk?s gestures and stand behind the pedestals. ?Okay, here?s the tiebreaker rules.  In a second, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you.  You?ll have three seconds to answer and I must accept your first response.  If you?re right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple in search of the Bonnet, but if you?re wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other team a chance.  All clear?"
The players nod in response.
"All right, Olmec!" Kirk shouts. "What?s the final question??

Olmec asks:
?Which of these drinks was taxed during the Revolution: Coffee, Tea or Water??
The Blue Barracudas hit the gong first and Kris answers: ?Tea???
?That? is? correct,? Olmec replies, and Kris and Ashley high-five while jumping up and down as a celebration.
?Olmec?s made his decision!? Kirk announces. ?He?s sending the Blue Barracudas in to the Temple!? Kirk then goes to stand by the other team. ?The Purple Parrots gave it a great effort too all the way through, it was a close match.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? James and Samantha will each be receiving a copy of the Ape Escape 3 PlayStation 2 game.
Kirk is now standing behind the tiebreaker pedestal between Ashley and Kris. ?They?re fired up, and now we?ll see if the Blue Barracudas can make it through Olmec?s Temple and retrieve the Bonnet,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera races across the set and zooms in on the Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren in the Junction of the Secret Shafts before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren
« Reply #3 on: July 31, 2009, 10:51:41 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs to the camera-right of Kris and Ashley. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera before turning to talk to the players. "You two have proven yourselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter the Temple.  But first, here?s some information to help you retrieve that Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, where you can grab the Bonnet.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Geographer?s Study.  Take the correct book off the bookshelf, and put it on the pedestal in the front of the room to open the door? to the Shrine? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, and you could advance into the Laser Light Room.  Find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Arctic Antechamber, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 Pendant in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," says Kris.
"Very well, Kris," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Bonnet.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Ashley's turn to enter and try her luck.  Hidden somewhere in the Temple are the two halves of your Pendant.  If you can find both of them, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Bonnet, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how!"
?   For just getting into the Temple, they?re both going to get a skateboard provided by Vans.
?   If they can reach the Bonnet within three minutes, they?re also going to get a set of microscopes courtesy of Tasco.
?   And if they can get the Bonnet out of the Temple before 3 minutes is up, they?ll both be going to the Bahamas! The Bahamas Princess Resort, on exciting Grand Bahama Island, offering tennis, swimming and international entertainment.  Fun for the whole family! Bahamas Princess Resort, for a prize package totaling $10,824!

"Can the Blue Barracudas get to the Bonnet? Can they make it out in three minutes?" Kirk asks the camera. "We?re about to see.  Kris, let's get you out in front.  Put your mouthpieces in.  Let's lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec groans gutturally as he lowers the gate; the blue lights under him are turned off.
"Set the clock for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There he goes! Up into the Temple!? a voice-over declares as Kris jogs up into the Arctic Antechamber. ?He?s got just one Pendant, how far can that take him?? Kris runs through the first ice wall, but then backs out of the portal he just created and goes down the ladder in the middle of the room into the Crevasse (2:45). ?He?s going down, into the Ledges? hopefully that?ll take him somewhere!? Kris goes through the upper crawl tube into the Mine Shaft, then gets to work placing rocks in the bucket.  It takes five to raise the rock slab, and Kris goes on into the Crystal Cave with 2:24 remaining.  He pulls down all three stalactites, with the last one he pulls? the one stage-left of the ladder? opening the door leading into the Dragon?s Lair.  Kris looks over and tries to pull the door leading into the Junction of the Secret Shafts open (2:05), but no dice. ?He wanted to go on, but that door?s not gonna open!? the voice-over explains. ?He?s gotta go up into the Dragon Room and put the horns in the head!? Kris climbs up the ladder with a bit of hesitation, but when he?s in the room with 1:53 remaining, out jumps the first TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! Give ?em the Pendant, Kris!? Kirk shouts out. ?Give ?em the Pendant!? Kris finally hands over the Pendant of Life, then goes to the front of the Dragon?s Lair where the four dragon horns are.  He grabs the horns one at a time and puts each in one of the holes in the dragon head.  After he puts the last one in with 1:33 on the clock, the mystic pattern on the walls lights up violet and a roar is heard as the paper-thin sheet in the back of the room shoots up, revealing the ladder leading up into the Laser Light Room.  Kris starts up the ladder, but before he disappears into the room above, he glances over at the door leading into the Knights? Barracks and goes in.
?He stopped himself, but maybe he?s got a plan,? comments Kirk as Kris enters the Knights? Barracks with 1:26 to go.  He grabs the sword on the railing in the front of the room and puts it in all three sheaths.  When Kris tries the stage-left sheath, though, the gauntlets in the respective armor come to life and grab him? the armor?s possessed by a TEMPLE SPIRIT!
?He?s taken out of the Temple! Go Ashley!? Kirk shouts out, and Ashley launches into the Temple with 1:11 remaining.  She slides down into the Crevasse and follows Kris?s path from there. ?Into the Crystal Room? Into the Dragon?s Room? She?s into the Room of the Shrine of the Silver Monkey! Forty-three seconds!? Ashley gets up on the shelves and goes around the room, collecting all three pieces in one fell swoop. ?First the base?? Ashley spends a couple of seconds pushing down a corner of the base that she has trouble getting to stay down. ?Then the middle?? She spends a second getting the torso of the statue into the proper position; it?s turned a bit oddly at first. ?And now the head! Jam the head!? Ashley forces the head down into the statue, completing the objective with 26 seconds to go.  She takes a second to look around at any doors that have opened, then climbs down into the Switch Inferno.
?She?s now just one room away? from the object!? remarks Kirk as Ashley begins to hit the actuators on the walls. ?Kris?s goin? wild!? Ashley starts on the left wall, hitting all four actuators there.  She then moves to the back wall, where the last actuator she hits triggers the door with twelve seconds remaining.  She climbs through an opening golden door into the Junction of the Secret Shafts, and with six seconds remaining, she grabs the BONNET!
?SHE?S GOT IT!? yells Kirk. ?All the doors are open!? Ashley heads through into the Crystal Cave? but we?re out of time!
?She got the Bonnet!? Kirk announces. ?She did a great job, and Kris cleared out a major path.  They get the skateboards and the microscopes, and we gotta get outta here.  Join us again next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple!? Kris and Kirk wave to the camera.  Shots of the Dragon?s Lair, Junction of the Secret Shafts and Laser Light Room are shown as the credits roll.

Rediscovery EP: The Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren
« Reply #4 on: July 31, 2009, 11:02:29 PM »
Temple Run Summary
Episode 61px]

Name of Artifact: The Bonnet of Mercy Otis Warren
Season: 2
Layout: 4 (8 overall)
Result: Did not escape in time
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Blue Barracudas
Pendants Won: 1
Location of Artifact: The Junction of the Secret Shafts

Usually in a pairing of a smart player and a not-so-good player, the girl is the worse of the two, but it was vice versa in this run.  Kris failed to try all three ice walls in the Arctic Antechamber, instead climbing down into the Crevasse after only breaking through one.  He then proceeded across to the Crystal Cave, where he tried to pry the door leading into the Junction of the Secret Shafts open.  After a bit more stalling, hesitancy and indecision, Kris met his first Temple Guard in the Dragon's Lair and was taken out in the Knights' Barracks, leaving only seventy-one seconds to get any work done.

Ashley didn't do anything wrong; her biggest problem was getting a corner of the silver monkey base into position, but she still put the statue together in a swift fifteen seconds.  She even grabbed the Bonnet with six seconds remaining, but obviously, she didn't make it out.

Trivia and Records:
Kris is one of only a few players who failed to try all the ice walls in the Arctic Antechamber; this only occurred three more times.  The Temple Guard placement in the Dragon's Lair was unusual, because the upward passage DID open after Kris completed the objective, but the Temple Guard appeared immediately rather than waiting behind the panel blocking off the ladder leading up into the Laser Light Room.

Also, how's this for coincidence? This artifact and the Bonnet of Dolley Madison in the second season of the original show were hidden in the same room space and both grabbed by girls named Ashley (or some variant thereof) who descended vertically from the Shrine as part of their path but couldn't escape in time.
