Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 60px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of Rutherford?s Gold Foil."

"Oh, Rutherford?s Gold Foil!" Kirk says in response. "Well the legend is set, and one of these teams will have the chance to retrieve Rutherford?s Gold Foil.  Will it be:
"Damian and Jennifer of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Bryan and Monica of the Blue Barracudas,
"Tim and Olivia of the Green Monkeys,
"Malik and Ashley of the Orange Iguanas,
"Austin and Sierra of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Jalen and Danielle of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass many physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they?ll have to cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today??
"Oh, the Moat's frozen solid! So when I say go, one player from each team will crawl through the holes in the boards that?re laying across the ice until they reach the other side of the Moat.  Then their partner will crawl through the holes until they get across."
"When the second player crawls out onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will be going into the next round.  Hey teams? are ya ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Let?s get rollin?!" Olmec replies.
"All right!" Kirk laughs in response. "Teams: On your marks, get set, GO!"

?Bombs away, they launch themselves into the Moat!? shouts Kirk.  The teams take off, but the Green Monkeys and Orange Iguanas are slightly behind from the beginning.  After some struggling by every member, the Purple Parrots become the first team to get a member across the Moat.  The Red Jaguars follow suit, then the Silver Snakes and Blue Barracudas.
?It?s tough to get through those holes,? Kirk explains as the teams? second players get started.  The girl on the Green Monkeys is noticeably faster than her partner was, while the girls on the Red Jaguars and Purple Parrots are slower than their partners.  Because of that, the Silver Snakes become the first team to hit their gong.
?All right, there?s one team!? announces Kirk.  The Purple Parrot girl makes it across. ?There?s two!? Two more gong sounds are heard.  ?And that?s it! We got our four teams!?
The camera shifts to Kirk standing with the Red Jaguars, who are hugging and jumping up and down. ?The Red Jaguars did a nice job getting across the Moat.  They?ll be going on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Green Monkeys?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying team, holding for applause? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas gave it a great effort.  They?re not going away empty-handed, we got a great gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.?
Dee reads the consolation prize:
?Look at the entertaining fun you?ll have when you strap on Moon Shoes.  Super excitement is yours when you bounce higher than ever! Don?t leave Earth without Moon Shoes, from Big Time Toys!?

Rediscovery EP: Rutherford's Gold Foil
« Reply #1 on: July 27, 2009, 10:53:24 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "The quest continues, and now it's time for Olmec to tell us about the Rutherford?s Gold Foil.  But pay attention, teams, because your knowledge of the Legend could bring you a step closer to Olmec?s Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"One of the most important figures in the atomic theory was Ernest Rutherford, the father of nuclear physics.  When he started out, the plum-pudding model of the atom was suggested, meaning electrons were scattered within a large nucleus.  Rutherford thought that wasn?t true, and he was willing to prove otherwise.
"Rutherford had a very thin gold foil, and he had a beam of atomic nuclei fired at it.  When most of the particles just went through the foil, he could tell atoms weren?t as thick as the plum-pudding model suggested.  His experiment proved the planetary model: Electrons had to make up a huge area around a tiny nucleus.  The gold foil from his experiment later made its way to the Temple.  Your quest is to retrieve Rutherford?s Gold Foil and bring it here."

"Thanks Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "Olmec, where is the Gold Foil?"
Olmec replies:
"Rutherford?s Gold Foil can be found in the SHRIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey." The camera zooms in on the Gold Foil on the shelf next to the middle part of the monkey statue, then fades back to Kirk.

"Okay.  Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge.  In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you?ll move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I?m gonna give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we?re ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Did Rutherford?s experiment involve a foil made of???
Jennifer hits the marking first: ?Gold.?
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Nice job, Red Jaguars, step down,? says Kirk, and the Red Jaguars move down to the second step. ?Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Which of these did Rutherford study: Outer space, The cell or The atom??
Olivia gongs in: ?Atoms???
?Correct,? Olmec replies.
?Green Monkeys, step down!? Kirk says, and the Green Monkeys move down alongside the Red Jaguars. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Does this mean that Rutherford was concerned with: Chemistry, Biology or Ufology??
Tim buzzes in: ?Chemistry.?
?That is correct.?
?Green Monkeys now just one step away from the Temple Games!? Kirk comments as the Green Monkeys walk down onto the penultimate level. ?Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?During Rutherford?s time, was the accepted model of the atom known as the: Cherry-pie model, Plum-pudding model or Upside-down-cake model??
Jennifer stomps down and guesses: ?Cherry-pie model???
?Incorrect.?
Austin gives it a try: ?Plum-pudding model???
?Correct,? Olmec answers.
?Silver Snakes can still get into this,? Kirk says as the Purple Parrots move down to the second step. ?We?re looking for two teams.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec then asks:
?Was Rutherford?s new model known as the: Planetary model, Galactic model or Solar-system???
A stomp from Tim interrupts Olmec: ?Planet model???
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Green Monkeys hop down onto the bottom step.
?All right, we got our first team moving on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces as the Green Monkeys high-five several times. ?We?re still looking for one more team; will it be the Red Jaguars, Silver Snakes or Purple Parrots? Next question.?
Olmec continues:
?Is Rutherford considered the father of: Nuclear physics, Quantum mechanics or relativity??
A bit hesitant, Jennifer stomps in: ?Nuclear physics???
?That is correct,? answers Olmec.
?Red Jaguars now only just one step away from the Temple Games!? Kirk remarks as the Red Jaguars move down to the third level. ?Other teams can still catch up.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?According to the planetary model, is the center of the atom called the: Core, Nucleus or Sun??
Jennifer hits the marking first: ?Core???
?Incorrect.?
Danielle buzzes in: ?Nucleus???
?Correct,? Olmec answers.
?Silver Snakes on the board!? Kirk comments as the Silver Snakes move down to the second step. ?This could be a comeback.  Olmec, continue.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?Which of these particles orbits around the nucleus: Proton, Neutron or Electron??
Danielle gongs in again: ?Electron???
?That is correct.?
?Whoo! Silver Snakes now just one step away from the Temple Games,? remarks Kirk as the Snakes step down again. ?Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec then asks:
?Which of these awards is given to scientists: The Pulitzer Prize, The Nobel Prize or The Heisman???
Jennifer cuts Olmec off this time: ?Nobel Prize!?
?THAT IS CORRECT!? bellows Olmec, and the Red Jaguars skirt around the Green Monkeys to jump down to the bottom step.  Kirk hops up onto the step between the two qualifying teams and turns around to face the camera after setting foot on the second-lowest level.
?All right, we got our two teams right here!? Kirk announces as the qualifying players begin to congratulate one another. ?The Red Jaguars and the Green Monkeys will be going head-to-head in the Temple Games! The rest of you, come on down here.? The Purple Parrots move down a step; the Silver Snakes get a bit closer to Kirk as well. ?You guys both gave it a great effort.  We got a great gift for you too and here?s what it is.? Austin, Sierra, Jalen and Danielle will each be receiving a copy of Zoom on DVD.
The camera cuts back to Kirk at the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge with the two qualifying teams. ?These teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera segues to a worm?s-eye view of Olmec before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: Rutherford's Gold Foil
« Reply #2 on: July 27, 2009, 10:56:39 PM »
Kirk is now standing between the Green Monkeys and the Red Jaguars in front of the Mine Shaft. ?Welcome back to Legends!? he says. ?Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s get to know our team players a bit.? He turns to the camera-right talk to the boy on the Red Jaguars, an Asian kid with average-length hair. ?On the Red Jaguars, we have Damian.  How old are you??
?Twelve,? he replies.
?Now I understand you like to play football,? Kirk reads off the index card, ?but you?re also a big fan of Transformers.  So tell me about that.?
?Well,? explains Damian, ?been watching since Robots In Disguise came out when I was? five?? I liked Armada the best.  Big fan of Blurr and Sideswipe, and got about? forty figures.  Friends even call me ?Sideswipe.? ?
?All right, very nice,? Kirk says as he goes to interview the brunette girl with glasses on the far right of the screen. ?And Jennifer, how old are you??
?Twelve,? she answers.
?And you like cheerleading but you also play football like Damian,? Kirk reads. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? she explains, ?I usually play after school with my friends, and I?m usually a wide receiver.? She smiles as her voice starts to trail off.
?This is a good team, let?s see if they can score a touchdown here,? Kirk says. ?Let?s hear it for the Red Jaguars!? The audience applauds, and Kirk turns toward the left side of the screen to talk to the boy on the Green Monkeys, who has brown hair and hazel eyes. ?And on the Green Monkeys, we have Tim.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? he replies.
?And I understand you like to play baseball, you like action movies and you?re learning to play the trombone,? Kirk reads. ?How long have you been playing??
?Just about a year,? answers Tim. ?I?m in my band at school, some of my friends got me into it, they play trombone too.?
?Sounds good,? Kirk says, moving to talk to the girl on the far left of the screen, who has curly, sandy-blond hair. ?And Olivia, how old are you??
?Twelve,? she answers.
?And I understand you wanna be a pediatrician, but you?re into mountain-biking,? Kirk says. ?How did you get into that??
?Well,? Olivia answers, ?My dad and my older cousin were both into it, so I went with them one time and I loved it.?
?Sounds like a tough team,? Kirk comments ?Let?s hear it for the Green Monkeys!? Olivia and Tim clap along with the audience.

?You guys ready to play?? Kirk asks.
?YEAH!? The players shout a response in unison.
?Okay then, so go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says, pointing in different directions, and the players walk offscreen. ?Here?s what?s gonna happen here.  In the Temple Games, teams are competing for?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  There?s three Temple Games? um, they?ll need those Pendants to protect them from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?Ernest Rutherford realized electrons orbit around the nucleus of an atom.  In this game, you?ll replicate the design on a larger scale.  When Kirk gives the signal, climb on the wheel and adjust your weight to make the wheel spin.  When it makes one full rotation, it means your electron has completed one orbit.  The player who completes the most nuclear orbits in 60 seconds wins.?
?All right, they gotta go into orbit here, sounds tough,? Kirk says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
On ?Go,? Jennifer and Tim get on the wheels and move along at a fair pace; after 15 seconds, Tim has finished three rotations while Jennifer has completed only two.  She makes an effort to catch up following that, though, and at the halfway mark, Tim is only a half-rotation ahead; both players? scores are at 5.
?It?s tough to shift your body right,? Kirk remarks as Tim starts to fall off.  He falls off multiple times in the later half of the game, but Jennifer doesn?t fall off once.  When the countdown clock reaches zero, a pattern of ceiling spotlights flashes to indicate that time is up.
?All right!? says Kirk as he reappears onscreen. ?Let?s see? Green Team got 10 points, but Red Team got 12! Red Jaguars get a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds while Kirk goes to talk to Tim. ?You? uh? had a little trouble staying on there,? he says. ?Tell me what happened.?
?Umm? I guess I was just getting tired,? Tim explains. ?Kept falling off.?
?Well, no problem,? says Kirk, ? ?cause you can catch up in the next game, it?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #2.?

Olmec continues:
?Most atoms have more than one electron, so in this game, you are going to put as many mock-ups in orbit as you can.  You are now strapped in a rotating lever and, when Kirk gives the signal, you will run around to grab a ball off of the pedestal.  Next, return to place it in your bin.
?The player with the most balls in orbit after 60 seconds wins, but be careful? if a ball misses the bin, it will not count.?
?Things are gonna get electric out there,? Kirk says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears onscreen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Damian and Olivia take off and start running around to grab the electron balls.  They both get the ball the first time, but Olivia misses the bin whereas Damian doesn?t. ?It?s hard to get your right momentum,? Kirk says over the cheering audience, ?but Red Team doing a good job!? The second time, however, Olivia gets the ball in but Damian misses.  He also misses getting a ball the next time, but Olivia misses the bucket again and Damian, moving faster than her, makes the bucket on his fourth try.  The game continues in this sort of hit-and-miss manner until time expires; as the ceiling spotlights flash again, Kirk runs over to announce the winner.
?All right! Nice job guys!? he comments, pulling over the bins. ?Let?s see, Red Jaguars get?? he starts pulling the balls out of the basket? ?one, two, three, four? five balls.  Green got... one, two, three, four? five balls! The teams win a half Pendant each!? The audience applauds again. ?You?re both doing a great job, Green Monkeys have a half Pendant, Red Jaguars have a full, but this next game is the final third game and it?s worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?Rutherford found out the structure of the atom by firing a stream of particles at a gold foil.  For this game, the soldiers in front of you will have to do.  When Kirk gives the signal, lob a particle at one of the soldiers on the wall.  Then you partner will place a particle in the slingshot and aim at the soldiers on the wall.
?The first team to knock down all four soldiers? or the team who?s knocked over the most soldiers in 60 seconds? wins.?
?This is for the Temple,? Kirk reminds the audience. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears in the corner of the screen, and Kirk steps to the side. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Jennifer?s aim is very off on her first attempt, while Olivia gets lucky and knocks over the second-rightmost target on her first try.  Neither team scores again for a while, though; the next point goes to the Red Jaguars at :39, when they finally knock over their rightmost target.  However, the second-left target for the Green Monkeys goes down at the halfway mark, but the Red Jaguars even the score moments later.  No more points are scored before the ceiling spotlights flash, ending the game.
?Okay, time?s up!? Kirk announces, reappearing onscreen. ?So both teams knocked down two targets, that means it?s a tie! That gives each team a Pendant, giving the Green Monkeys a Pendant and a half, but the Red Jaguars have two? they?re going to the Temple!? Damian and Jennifer high-five several times while Kirk goes to meet with the Green Monkeys. ?Gallant effort by the Green Monkeys.  We got a great gift for them both and here?s what it is.? Tim and Olivia will each be receiving Transformers: Cybertron Optimus Prime and Megatron action figures.
The camera cuts back from the prize announcement to show Kirk with the Red Jaguars in front of their slingshot. ?We?ll see if the Red Jaguars can make it through Olmec?s Temple, retrieve that Gold Foil,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera zooms in on the foil in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, then fades to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: Rutherford's Gold Foil
« Reply #3 on: July 27, 2009, 11:07:08 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs to the camera-right of Damian and Jennifer. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera. "The Red Jaguars have proven themselves worthy and now have earned the right to enter Olmec?s Temple.  But first, Olmec?s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve Rutherford?s Gold Foil."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Dungeon.
?There, climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage into the Geographer?s Study.  Take the correct book off the bookshelf, and put it on the pedestal in the front of the room to open the door to the SHRIIIIIIINE of the SIIIIIL-ver Monkey, where you can grab Rutherford?s Gold Foil.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, and you could advance into the Laser Light Room.  Find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Arctic Antechamber, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 2 Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," says Damian.
"Very well, Damian," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Gold Foil.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Jennifer's turn to enter and try her luck.  If you can reach the Foil, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with Rutherford's Gold Foil in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how:"
?   For just getting into the Temple, they?re both going to get a 19? TV provided by Magnavox.
?   If they can reach the Gold Foil within three minutes, they?re also going to get a sports package provided by Regent.
?   And if they can get the Gold Foil out of the Temple before 3 minutes is up, they?ll both be going to Krystal Cancun! Krystal Cancun, the resort for beach lovers, with excursions to Mayan ruins.  It?s rich in history and rich in pleasure.  Krystal Cancun, for a prize package totaling $13,396!

"Sounds great! Let's see if we can get the Jaguars to Mexico!" Kirk says before turning to Jennifer. "So, Jennifer, what's your strategy?"
"Um? W're gonna go up," Jennifer uses her finger to point at the rooms so as to trace their route, "go across the bridge, up there, down into the Dragon Room, and go over, grab the Gold Piece and get back out."
"Let's see if that works out," Kirk says. "Damian, get out in front.  Mouthpieces in, you guys.  Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec hums as he lowers the gate.
"Set the clock for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

On ?Go,? Damian sprints up into the Temple and enters the Arctic Antechamber. ?There goes Damian, up into the Temple!? shouts Kirk. ?They gotta bust through those walls!? Damian rams down the ice walls in the room in sequence, going all around the ladder before exiting for the Bridge with 2:49 remaining.  He heads across the Bridge and sets foot in the Laser Light Room (2:43), and immediately gets to work with the objective of aligning the sections of the metallic column.  At 2:30, the column is fully aligned and emits a laser beam from the dome on top, and the door leading down into the Dragon?s Lair opens.  Damian climbs down, but ends up meeting the first TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! Temple Guard!? Kirk remarks, but Damian hands over his Pendant of Life unfazed. ?That didn?t get him, so he?s moving on.  Go away, Temple Guard, go away!? Damian then goes to the front of the room, grabs two of the dragon horns and brings them to the back of the room to put them in place. ?This guy?s fast.  They call him ?Blurr,? ? says Kirk as Damian goes back for the other two horns (2:17).
?Go Damian!? Jennifer shouts from the sidelines.
?There, he?s getting the last of the horns,? Kirk explains as Damian puts the fourth horn in the dragon head hanging around the door he entered from.  The mystic pattern on the walls glows and a roar is heard, but no doors open. ?Something?s gonna open!? Kirk shouts out as Damian starts to head for the ladder.  He then stops and turns to look at the door to the Knights? Barracks, waiting for it to open.  After a delay of about eight seconds, the door leading downwards opens, but the Knights? Barracks door does not.
?Looks like he?s gotta go down!? Kirk remarks, and Damian hesitantly climbs down into the Crystal Cave. ?Two minutes! Two-minute warning!? Damian reaches up and pulls down the stalactites one at a time; the stage-right stalactite, which he pulls down last, opens the door into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  With 1:50 on the clock, he sprints through into the next room and meets the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh, Temple Guard! Go Jennifer!? Kirk shouts, and Jennifer heads up into the Temple with the team?s last Pendant of Life around her wrist. ?She?s got a Pendant, she?s gotta make up where Sideswipe left off!? Jennifer makes it up to the Laser Light Room with 1:26 remaining, climbs down two ladders and sets foot in the Junction of the Secret Shafts with 1:04 on the clock.  She heads through into the next room via the second crawl tube she tries, and out from one of the golden doors jumps the final TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! Scared her a second, but she gets herself!? comments Kirk as Jennifer gives the Temple Guard her Pendant with 49 seconds remaining.  She then gets started on hitting the twelve actuators on the walls, going from wall to wall in a seemingly random order. ?She?s really gotta make up for some lost time here.? Jennifer smacks away at the actuators, hitting the twelfth one with just 24 seconds left.  Nothing opens up. ?She?s gotta bust through the wall! Open up the wall!? Jennifer goes through the rock wall and enters the Dungeon (0:20) She climbs up the ladder to try the door directly into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey, but it won?t open.  So, she heads back down, goes across the room and starts to climb up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passage? but we?re out of time!
?Oh, that?s it!? Kirk comments. ?She got lost going up the Pharaoh?s Secret Passageway, never to be seen again? Jennifer gave it a great effort.  Damian? Sideswipe here? he cleared out a major path, but they were only a couple of rooms away.  Well, they still get the TVs, and we gotta get outta here.  Check us out next time for another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? Damian and Kirk wave to the camera; scenes of the Dungeon, Shrine of the Silver Monkey and Dragon?s Lair are shown as the credits roll.

Rediscovery EP: Rutherford's Gold Foil

Temple Run Summary
Episode 60px]

Name of Artifact: Rutherford's Gold Foil
Season: 2
Layout: 4 (8 overall)
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Red Jaguars
Pendants Won: 2
Location of Artifact: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey

On your mark, get set, GO! Damian, also known as "Sideswipe," bolted into the Temple and made very good time until a production mistake in the Dragon's Lair? where the first Temple Guard appeared, incidentally? held him up for almost ten seconds longer than he should've been in there.  The team's plan was foiled when he couldn't go into the Knights' Barracks from there, so Damian hesitated a bit when leaving the Dragon's Lair for the Crystal Cave, but went back to his fast pace until he was taken out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts with 1:45 left.

There was no excuse for Jennifer's speed? or, rather, lack thereof.  Damian didn't just make her look slow; she was extremely slow by herself, taking forty-one seconds to get to where Damian was taken out.  She only progressed two more rooms after that; time ran out as she was heading for the last room before the Gold Foil.

Trivia and Records:
This was the only Temple Run where a player was in the Pharaoh's Secret Passage when time expired.  As a side note, during the player interviews, Damian mentioned he was a fan of the characters Blurr and Sideswipe and had the nickname "Sideswipe" among his friends, but I think "Blurr" would've been more appropriate... and Kirk might have thought the same, possibly causing his mistake during his Temple Run commentary.  Incidentally, at the Temple Games the Red Jaguars beat out the Green Monkeys, who ended up getting Transformers figures as a consolation prize... wonder if Damian was pissed.
