Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 56px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Torn Message of Sarah Grimk?."

"Oh, the Torn Message of Sarah Grimk?!" Kirk says in response. "Well the legend is set, and one of the six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Torn Message.  Will it be:
"William and Sarah of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Ryan and Rebecca of the Blue Barracudas,
"Jason and Hannah of the Green Monkeys,
"Eric and Amber of the Orange Iguanas,
"Shane and Tara of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Adam and Ashley of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"In front of each team there's three floating pieces of ice in the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will run over the ice to get to the other side of the Moat.  Then his partner'll run across too, but if a player touches the ice with a part of a body other than their feet, they?ll have to start over."
"As soon as the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.  Teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"What do you expect?" Olmec asks back.
"Then let?s get going!" Kirk says. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

The teams? first players all take off and start to head across the Moat; they all stay about even except for the boy on the Purple Parrots being a tad slower than the others.  The boy on the Orange Iguanas makes it across first, followed by the Red, Blue and Green teams? first players.
?Takes a lot of speed to get through this murky Moat,? Kirk comments as the girls start to cross.  A few seconds later, the boys on the Purple Parrots and Silver Snakes make it across.  The girl on the Green Monkeys falls into the Moat leaving the first iceberg and has to go back, giving the other teams the lead.  The teams start to get their second players across, starting with the Purple Parrots thanks to a relatively fast girl.
?First team across the Moat, the Purple Parrots!? Kirk announces as the gongs start to be hit. ?Two teams? Three teams!? The Red Jaguars and Silver Snakes finish almost simultaneously, then the girl on the Orange Iguanas makes it across.
?And that?s it!? Kirk announces, and the camera shows him with the Red Jaguars in front of their gong. ?Red Jaguars blazed across that icy Moat.  They?re gonna go on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Orange Iguanas?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying team? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Blue Barracudas and the Green Monkeys came up a bit short.  They?re not gonna go away empty-handed, here?s what we got for them.? Ryan, Rebecca, Hannah and Jason will each be receiving a copy of The Ant Bully on DVD.

Rediscovery EP: The Torn Message of Sarah Grimk
« Reply #1 on: June 28, 2009, 12:38:16 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "The quest continues, and now it?s time for Olmec to tell us about the Legend of the Torn Message of Sarah Grimk?.  But pay attention, teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"One of the most determined of the Abolitionists was Sarah Grimk?.  She was raised in South Carolina, where she spent time reading to the slaves on her parents? plantation on Sunday afternoons, until her father stepped in.
" 'You can?t teach a old OR young slave new tricks,' he said, and swiped the book out of Sarah?s hands.
"But Sarah would not rest until slavery was abolished.  She and her little sister Angelina moved to Philadelphia and talked with other Abolitionists, who were shocked by their ideas.
" 'And we thought we were trampling all over society!' they said to each other.
"That wasn?t enough to stop the Grimk? sisters, but legend has it they didn?t always see eye-to-eye.  One day they were arguing over a speech one of them would deliver to the state legislators of Massachusetts.
" 'I want to do this one!' Angelina pulled on the papers in Sarah?s hands. 'I did enough corrections on it it?s practically mine!'
" 'But it was my idea!' argued Sarah. 'I suggested it and wrote the first draft!'
"After some more arguing, the paper was torn in half.  Sarah looked down at her work, very upset.
" 'Oh? Sarah, I?m sorry,' said Angelina. 'I?m going to rewrite it for you, if it makes you feel better.'
"The sisters made up pretty quickly; Angelina rewrote the speech, and Sarah didn?t mind if she delivered it.  One half of the original message, however, found its way to the Temple.  Your task is to find the Torn Message of Sarah Grimk? and bring it back here."

"Thanks Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So, tell us, where is that Torn Message?"
Olmec replies:
"The Torn Message of Sarah Grimk? can be found in the Planetarium." The camera zooms in on the Message draped over one of the orbital rings in the Planetarium, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you'll move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'm gonna give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we?re now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Sarah Grimk? a: Abolitionist, Isolationist or Commu???
Tara hits the marking first: ?Abolitionist!?
?Correct,? says Olmec.
?Nice job, Purple Parrots, step down,? says Kirk, and the Purple Parrots move down to the second step. ?Next question.?
Olmec now asks:
?Did Sarah and her sister grow up in: North Carolina, South Carolina or South Dakota??
As Olmec reads the third choice, Ashley rings in: ?South Carolina???
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?All right, Silver Snakes, come on down!? Kirk says, and the Silver Snakes step down beside the Purple Parrots. ?We?re looking for two teams.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Was Sarah?s little sister named: Alyssa, Angelina or Arian???
Shane gongs in: ?Angelina???
?That is correct,? answers Olmec, and the Purple Parrots move down to the second-to-last level.
?Purple Parrots now just one step away from the Games,? Kirk explains. ?Red Jaguars and Orange Iguanas, still plenty of time to score.  Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec then asks:
?As a kid, on Sunday afternoons, would Sarah: Speak in front of the town, Pick cotton in the fields or Read to her family?s slaves??
Ashley stomps down and answers: ?She read to slaves???
?That is correct,? replies Olmec, and the Silver Snakes once again follow the Purple Parrots down a step.
?One more step and the Silver Snakes are into the Temple Games,? Kirk comments. ?Orange Jaguars, Red Iguanas, can still get in this.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec continues:
?Did Sarah and Angelina later move to: Philadelphia, Boston or New York City??
After a moment, Tara rings in: ?Philadelphia???
?That is correct!? declares Olmec.
?All right, we got our first team!? Kirk announces as the Purple Parrots jump down to the bottommost step. ?The Purple Parrots! We still need one more, who?s it gonna be? Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec then asks:
?According to our legend, were Sarah and Angelina arguing over: Who would deliver a message, Who would???
Ashley stomps in, but takes a moment to answer: ?Who? who was gonna speak the speech???
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Silver Snakes move around the Purple Parrots to get onto the bottom level.
?There, we got our two teams!? Kirk announces, stepping up behind the two qualifying teams. ?The Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots! Red Jaguars, Orange Iguanas, gave it a great effort but came up a little bit short.  They?re not going away empty-handed, we got a great gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? William, Sarah, Eric and Amber will each be receiving a small prize package provided by Skechers.
The camera cuts back to Kirk standing behind the Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes at the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge. ?These two teams will go head-to-head for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera pans out over the Moat before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Torn Message of Sarah Grimk
« Reply #2 on: June 28, 2009, 12:42:55 PM »
Kirk is now standing in front of the Crevasse between the two remaining teams. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s hear it for the Silver Snakes, Adam and Ashley!? The brown-haired boy with freckles and the girl with a brown, braided ponytail clap along with the audience. ?And Shane and Tara of the Purple Parrots!? The short blond boy and the girl with short, dark hair applaud with the audience.
?Why don?t you go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says as the players walk offscreen. ?Let me pull out a Pendant of Life?" He opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera. "They?re playing for those, and the winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the DREADED Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, tell us about the first one.?

Olmec begins:
?Sarah Grimk? and her sister Angelina delivered many antislavery speeches throughout the country.  In this game, you will retrieve four of their speeches.  When Kirk gives the signal, crawl to the first cube, grab one of the parchments, then crawl back with it and place it in your bin.  Then, go back to get the next speech.  Along the way you must try to avoid the swinging obstacles.  If you?re hit, you?ll have to go back and start again.?
?The first player to get all four parchments? or the player that?s further along after 60 seconds? wins!?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?Put 60 seconds on the clock,? he says, and a countdown clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?Let?s get the sandbags back in position and then let?s start swinging them again.? The spotters do just that. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
The players crawl out and start to make their way towards the first rolled-up parchments for their teams.  Adam of the Silver Snakes is at first a bit faster and less cautious than Tara of the Purple Parrots; he makes it back with the first parchment at :54, just as Tara is reaching her first parchment.  She brings hers back with 50 seconds left.  It?s also notable that although Tara only gets hit by a sandbag with :42 left, Adam has already slowed down a bit.  He makes it back with his second parchment with 40 seconds on the clock, after which point he picks up the pace again.
?This is a tricky game, you gotta get down the right timing,? Kirk notes as both players get the next parchment with :34 remaining.  Tara places the second parchment for the Purple Parrots in the bin with 28 seconds on the clock, but Adam is hit by a swinging sandbag on the way back with his third and has to put it back. ?Silver Snakes still need it or the Purple Parrots can cut ahead.? Sure enough, Tara cuts ahead just a little.  She gets her third parchment in with 14 seconds remaining; Adam is only a second behind, but he is in fact behind.  Both players get to their last parchments, but neither can bring them back before the clock runs out of time and a pattern of ceiling spotlights flash to indicate the end of the Temple Game.
?Time?s up, that?s it!? Kirk announces, walking onscreen to count the scores.  Tara and Adam put the parchments down and go over to meet Kirk by the bins. ?Let?s count ?em up.  Purple Parrots got?? he takes the parchments out of the bin as he counts? ?one, two, three parchments; Silver Snakes got one, two, three parchments! It?s a tie? they both get the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds briefly. ?This next game is worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Sarah Grimk? traveled a lot to get to the places where she?d deliver her speeches, and the trip wasn?t always that easy.  Before you stands a forest which Sarah Grimk? herself had to travel through.  When Kirk gives the signal, put the ancient rod behind your head and make your way through the forest.  Whenever you come to two trees, you must find a way to maneuver between or around them, keeping the rod behind your head and both of your hands on it.
?The first player to exit the forest? or the player that?s closest to the end after 60 seconds wins.?
The camera segues to Kirk. ?Put 60 seconds on the clock,? he says.  The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Shane and Ashley take off and start to make their way through the bamboo forests in front of them.  Neither player is that fast, but Shane gets a bit of a lead because Ashley tries to maneuver around an early set of bamboo gateways in a very inefficient way around :50.  However, she picks up the pace a bit, so she closes the gap between her and Shane with about :44 left on the clock.
?This is a tough game,? Kirk notes as Shane slips ahead yet again. ?You gotta stretch your body around and find the right open.? Shane holds a lead over Ashley for the remainder of the Temple Game; she makes no more mistakes, but he moves more swiftly.  After escaping the most difficult part of the forest with just over twenty seconds remaining, Shane makes it out of the wooden maze with 14 seconds on the clock.
?That?s it!? Kirk announces, going over to meet with Shane as Ashley makes her way to the exit. ?Shane made it out with about fifteen seconds, giving the Purple Parrots another half Pendant of Life!? He holds for applause. ?So the Purple Parrots have a full Pendant, the Silver Snakes have a half Pendant.  The next game is worth a full Pendant; it?s the third and final game.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?Sarah Grimk? and other Abolitionists sought to free the slaves.  In this game, you and your partner must work your way to freedom.  When Kirk gives the signal, climb along the wall and maneuver the chain along the slot until you reach the passage marked ?Freedom,? through which you can escape.
?The first team to reach ?Freedom?? or the one that?s further along after 60 seconds? wins!?
The camera shows Kirk standing in front of the two giant boards and facing the camera. ?This is for the Temple,? he reminds everyone. ?Let?s set the clock for 60 seconds.? The clock appears onscreen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
The teams take off and make their way up on the first piece of the vertical maze.  Neither team is very fast, but the Purple Parrots take the lead almost instantly.  The Parrots make it through the first metal loop with :42 left, while the Snakes are still slowly slithering their way across the top level just to get to the loop.
?The key to this game is communication and working together with your partner,? Kirk remarks. ?Looks like the Purple Parrots have it down!? Indeed, the Purple Parrots zoom out of the Silver Snakes? grasp, almost making it to the second metal loop in the time that the Silver Snakes get through their first, which occurs with exactly thirty seconds on the clock.
?Silver Snakes really gotta make up for lost time here!? Admittedly, the Silver Snakes do a nice job of trying to catch up after making it through the first metal loop, but the Purple Parrots advance through their second with :24 remaining, leaving just a short path to escape.  The Silver Snakes make it through their second metal loop with just 16 seconds on the clock, but they?ve picked up the pace way too late; the Purple Parrots pass through the final loop a second later and jump through the gate marked ?Freedom? to meet with Kirk.
?And that?s it!? Kirk announces; spotters rush over to help the Silver Snakes get out of the equipment quickly. ?The Purple Parrots made great time going through and got out first.  They get the full Pendant, giving themselves two? they?re going to the Temple!? Shane and Tara jump up and down and high-five each other, while Kirk gestures to the Silver Snakes, who are being helped off the equipment. ?Silver Snakes gave it a gallant effort.  We got a great gift for them for playing, here?s what they get.? Adam and Ashley will each be receiving a backpack provided by Eastpak.
The camera cuts back to Kirk standing with the Purple Parrots, who aren?t linked together by equipment any more. ?The Purple Parrots fought hard, and now we?ll see them try to make it through Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera rushes along through the Temple Games arena and stops at the ladder in the Abandoned Cave before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Torn Message of Sarah Grimk
« Reply #3 on: June 28, 2009, 12:44:48 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs next to the Purple Parrots. "Welcome back to Legends!" he says to the camera. "Shane and Sara have proven themselves worthy and earned the right to enter Mr. Olmec?s Temple.  But first, Olmec?s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the Torn Message of Sarah Grimk?."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Abandoned Cave.
?There, climb up the ladder into the Planetarium, where you can grab the Torn Message.  Spin the correct sphere to open the door to the SHRIIIIINE? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Next, race up to the Laser Light Room, find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 2 Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am," says Tara.
"Very well, Tara," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Torn Message of Sarah Grimk?.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Shane's turn to enter and try his luck.  If you can reach the Message, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Torn Message in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how!"
?   First, they?re both going to get a sports package provided by Regent.
?   If they can grab the Message within three minutes, they?re each going to receive camping gear provided by Outdoor Products.
?   And if they can get the Torn Message out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll both be going to Krystal Cancun! The resort for beach lovers, with excursions to Mayan ruins.  It?s rich in history and rich in pleasure.  Krystal Cancun, for a prize package totaling $13,496!

"Cancun, let?s get ?em there!" Kirk says before turning to Tara. "So, Sara, let?s get you out in front.  Both of you put your mouthpieces in, you never know when you?re gonna run in.  Set the clock for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec hums as he lowers the gate.
"On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There, up the Temple goes Sara!? Kirk announces as Tara jogs up into the Room of Temple Gongs. ?They?ve got two Pendants, let?s see how far that takes ?em!? Tara walks to the front of the room and bangs the gongs starting with the furthest right one, which lights up blue.  The second gong from the right lights up purple; when that happens, both doors leading out of the room open. ?Something?s opened!? With 2:47 remaining, Tara leaves the Room of Temple Gongs and goes across the Bridge to enter the Laser Light Room.  She heads to the front of the room and puts her hands to the column, but out comes a TEMPLE GUARD!
?Woah! Temple Guard!? remarks Kirk as Tara looks over her shoulder and shrieks. ?Scared her, scared me! Give ?em the Pendant, Sara!?
?C?mon Tara!? shouts Shane as Tara tries to regain her bearings. ?Go! GO!?
Tara takes a while to remember she has a Pendant of Life; with 2:31 left, she hands it over to the Temple Guard, who leaves promptly.  She then turns back to the column and kneels down before starting to rotate the four sections of the metallic column.  At 2:10, the column is perfectly aligned; the sections facing the camera light up white and the laser beam appears from the dome on top, while both doors leaving the room open.  Tara starts down the ladder into the Dragon?s Lair, but a couple rungs into the room, she changes her mind in favor of going into the Knights? Barracks. ?Maybe she?s got a plan, I dunno,? says Kirk as Tara goes down the stairs into the Knights? Barracks with 2:03 on the clock.  She grabs the sword off the railing and sticks it in the sheath belonging to the stage-right armor, only for the gauntlets to come to life grab her? she?s been nabbed by a TEMPLE SPIRIT!
Kirk stares for a second to watch before realizing what?s going on. ?She?s been taken out!? he declares, sending Shane off with 1:57 left. ?Go, Shane, go!? Shane runs up the stairs and follows Tara?s path. ?He?s got another Pendant, he?s going through the Temple Gongs? into the Laser Room? and the Room of the Ancient Knights, where Sara?s taken out! A minute thirty-five!? Shane looks around for the sword for a second before realizing it was still in the stage-right suit of armor.  He takes it out and sticks it in the other two sheaths, then looks to see if the door into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey opened.
?The door didn?t open it,? Kirk comments, ?so he can go down? I-I mean he?s gotta go back to the Laser Room or in the Dragon?s Lair!? With 1:20 left, Shane goes back up the stairs into the Laser Light Room and goes down the ladder into the Dragon?s Lair.  He looks around, then goes to pick up the first of the dragon horns in the front of the room.  He stops himself, however, when he realizes the door leading left is open.  With 1:09 remaining, he crawls through? only to end up in the Knights? Barracks again.
?That door?s not gonna open,? Kirk reminds, his hand on Tara?s shoulder. ?He?s gotta go back to where he started from!? Shane looks around cluelessly for a few seconds. ?Go back into the Dragon?s Lair! One minute, Shane!? Shane stays in the Knights? Barracks a bit longer and tries to pry open the door leading into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.  He spends about ten seconds there, but nothing happens.
?He?s gotta back into the Dragon?s Lair!? shouts Kirk.  Shane gives up and leaves the Knights? Barracks with 49 seconds on the clock and enters the Dragon?s Lair.  He picks up the horns from the front of the room one at a time and puts them in place in the dragon head in the back of the room.
?This is a strong Purple Parrots team,? says Kirk. ?First in the Moat, first in the Steps of Knowledge, won all three Temple Games?? With 37 seconds left, Shane puts the last dragon horn in place.  The black patterns running across the walls light up in violet, and a roar is heard. ?Thirty seconds left! Oh, I don?t think they?re gonna make it?? Shane climbs down the ladder into the Crystal Cave, but in the corner of the room lurks the third TEMPLE GUARD!
Shane gives the Temple Guard his Pendant of Life, and the guard goes away with 0:28 remaining. ?Okay! Temple Guards all out of the way!? remarks Kirk. ?He?s just gotta get the Message!? Shane pulls down the stalactites, starting with the one right of the ladder and moving around the back of the room.  After pulling the stage-right stalactite, the one behind the ladder opens the door into the Junction of the Secret Shafts with 23 seconds to go, and Shane goes on.
?He?s in the Secret Shafts,? Kirk says as Shane jogs through the room, ?and after that, he?s only two rooms behind.? Shane uses the higher exit to leave the Junction of the Secret Shafts with 0:17 left, and starts to hit the actuators on the Switch Inferno?s stage-left wall.
?Just bust through the wall! HURRY!? Kirk shouts.  With twelve seconds left, Shane enters the Abandoned Cave.  He wades over to the ladder, gets on with eight seconds left and climbs up into the Planetarium? but we?re out of time!
The countdown clock hits zero at the precise moment where Shane sets foot in the Planetarium, but he goes to the front of the room and grabs the Torn Message before he realizes time was called.
?Oh? They didn?t make it,? says Kirk. ?Sara can?t believe it, if only they had one more second? This was a great team all day, I really wanted to see them win.  But they still get the sports package, and we gotta get out of here.  Join us next time for more adventure and another great Legend of the Hidden Temple!? Kirk looks at Tara and talks to her for a while; the Shrine of the Silver Monkey and the Planetarium are shown from multiple angles as Shane comes out to meet Kirk and Tara and the credits roll.

Rediscovery EP: The Torn Message of Sarah Grimk
« Reply #4 on: June 28, 2009, 01:01:09 PM »
Temple Run Summary
Episode 56px]

Name of Artifact: The Torn Message of Sarah Grimk?
Season: 2
Layout: 3 (7 overall)
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Purple Parrots
Pendants Won: 2
Location of Artifact: The Planetarium

It seems like there were a lot of close finishes near the middle of Season 2, and this episode was no exception.  Shane and Tara tried their best to get to the Torn Message, but the design was fairly difficult because of the Knights' Barracks being a dead end.  Both players got caught up in the dead end, and Shane ended up going around in a loop between there, the Laser Light Room and the Dragon's Lair for a little bit, but eventually he descended through the entire central shaft and across the bottom floor with time ticking down.  He made it into the Planetarium, but time ran out just before he could grab the Message.

Trivia and Records:
This is the only time an artifact is located in the Planetarium.  It's also the only Purple Parrots run in the only Rediscovery Temple Layout to feature runs by all six teams.  Kirk refers to Tara as "Sara" throughout the Temple Run; there was a Sara in another episode filmed the same day ("The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger").
