Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 55px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten."

"The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten!" Kirk says in response. "Well one of these six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Scroll.  Will it be:
"Aaron and Heather of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Jordan and Rachel of the Blue Barracudas,
"Brock and Amanda of the Green Monkeys,
"Steven and Sara of the Orange Iguanas,
"Chris and Jasmine of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Richie and Madison of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"In front of each team's a slippery footpath that goes all the way across the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will slide down that path on their stomach and try to reach for the rope on the other side to pull themselves onto the deck.  But if they slide out and they can?t reach that rope, they?ll have to jump of the path and try again."
"Now as soon as his teammate does the same thing and gets onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the next round.  Hey teams? On your mark, get set, GO!"

The teams? first players each take a step back, then run and jump into a belly-down slide across the narrow footpaths.  However, nobody makes it out far enough on the first try, so they all jump into the water and head back toward the starting line.
?It?s tough to get used to sliding out there,? Kirk says as the players get ready for their second attempt.  This time, the boy on the Silver Snakes makes it far enough out to grab the rope, but nobody else can reach theirs. ?It?s a long way to slide, you really gotta? you really gotta push yourself out there.? On the third attempt, the boy on the Purple Parrots and the girls on the Orange Iguanas and Silver Snakes all make it across.  The girl on the Silver Snakes stands up and goes over to hit her team?s gong.
?We?ve got one team already across, it?s the Silver Snakes!? Kirk announces as the other five teams? players get in position for the fourth attempt.  The boy on the Blue Barracudas is the only player who makes it across this time. ?We got one Blue Barracuda across,? Kirk explains as the rest of the players prepare for the fifth attempt.
No one makes it across on the fifth and sixth attempts, but on the seventh, the girl on the Purple Parrots reaches the rope, and she pulls herself across and then runs over to hit her team?s gong.
?Purple Parrots made it across! Great slide there! We?re still looking for two more teams,? Kirk comments as the boy on the Red Jaguars reaches the rope on the eighth try. ?I think they?re getting the hang of it now!? On the very next try the second player on the Red Jaguars also makes it across to meet her partner and ring the gong.
?So we?re now looking for one more team!? Kirk explains as the last three teams? players all slide out on the ninth attempt and come up short.  However, on the tenth try, the girl on the Green Monkeys makes it out far enough to reach the rope. ?Every team?s got one player across now!? Kirk remarks as the last three players get ready to slide out again.  Several failed attempts and noticeable editing follow.  Finally, as the mist over the Moat is about to fade away completely, the second player on the Green Monkeys makes it out far enough to reach the rope, and while his partner jumps up and down, he runs over to hit his team?s gong.
?Okay! We got our four players!? Kirk announces, and the camera shows him running onscreen to meet with the Red Jaguars around their gong. ?The Red Jaguars did a great job getting across, he got across and she? she made it over right after.  The Red Jaguars are goin? on to the Steps of Knowledge, and so are the Green Monkeys?? the camera then goes down the line to show the other qualifying teams? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas gave it a great effort too.  We got a great gift for them and here?s what it is.?
Dee reads the consolation prize:
"Look at the entertaining fun you?ll have when you strap on Moon Shoes.  Super excitement is yours when you bounce higher than ever! Don?t leave Earth without Moon Shoes, from Big Time Toys!"

Rediscovery EP: The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten
« Reply #1 on: June 25, 2009, 12:21:00 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it's now time for Olmec to tell us about the Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten.  But pay attention teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you one step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"In ancient times, rulers often had to follow the idea of 'one king, one law, one faith' to unite their people.  In Egypt, no pharaoh knew this better than Amenhotep, later known as Akhenaten.  He came to the throne completely confused over the Egyptian gods and looking to keep his people in line.
" 'This is too confusing!' he cried, looking over the hieroglyphics of the myths. 'Everything should be a lot more simple? I?ve got an idea?'
"And Akhenaten founded Atenism, a new religion with only one god: the sun.  As pharaoh, Akhenaten converted everyone in his realm to Atenism, moved the capital to Amarna and had the Egyptian shrines moved to the other side of the Nile.
"However, Akhenaten emphasized his religion and union of all people more than the kingdom?s needs, and the empire almost fell.  When he died and King Tut became pharaoh, he reversed everything Akhenaten did to the kingdom and had all his scrolls outlining Atenism burned? except one, which made its way into the Temple.  You must find the Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten and bring it here."

"Thank you Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "But where is the Scroll?"
Olmec replies:
"The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten can be found in the Dragon?s Lair." The camera zooms in on the Spiritual Scroll lying on the front railing in the Dragon?s Lair, then fades back to Kirk.

"All right," Kirk begins, walking down the steps. "Teams, you're standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a second, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, I want you to stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you're gonna move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'll give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  All right Olmec, we're now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Was Akhenaten a: Tsar, Pharaoh or Emperor??
Amanda hits the marking first: ?Pharaoh.?
?Correct,? says Olmec.
?Green Monkeys, nice work, step down,? Kirk says, and the Green Monkeys move down to the second level. ?Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec asks:
?Was Akhenaten?s new religion called: Atenism, Arminianism or Anabapt???
Amanda rings in again: ?Atenism???
?That is correct,? Olmec says in response.
?Green Monkeys only one step away from the Temple Games,? Kirk declares as the Green Monkeys move down to the third level. ?Remember, we?re looking for two teams.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?In the legend, did Atenism have: No gods, One god or Many gods??
Richie stomps in: ?Um? He had one god???
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Silver Snakes, step down, you?re on the board!? remarks Kirk, and the Silver Snakes move down to the second step. ?Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec now asks:
?Was Akhenaten?s real name: Ramses, Thutmose or Amenhotep??
Nervous, everyone holds off from answering.  After three seconds, a bell sounds.
?Time?s up!? announces Olmec. ?The answer was Amenhotep.?
?Okay, Olmec, next question,? says Kirk.
Olmec asks:
?According to our legend, which of these did Atenists worship: The moon, The sun or The Nile??
Chris buzzes in: ?Uh? The sun???
?You got it, kid,? replies Olmec.
?Purple Parrots on the board,? comments Kirk as the Purple Parrots join the Silver Snakes on the second level. ?Red Jaguars, you can still get in this.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec then asks:
?According to the legend, did Akhenaten find typical Egyptan religion: Too simple, Too pessimistic or Too confusing??
Madison stomps down and guesses: ?Was it? Too confusing???
?That is correct,? Olmec answers.
?Silver Snakes one step away from the Temple Games now,? says Kirk as the Silver Snakes walk down onto the penultimate step. ?Next question, please.?
Olmec asks:
?When Akhenaten died, was the next pharaoh: Menkaure, Khufu or King Tut??
Jasmine gongs in: ?King Tut.?
?That is correct,? says Olmec in response.
?Purple Parrots also one step from the Temple Games!? Kirk announces as the Purple Parrots move down. ?Red Jaguars can still get into this.  Olmec, continue.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?Which of these was the first king of Egypt: Narmer, Ramses or Akhenaten??
Again, no one tries to venture a guess.  When the bell sounds, Olmec says:
?The correct answer was Narmer.?
?Tough questions, Olmec,? Kirk laughs. ?We need two teams.  Let?s keep it going.?
Olmec asks:
?When Akhenaten was pharaoh, was the capital of Egypt: Luxor, Amarna or Cairo??
Heather hits the marking first: ?Amarna???
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Red Jaguars on the board!? Kirk announces, and the Red Jaguars move down to the second step. ?Olmec, next question.?
Olmec continues:
?Did the Egyptians write using: Calligraphy???
Madison cuts off Olmec this time: ?Hieroglyphics!?
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Silver Snakes jump down onto the final step, where they high-five several times.
?Silver Snakes are now our first team going on to the Temple Games!? Kirk announces. ?We still need one more team; who?s it gonna be? Olmec, continue.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?Was Akhenaten?s wife: Nefertiti, Cleopatra or Hatshepsut??
Chris stomps in: ?Cleopatra???
?Incorrect,? says Olmec, and the Purple Parrots are visibly disappointed.
Amanda rings in: ?Nefertiti???
?That is correct!? yells Olmec, and with a screech from Amanda, the Green Monkeys hop down to the bottommost step alongside the Silver Snakes.  The four players all jump up and down and high-ten to congratulate one another.
?That?s it! We got our two teams!? Kirk announces, slipping in behind the two qualifying teams. ?They?re the Green Monkeys and the Silver Snakes, both going on to the Temple Games! Red Jaguars, Purple Parrots, you guys gave it a great effort too.  You?re not going away empty-handed, we got a great gift for you and here?s what it is.? Aaron, Chris, Heather and Jasmine will each be receiving a copy of the Kingdom Hearts II PlayStation 2 game.
The camera cuts back to the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge, where Kirk is standing between the Green Monkeys and the Silver Snakes. ?These two teams will be playing for the right to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera pans across the entire Temple before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten
« Reply #2 on: June 25, 2009, 12:22:36 PM »
Kirk stands between the two teams and in front of the Steps of Knowledge. ?Welcome back to Legends,? he says. ?Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s talk to our team players.? He turns to the camera-left side of the screen to interview the short girl on the Silver Snakes, whose brown, shoulder-length hair hangs loose. ?On the Silver Snakes, we have Madison.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? she replies.
?Now, I understand you like to write,? Kirk says, reading off the index card in his hand. ?You got a book going on??
?I write more poems,? says Madison. ?Love writing about nature, the spring and summer?? She smiles.
?I?d love to read it some time,? Kirk says, going to talk to the blond boy on the camera-right side of Madison. ?And your partner here is Richie.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? he replies.
?And I understand you?re into soccer,? Kirk says. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well, I watch it on TV a lot,? Richie explains, ?love Italy.  But I play a lot in real life, I?m a goalie usually.?
?Let?s see if you can keep the other team from winning here,? Kirk replies. ?Let?s hear it for the Silver Snakes!? Richie and Madison clap along with the audience, and Kirk goes to talk to the girl on the other team, whose brown hair is in a braided ponytail. ?But on the Green Monkeys, we have Amanda.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? replies Amanda.
?And I understand you like to travel a lot,? Kirk reads off his index card. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? Amanda begins, ?I went to Mexico when I was five, California when I was ten? I wanna visit France, Italy, China, Thailand and Japan.?
?Ah, very nice,? Kirk then goes to interview Amanda?s tall, freckled teammate. ?And Brock, how old are you??
?Thirteen,? answers Brock.
?And you run track, right?? Kirk reads. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well, I?ve been doing that for two years,? he begins, ?best with the 50-yard dash.?
?We got a travelin? team here,? remarks Kirk. ?Let?s hear it for the Green Monkeys!? Brock and Amanda applaud with the audience.

?Why don?t you go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says as Brock and Richie walk offscreen in one direction and Amanda and Madison walk off in another, ?and I?ll explain what?s happening here.  In the Temple Games, teams are competing to win?" he opens his pocket and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "these Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need those Pendants to protect them from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, will you tell us about Temple Game #1??

Olmec begins:
?Akhenaten managed to have the Egyptians worship the sun.  In this game, you?re going to put the sun in the sky for them.  When Kirk gives the signal, grab a sun symbol, jump up, and attach the flame symbol to the ceiling, then come back down.  Then, grab another sun symbol and do it again.
?The first player to attach all the sun symbols to the ceiling? or the player that puts the most sun symbols on the ceiling in 60 seconds? wins.?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?No sun in the sky? I thought it was kinda dark in here,? he says. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Amanda and Madison take off into the air, but Amanda moves much faster than Madison; after only ten seconds, Amanda is about to put her third sun symbol on the ceiling, while Madison is only putting up her second.  This pace remains for about twenty seconds before both players slow down a bit.  After 30 seconds, Madison has six sun symbols on the ceiling, and Amanda is coming down after failing to jump high enough to stick her eighth.
?This game?s tough, you gotta find the right timing for it,? Kirk comments as the girls land with about :28 seconds left and take off again.  Both girls put up a good fight, but as Madison puts up her ninth sun symbol, Amanda puts up her tenth and last one with 13 seconds still on the clock.
?That?s it! That was impressive!? Kirk remarks, coming onscreen to meet the players as they land; spotters try to get the girls out of their harnesses. ?Green Monkeys got all the suns in the sky, giving them a half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds briefly, while Amanda excitedly jumps up and down. ?Silver Snakes were close, though, and they can catch up in this next game, it?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?Like many kings, the pharaoh Akhenaten had to put down many rebellions in his time.  In this game, you?ll only be confronting an army of four.  When Kirk gives the signal, load your slingshot and fire a cannonball at one of the soldiers on the wall.  Then reload your slingshot and do it again.
?The first player to knock down all four soldiers? or the player that?s knocked down the most soldiers in 60 seconds? wins.?
?Let me just get outta the battlefield here,? Kirk says, running offscreen to the right side. ?Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Brock and Richie take aim at the targets on the wall, but initially, they both have trouble hitting anything.  On the fourth try, Richie knocks over the rightmost target with 48 seconds on the clock.  They both miss several times after that, until Brock knocks over his leftmost target at the halfway mark.
?Players gotta focus and aim, it?s tough,? Kirk explains.  At :21, Brock also gets the rightmost target down, and then hits the second-leftmost one immediately after. ?Green Monkey needs just one more!? As time runs out, Richie knocks down his second-from-left target; a pattern of ceiling spotlights flashes to indicate that the Temple Game is over.
?All right!? Kirk reappears onscreen to count the scores. ?Silver Snakes got two soldiers, but Green Monkeys got three! They get another half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?So it?s Green Monkeys have a Pendant, Silver Snakes don?t have any yet, but this next game is worth a full Pendant.  It?s the third and final game.  Olmec, tell us.?

Olmec narrates:
?Akhenaten moved all the tombs across the Nile River, but when King Tut took over, everything was put back.  In this game, you and your partner only need to bring a few artifacts across the river once.  When Kirk gives the signal, grab a gold artifact and run out to meet your partner at the middle of the path.  Then pass the gold treasure to your partner, who will slide back and place it in your team?s treasure box.  Then you?ll go back and do it again.
?The team with the most pieces of gold in their treasure box after 60 seconds wins.?
?Silver Snakes need this to tie it up,? Kirk reminds the audience. ?60 seconds on the clock.? The clock then appears on the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
As soon as Kirk shouts ?go,? the players walk against the force of the bungee cords attaching them to the walls behind them using the handholds in the raised sides of the tracks.  At the :50 mark, the Green Monkeys meet in the middle for the first time, two seconds before the Silver Snakes do the same.  The teams get their first artifacts in the bin at 46 and 44 seconds respectively.  Both teams complete the second transfers at :28, however.
?It?s like a mirror image right now!? Kirk comments as both teams drop off their second artifacts. ?So far, so good!? With 18 seconds left, Richie of the Silver Snakes loses his grip and goes sliding backward a bit; they complete their third transfer with only six seconds left, almost four seconds behind the Green Monkeys.  Amanda slips and slides back on her next way up; the ceiling spotlights indicate time is up before either team can complete another transfer.
?Time?s up guys!? Kirk says as he comes onscreen.  He goes out to the space between the two tracks with the raised edges and grabs the buckets; the players walk over as soon as the spotters release them from their harnesses. ?Time to count it up.  The Silver Monkeys got?? he pulls the treasures out as he counts? ?one, two, three objects.  Green got one, two, three objects! It?s a tie? they each get the full Pendant, giving the Silver Snakes one Pendant, but the Green Monkeys get two? They?re going to the Temple!? Amanda jumps up and down excitedly.  She and Brock then hug for a moment while Kirk goes to talk with Madison and Richie. ?Great effort by the Silver Snakes.  Here?s what we?ve got for them.? Richie and Madison will each be receiving a copy of the Sonic Riders Nintendo GameCube game.
The camera cuts back to Kirk standing in front of the equipment for the third Temple Game with his arms slung around Brock and Amanda. ?We?ll see the Green Monkeys make it through Olmec?s Temple and retrieve that Scroll of Ackin-Ackin,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera zooms in on the Spiritual Scroll in the Dragon?s Lair before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten
« Reply #3 on: June 25, 2009, 12:23:33 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs next to Brock and Amanda. "Welcome back to Legends," he says to the camera. "The Green Monkeys have proven themselves worthy and earned the right to enter Olmec?s Temple.  But before they go, Olmec?s gonna give some information to help them retrieve the Spritual Scroll of Ock-notten."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, where you can grab the Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten? or, you might go into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Abandoned Cave.
?There, climb up the ladder into the Planetarium, and spin the correct sphere to open the door to the SHRIIIIiiine? of the Silver Monkey.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Next, race up to the Laser Light Room, find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 2 Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
After looking at Kirk for a moment, Brock raises his hand and answers:
"I am."
"Very well, Brock," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Scroll.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Amanda's turn to enter and try her luck.  If you can reach the Scroll, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how!"
?   For just getting into the Temple, they?re each going to get camping gear provided by Outdoor Products.
?   If they can grab the Scroll within 3 minutes, they?re both going to get an Ultra-Bounce trampoline provided by Bollinger.
?   And if they can get the Spiritual Scroll out of the Temple before 3 minutes is up, they?ll both be going to Quebec City! They?ll be staying for three days at Delta Quebec, with an indoor exercise room, an outdoor heated pool and an underground mall and they?ll be there during the Carnaval de Qu?bec.  Delta Quebec, for a prize package totaling $10,734!

"All right, let?s get these Green Monkeys to Quebec!" Kirk says before turning to Brock. "Brock, let?s get you out in front.  Both of your mouthpieces in.  Set the clock for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec hums as he lowers the gate.
"On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There goes Brock! This guy?s fast!? Kirk comments as Brock runs up the stairs, passes beyond the Temple Gate and slides down into the Crevasse.  He makes his way across the room without too much trouble, hits the actuator for the upper crawl tube, crawls through and slowly climbs down into the Mine Shaft.  He puts in the bucket the five rocks he needs to raise the stone slab, then tosses in another two before turning to look at the lifted slab.  With 2:19 remaining, he hits the actuator and then crawls through into the Crystal Cave.
?These guys staged a great comeback,? Kirk comments as Brock starts pulling down the stalactites. ?They were last in the Moat and the Steps, but won all three Temple Games.? Brock pulls down all three stalactites, opening the door into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  He starts up the ladder which would lead him into the Dragon?s Lair, but the locked door prevents him from entering. ?Wants to go into the Room of the Dragon?s Lair, but it?s not open!?
?Go Brock! You can do it!? Amanda screams out as Brock looks over at the door leading into the Junction of the Secret Shafts from halfway up the ladder in the Crystal Cave (2:02).  He climbs back down the ladder, walks across the Cave and through the door to enter the Junction of the Secret Shafts. ?C?mon! C?mon!? Brock hits the actuator to the nearer-to-camera crawl tube, but it doesn?t open.  Only the further crawl tube opens, so Brock enters the Switch Inferno with 1:49 on the clock.  Without thinking twice, he heads across the room and breaks through the rock wall to enter the Abandoned Cave, but from the door in the back of the room comes the first TEMPLE GUARD!
?Whoa! Temple Guard! Give ?em the Pendant!? Kirk shouts, and Brock wades across the Abandoned Cave so he can hand over his Pendant of Life to the Temple Guard (1:35).  He looks around as the Temple Guard disappears, perhaps deciding where to go.
?Go on Brock!? screeches Amanda. ?GO ON!?
?He?s gotta keep going up! Minute thirty!? Kirk remarks, and Brock wades through the fallen rocks and logs to return to the ladder going up into the Planetarium, as suggested by Kirk.  Brock sets foot in the room with 1:22 remaining and goes over to the astronomical model in the room. ?He?s gotta spin the right one of the spheres to move on!? Brock looks at the four planets within the model, then grabs onto each one.  He spins the small purple planet, the big orange-red one and the medium-sized tan one before the door leading into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey opens (1:09); he goes on without spinning the teal planet.
?Into the Shrine of the Monkey,? announces Kirk, ?where he?ll only be two rooms away from the Scroll!?
Amanda shrieks in excitement. ?GO BROCK! You can do it! C?MON!!?
Brock grabs the pieces of the silver monkey one at a time, making sure each one is perfectly in place before starting in on the next.  With 46 seconds left, he jams down the head.  All the doors open, and he goes on into the Knights? Barracks.  With Amanda screaming for him in the background, Brock grabs the sword and puts it in the stage-left sheath.  Nothing happens and no doors open, but when he tries the middle sheath, the gauntlets of the armor he placed himself in reach out and grab him? the armor?s possessed by a TEMPLE SPIRIT!
?Oh! Go Amanda! Get your mouthpiece!? Kirk shouts.  Amanda takes a moment to pop her mouthpiece back in, then heads up into the Temple with 36 seconds to go.  She passes through the Crevasse, Mine Shaft, Crystal Cave and Junction of the Secret Shafts, and enters the Switch Inferno with five seconds left.  She goes over to the golden door, then turns back to the Junction of the Secret Shafts? but we?re out of time!
?Aww, time? ran out of time!? remarks Kirk. ?She ran out of time in the Switch Room, but they both gave it a great effort.  Brock cleared out a major path.  They still both get the camping gear just for getting here, and we gotta go.  See you again next time for more adventure and another great Legend of the Hidden Temple! Buh-bye!? Kirk waves at the camera; the two players appear as the credits roll.  Rooms such as the Planetarium and the Dragon?s Lair are shown as the credits roll.

Rediscovery EP: The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten
« Reply #4 on: June 25, 2009, 12:29:52 PM »
Temple Run Summary
Episode 55px]

Name of Artifact: The Spiritual Scroll of Akhenaten
Season: 2
Layout: 3 (7 overall)
Result: Failed acquisition
Time Remaining: N/A
Team: Green Monkeys
Pendants Won: 2
Location of Artifact: The Dragon's Lair

It seems like Season 2 had a lot of Temple Runs where the player was captured only one room away from the artifact.  Brock wasn't the fasest player, and it didn't help that he went the long way without even trying to go into the Shrine of the Silver Monkey a bit sooner, which would have worked, evident by all the doors opening after he puts the monkey together.  Perhaps he was discouraged from using shortcuts when the door into the Dragon's Lair from the Crystal Cave didn't open, but had he tried to go up from the Switch Inferno, this would've been a solo win.

Amanda was screaming at him a lot of the time to go on, but unfortunately, she couldn't pull her weight.  Brock was taken out of the Temple just one room away from the scroll with thirty-six seconds left.  That clearly wasn't enough time to win, but Amanda still should've made it further than she did.  When time ran out, she was turning back from the Switch Inferno to reenter the Junction of the Secret Shafts.

Trivia and Records:
The Planetarium appeared in fourteen Temple Runs, but this is one of only two where its objective is completed.  The other run where this occurs is "The Smashed Spit of Roche Braziliano," the episode that aired immediately before this one.
